Minneapolis City Council to vote Monday
on resolution calling for ceasefire in Gaza

Members of the Minneapolis City Council will be meeting Monday morning to discuss and also vote on a resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza after a weekend of demonstrations in the city. The Free Palestine Coalition ended a week of planned protests and calling for a ceasefire during a Sunday event, when they marched from the federal building to senator Amy Klobuchar’s Office. However, as councilors meet, there seems to be a divide between some of them and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Comments:

oh.. and you thought there were Swedes,Norwegians and Germans in this dump? Carpetbagger Jakie Frey and Amy Komb-uchar now dancing COMPLETELY to omar's tune..

Oops... sent too early Where Charles Durning, as the Governor of Texas, was asked about what should be done in the Middle East, was to reply, "The Jews and the Arabs should settle their differences in a Christian manner." Makes about as much sense as this. Plus Durning stole the show with the musical number that followed. Sadly, the Minneapolis city council will not be as entertaining.

As long as things remain "Proportional" I have no problems with it...The Palestinians already established the exact ratio of proportion when they demanded, and received, 1,500 lawfully arrested, tried, and incarcerated of their "warriors" to be returned in exchange for ONE Israeli soldier that they kidnapped and dragged back into Gaza. Hence 1500:1 is "Fair" Israel has had approx 1500 of their citizens killed or captured by Hamas, thus Hamas casualties need to be 2,250,000, just to be "Fair". Each new Israeli casualty adds another 1,500 to the ledger of Palestinians that must then be offed..

They really should go farther to show solidarity with Hamas, it's time to formally change Minneapolis' name to Mogadishu. In 2018 they changed suburban Lake Calhoun to some unintelligible Dakota name, so they already know the process. And St. Paul should be ashamed for keeping a Christian saint as their namesake in these enlightened times. Go for it Twin Cities, become Mogadishu-Mohammed.

Hey Minnesota Mogadishu City Council! I suggest that you pass a Resolution DEMANDING that HAMAS stop attacking, murdering, raping, torturing, and burning Israelis! I have not yet seen where HAMAS 'leaders' asked for or offered a permanent end to hostilities. All they call for is a pause so that they can re-stock, and genocide of the Israelis. So MANY good comments! Thanks #18, I never knew about Mr. Durning's war record. #31, Your proposal of 'proportionality' is Spot On!
