President Joe Biden on Monday touted his administration's success in bringing down the price of gas, groceries and airline tickets during the past year but received little thanks for his efforts.
Republicans ridiculed his claims.
'FACT: Since Biden took office, airfare is up 21%, Thanksgiving dinner was up 25%, and gas prices are $0.86/gallon higher,' the Republican National Committee said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. It illustrates the difficulty Biden faces as he tries to sell what his administration believes is an economic good news story ahead of next year's general election.

Biden lacks curiosity. He is taking the word of those pulling his strings that his economy is good. Why doesn't he have some ordinary workers into the White House to tell him what's what instead of having the teachers unions and the tech giants and Obama acolytes telling him the economy is great? He utterly lacks a work ethic and does what he is told --- no more. The man is old and tired and gullible and should retire to ice cream cones.

The Demented Fuhrer is told what to say. Many of the electorate sheep, Baa Baa, believe in him, not reality.

One note: Gas prices have indeed fallen from their peak but not because of Biden. While the government (that is, Biden) can stop drilling on Federal Lands and off shore and hold up pipelines, a lot of oil remains under private ownership where oil CAN be drilled. I read an article citing the facts: we're producing more oil than we did at the peak in 2019. $79/bbl is well above the break even point for many oil wells.
So, of course, he'll take the credit.

Consequently, I just came back from getting the oil changed in my Ram pickup this morning. Funny to see this since while I was waiting at the oil change place, they had cnbc on the TV in the waiting area. Well, guess who they were showing on cnbc, none other than the big bidet telling people to stop price gouging. What an absolute joke! I couldn't help but wonder how many people there this morning were quietly shaking their heads in disbelief, and secondly since when did this place leave the TV station on cnbc?

Saying "I did that" is taking credit, only if what "that" refers to is popular.
In response to his gem, "stop price gouging", somebody should have flatly said, "stop gaslighting, you lying sack of excrement."

If Biden brought prices down, that means they must have been higher under Trump! See how that works? All of Biden's supporters will go along with that statement and lie just as much as Biden.
F Joe Biden!

Biden’s leftist ventriloquists know that the AP, Reuters and most local tv and radio news outlets will simply broadcast his lies without the slightest fact checking. Which is why the White House has Joe make these clearly false and easily refuted lies. Biden’s falsehoods will also be repeated ad nausem by Dem Senators and House members, again without challenges or fact checking.

It’s a democrat ruse. They come in and spend gazillions, then they spend more gazillions, less 2%. They then take credit for reducing the deficit!

Every time someone begins a statement with the word 'Together', put your waders on. Following that sentence will be a big word salad of pig slop. I resent it when Biden says we did something together - I'll have no part of his dementia.

Gas prices are down slightly because the demand is down. So in other words, Biden's destruction of the economy did in fact lead to lower gas prices. For the last month, I have noticed far fewer cars on the road.
As for shopping, why aren't the stores busy around here? Yes, I realize that people prefer to buy online, but it's kind of strange seeing so few people out shopping after Thanksgiving. I'm guessing that credit card limits have been reached and people are simply broke.

How about that bobblehead press secretary, huh? Ultra cringe. I mean, does everyone in this administration lie...constantly? The minute "Dr" Jill hid Captain Pantload in the basement, I knew we were hosed. Good advice from my old man, "keep both hands over your @$$hole at all times." Thanks, Pop.

Hopefully, everybody realizes Biden can’t tell the truth to save his soul. Only he could claim that last year’s 3.5% increase in inflation as a decrease in inflation.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
