In a fiery interview on Steve Bannon’s “War Room,” Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) did not hold back in her criticism of Speaker Mike Johnson, suggesting his leadership is failing Republicans and that he might need to be removed from his position.
This comes after Johnson announced a $1.590 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2024, earning praise from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.)
The proposed budget has sparked outrage among members of the House Freedom Caucus.

Wish I knew who threatened him and with what. It's likely why the republicans are scared to do anything anymore.

Okay, children (and GOP Congresscritters). Be nice, and play nice. We have serious stuff to attend to ... like impeachments, trying to keep Biden from messing up anymore than he is already doing, an election, and fighting off the swamp creatures outside of the GOP.
Let's hold this fight off until AFTER the election. Lose the House and who cares? Would be nice if the appropriation bills were done instead of screwing around with another CR or whatever they call these, but then again, our Senate Republican colleagues (ie Turtle) aren't being very helpful either.

They've been operating on CR's (continuing resolutions) since 2007.
If you can't return to General Order, then you'll never be able to change anything with regards to spending.
She should know this, and stop pretending they have actual "power of the purse".
Bannon knows this too.
You want to change things, then start talking about how the problem needs to be fixed, but Democrats are not interested in changing the status quo that was initiated by Sen. Harry Reid to prevent their members from the need to cast "tough votes" on spending.

It should be noted that that the reason that Republicans have not been able to get more in negotiations is that Republicans that insist on getting everything they want or the vote against it consistently result in getting even less. Blaming the Speaker for this is the most deplorable hypocrisy. Voters would be wise to vote those throw the grandstand hissy fits out of office. They only do harm.

I am astonished that Matt Gaetz hasn't run to the media to shriek his outrage after the House announced a bloated budget that meets the approval of Chuck Schumer. The House went through weeks of turmoil after Gaetz and his crew fired Kevin McCarthy for doing last year what Speaker Johnson is doing now. Come on Matt, your fans, and even those who detest you, await your comments on the budget with bated breath.

why are the repubs so afraid of the government "shutting down" to echo what Rush said many years ago:
"the only time the country is safe is when congress is not in session"

Vacate the chair. Throw them out of the Speaker office, until you get a Speaker that does not make deals with Schumer.

Reminded of the old joke about the rich worthless punk that was born on Third Base and thinks he hit a triple.
Johnson was really lucky and should realize this could all go away quite quickly. Just like it came.
Johnson, don't forget who brung ya's to the Dance.

Marj, we don't have time to screw around anymore with the Speakership right now. We have much bigger fish to fry regarding who will sit at the Resolute Desk comes January 2025.

Fiscal conservatism lost traction with the demise of the Tea Party and when Trump was president. Populism replaced Conservatism within the GOP, thus culture wars became the main populist focus. While Obama raised our national debt alarmingly, the debt grew around $6.7 to $7.8 trillion under President Trump. A lot of that was COVID related. At least with Trump, the middle class received a tax cut. It is not just the GOPe than lacks federal spending discipline.

#12 makes a good pint. Politicians of all types will sell out if the price is right. The "Good Christian" politicians seem to sell out for nothing. But they do it with a contented look on their faces and carrying a bible, so I guess its ok.

She is right. I wondered why Johnson was so quickly affirmed. Now it is clear, and he is not playing some kind of four D chess. He is a compromiser just like McCarthy. Are there no American First leaders Congress?!

How does Johnson make binding deals on his own? I'm so sick of these people. Our side has gone from being weak (complicit) to incompetence. Figure out a way to win, doggonit!

Dear House Republicans,
The voters gave you two years. There are 10 months left.
You have accomplished nothing.
Keep this up, and you will again be the minority party.
Sincerely,
The Voters
