The Roots of Lawfare

Although the term “Lawfare” has origins going back to the 1950s, it remained relatively dormant and unknown until 1999 and 2001, where first Chinese military officers used the term in their book titled Unrestricted Warfare: China’s Master Plan to Destroy America. Two years later, the term was used in a paper by the highly respected, then-Air Force colonel (and later general) Charles Dunlap. In his several papers on the subject General Dunlap defined “Lawfare” as: “the strategy of using -- or misusing -- law as a substitute for traditional military means to achieve an operational objective.” The first nationally infamous use of “lawfare”

If the profession is incapable of regulating itself, perhaps it is time for lawyers to be regulated by an outside authority.

So far, anyway, the dims and its legal circles have not turned to re-education (akin to Jack Ma in China) and for that matter, assassinations...yet.

Those abusing the legal system and prosecutorial authority should be held personally liable. Right now they go scot free when they are found out or fail. Bob Mueller, Andrew Weissman for example. Personally I feel corporal punishment would not be too severe.

The first use of lawfare goes back farther to Nixon, and probably before.

Seems like what was done to Sarah Palin in 2009 would fit into that category, too (paralyzing her with an unrelenting series of baseless lawsuits in a state without "loser pays" protections against such).

The US and the UK are ready to carry out airstrikes against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen as early as tonight - after both countries warned there could be consequences if ships are continually targeted in the Red Sea. Joint US and British forces shot down 18 drones and three missiles launched by the Houthis late Tuesday, in what was described as their biggest attack so far in solidarity with Palestinians in Hamas-ruled Gaza. Antony Blinken warned of 'consequences' if the Houthi do not stop attacking ships in the Red Sea, and called on Iran to end their support for the rebels.

Over the last several years, the U.S. Military has struggled to meet recruitment goals across all branches, perhaps most of all with the Army. One of the reasons for this has now been explained. White men are no longer enlisting in the numbers they did in the past. Families which used to encourage young men to enlist are doing so in far fewer numbers for reasons which are obvious to many. New woke policies, the vaccine mandates and the embrace of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies mean white recruits are looked over for advancement in the US Military today. All of these factors have all contributed to this decline
