We were friends for years. Trump tore

I miss my friends. We lost one another somewhere along the way, through the pandemic and politics of the last few years, old boys who had known one another since Little League and caught boatloads of walleyes together on Storm Lake in Iowa. (snip) I know where I live. Northwest Iowa is a frozen slice of Texas, one of the most conservative places in the country. I guess I am what you call woke because I don't think immigrants are the problem; I think income — lack of it — is the problem.

Don't waste your time. The writer is a newspaper editor, anti-Trump and whiney. For the record, Trump didn't tear anything apart. He tore off the band-aid, and what was underneath turns out to be pretty ugly and vengeful.

You're the problem. Under Trump, real wages went up for everyone. Inflation was low as were interest rates, and gas cost less than two bucks a gallon. If that isn't good enough for you, then don't vote or leave the country.

Yet another delusional Leftist (yes that's a redundancy) who can't reason, and is driven by propaganda. "Not even Rooster could talk over Donald Trump. A would-be tyrant holed up at a Florida golf course with a bunch of sycophants changed the conversation in our metal shed. Its walls could not ward off the bombardment of propaganda, lies and false fears fostered by a half century of justifiable frustration wrought by consolidation, decline and loss." "The ad hominem attacks have become the norm, especially since Trump took center stage and refuses to exit. . . . We're stuck there whether Trump leaves or hangs around. That's my lament." So, Trump caused the division, but the division will never be healed by Trumps departure? Of course it won't. Because he never caused it. Duh. Never forgive, never forget, and never let the Left get away with this "who me?" nonsense.

"Immigration isn't the problem...income is"....If this dude had 20,000ilegal "migrants" suddenly show up and all try to get jobs in HIS chosen field of work, effecting HIS income? Different tune. His "Income is the issue" fails it's test in that his social subsidy "solution" to the problems was already tried....in the very places these people are fleeing, that is WHY they are all coming here. If he and his Ilk would MAIL them all even 10% of what they make, those migrants would be considered "Wealthy" in their hometowns. If they all stayed in their countries and worked as hard at changing their Govt/Legal/economic systems to something MORE like the USA's historic systems as they plan on "working hard" here? instead of trying to alter the USA's to mimic their failed ones? Everyone rises, everyone wins... Dude even further goes astray when he equates Trump with MegaCorp "wealth stealers"....Those folks didn't support Trump, still don't, they ALL donated to Clinton, to Biden, and still do today.

FTA: "I guess I am what you call woke because I don't think immigrants are the problem; I think income — lack of it — is the problem." Whoa! Save the propaganda for your readers. Immigrants come the United States legally with our PERMISSION. They are vetted. We know who they are. Trump supports that. It's called America First. It's Biden and his dictatorial America Last agenda that is causing people to question his motives, as well as the motives of his supporters. Biden's invitees are economic migrants, not asylum seekers. They are unvetted illegal aliens, and they are here because corrupt politicians, uneleced bureaucrats, globalists and NGOs are using imported poverty to reduce "income disparities" by making wealthier nations less wealthy. It was Obama who spoke approvingly of "spreading the wealth around." Donald Trump has never worked against the American people or their interests. He has supported America and Americans FIRST. That's what Americans want. They now understand what they lost with Biden's election. They want Donald Trump and their country back.

From the Left they have this almost exact talking point they like to recite which means they aren't being critical thinkers or reasonable. I'll bet this guy would scream at the top of his lungs if the President told Amazon they shouldn't promote certain books as being a tyrant and authoritarian. Yet that's exactly what the Biden administration did recently. As far as immigration, there is a legal way and an illegal way and no asylum is simply being used to cheat the system since almost none actually meet the usual criteria of asylum. The wall/barrier/fence that Trump proposed was simply to close the open sections and funnel the people to the Ports of Entry. So, people could come through the front door. Democrats refused the $5 billion request so they could have the political issue.

Funny how this dope lays all of the conflict at Trump's feet yet never mentions the destruction wrought by BLM, the Trans movement, non-stop illegal immigration, DEI, and the list goes on. But yeah, good 'ole dope-smoking Rooster could have weighed in with some words of wisdom to set his whole gang straight and they'd all be best buds again. Claim: Comedian Jon Stewart said this week that the loans at the center of the civil real-estate case against Donald Trump meant there were fewer loans available to other borrowers. “Money isn’t infinite. A loan that goes to the liar doesn’t go to someone who’s giving a more honest evaluation. So the system becomes incentivized for corruption,” Stewart said. Verdict: False. The amount of money available for loans from banks is not diminished when banks make loans to other customers, except in the rare case of a distressed bank that is capital-constrained.
