As nearly all parts of the political spectrum agree, average Americans are extremely unhappy these days. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows that a hefty majority sees the federal government’s recent performance as the cause of their disgruntlement. With news stories regularly highlighting widespread anger among voters, we asked the following question for our December national online poll, taken from Nov. 29-Dec. 1 by 1,464 adult registered voters: “Which of the following best describes how you feel about the federal government?” Respondents were then given four possible responses: “satisfied,” “frustrated,” “angry,” and “not sure.”

Sleepy Joe is by far the worst president in my lifetime, and I'm old enough to remember Jimmy Carter. He works against the best interests of the American people all day every day, and then smirks at us with infuriating glee because he knows we're stuck with him. Biden knows he doesn't even have to run for elections anymore. All he has to do is cheat. He cares nothing for the American people. Nothing.

I used to trust a few agencies that I naively assumed were more about science and medicine than politics. COVID showed me that EVERY government agency is about power and politics with a liberal larding of contempt for the average American. Now I do not trust anything the Federal government says.

This is great but we need to reach those Americans who still have their heads in the sand, or in some other orifice, to wake up and recognize what the democrats are trying to pull off. The left is deep in the Alinsky Factor by overwhelming the system using unchecked immigration, the trans sexual factor, various groups protesting and demonstrating their particular hatred. You name it and it's designed to boggle the mind and overwhelm the norms of society. Thanks Obama.

The Washington crowd will never say it out loud, but they perceive the biggest threat to our country is anyone that would turn off Washington's money spigot. It's both parties. That is also the chief reason why the nation is in the mess it's in.

There you go: I&I/TIPP asked respondents which would they prefer: “A smaller government providing fewer services,” or “A bigger government providing more services,” or “not sure.” Overall, 38% chose the “smaller government, fewer services” option vs. 40% who picked the “bigger government, more services” option. Almost equal.

Democrats don’t support open borders for humanitarian reasons. They want the lines erased because they see every illegal alien as a likely Democratic voter crucial to their political power grab. But there’s another reason: They want to increase the populations of Democratic states to boost their representation in Congress and the Electoral College. Apparently, it’s not enough for Democrats to have become authoritarians, they have to be corrupt, too. Of course this is no surprise. Only the corrupt become authoritarians. Austrian economist Friedrich Hayek showed in chapter 10 of “The Road to Serfdom” why socialist systems never have decent people in charge.

The latest evidence that electric vehicles are nothing more than environmental snake oil can be found in a recent Wall Street Journal article pointing out that these “clean” cars are actually more polluting than their gasoline-powered brethren. By polluting, we mean actual pollution, not carbon dioxide emissions – which is not pollution but plant food. The Journal was highlighting a study from 2022 that, naturally, was ignored by the mainstream press at the time. What the study found was that “brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes.” Why? Because EVs are as much as 30% heavier than gas-powered cars, which means

President Joe Biden brags that the budget he released on Monday would cut the deficit by $3 trillion, even while offering truckloads of new goodies to Americans. That will get headlines. What won’t make the news is the fact that his Fiscal 2025 budget provides clear and incontrovertible evidence that he has caused a fiscal and economic disaster of epic proportions. How do we know this? Because buried in the back of the annual budget document is a table called “Baseline by Category.” This is a forecast of spending, revenues, and deficits that would result if the government is left on autopilot.

Here’s what Biden said: THE PRESIDENT: You know, there are 1,000 billionaires in America. You know what the average federal tax is for those billionaires? AUDIENCE MEMBER: Zero! The left seems increasingly resigned to the fact that Donald Trump could defeat Joe Biden in a rematch this November. So much so that it is busy speculating about the hellscape Trump II will unleash. He will destroy democracy. He will rule as an authoritarian. And so forth. The New York Times took another stab at it Thursday in its daily email newsletter, The Morning. David Leonhardt, who runs the newsletter, says that a good way to understand how Trump might govern in a second term is to look at his “affinity” for Viktor Orban, the conservative prime minister of Hungary, who has become the bête noire of the left.

Despite farcical claims about the wonderful success of Bidenomics, Americans don’t buy the media and White House spin any longer, if they ever did. They know the economy’s going backward and that inflation remains a dire threat to our nation’s standard of living and its global economic leadership. For those of a certain age, there’s a whiff of 1970s-style stagflation in the air. It was a period of high inflation, insufficient growth, and, to borrow a phrase, near-universal cultural and economic malaise. Everyone felt as if they were falling behind. After a 40-year stretch of low inflation, solid growth and rising real incomes, the economy has returned to its dire ’70s-version.

However, the city is scrambling as the number continues to climb and the migrants look to build a new life in America, which includes housing and work. But for companies like Tyson Foods Inc., struggling to fill unpopular jobs with a U.S. unemployment rate of 3.9%, this new population presents an alluring opportunity. The food processing company wants to hire 52,000 asylum seekers for factory jobs, offering a starting wage of $16.50 per hour along with benefits.

Senator Bernie Sanders believes it is long past time the United States moves away from a 40-hour workweek and establishes a 32-hour standard workweek without reducing workers' pay. The Vermont senator introduced legislation that would do just that. But his proposal is already being met with stiff opposition across the aisle. The Thirty-Two Hour Workweek Act would reduce the standard workweek in the United States from 40 at 32-hours over four years while maintaining worker pay. It would also require overtime pay and a half for workdays longer than 8 hours and overtime doubling pay for workdays longer than 12 hours.

The tempestuous title regards the torrential downpour of chaos that occurred in 2020, ignited by the late George Floyd's pivotal plight on May 25th in Minneapolis. The song -- which is part of a larger work -- began as a poem penned by Claudia Rankine, co-founder of the Racial Imaginary Institute.
