Car dealers across the United States are warning President Joe Biden that his “unrealistic” green energy agenda must be abandoned, mainly because Americans are not buying Electric Vehicles (EVs) as the administration expected.
Executives with car dealerships from Massachusetts to Alabama to Wyoming sent a letter to Biden this week, urging his administration to drop EV mandates and green energy requirements on the auto industry, citing a lack of interest among American consumers in EVs. “… we are asking you to slow down your proposed regulations mandating battery electric vehicle (BEV) production and distribution,” the car dealers tell Biden:
Your administration has proposed regulations that would

There will be a time in the future when the stars aline that this will be a possible, feasible and a realistic choice. That time is not now. The belief that you can switch out cars and anything else that runs on fossil fuel as simple as it is to replace a 75 watt bulb with a 100 watt bulb is a pie in the sky liar. Most of the climate crisis solutions they are pushing are nothing by a stranglehold of power by them over us.

Battery powered BIG things are horrible for everyone! The horrific working/environmental conditions of the miners of the rare earth minerals necessary to create the batteries for these horrors are inhumane and ANYONE advocating for this should be forced to spend at least one week doing this work.
Oil/gas on the other hand is easy and safe to procure and use.
Prove me wrong.

The EV situation reminds me of when I was four years old, and my mother told me I couldn't leave the table unless I ate my vegetables. I knew bedtime would come and I could wait her out. A vegetable hasn't crossed my lips since that age. I'm a stubborn gal. My fellow gas car-loving Americans are made of the same stock. Gas cars mean freedom of movement and Americans love freedom. We will not be tethered by a moronic electrical cord to a glorified golf cart when the open road calls. The Dems can take their EV batteries and shove them where the sun don't shine. They can use them to light their personal gas emissions.

and the reply from the demcommies, in the person of jobiden, will be - then stop selling gas powered vehicles and only stock electric vehicles, so
- if that's what the demcommies call "Democracy" give me Francisco Franco or Juan Peron because
- that's what we have with this present administration ... a demagogic dictator but
- it's not the one in the Oval Office
- it's the one who pulls the strings
- that makes the one in the Oval Office do what is he is told to do

The brainless Bidenites do not care. They don't want people able to drive anyway - that is entirely too much freedom for us ordinary schmucks.

I wouldn't want to be the recipient of an EV, even if I won it in some lottery. Besides, it would probably be the ugliest shade of a creepy color since the oxidized green 1949 Hudson still parked under your elderly neighbor's carport. Our concept of EVs is at least 40 years too soon.

My car has 50k miles on it and I just put new heavy duty tires on it. It has a life-time warranty on it so I plan to drive it for as long as I can. I have had no less than three battery driven Dyson vacuums that haven't worked so I'm not interested in an EV.

Having lived in Montana here temps can go into the -20 to -50 degree range, let's see how long your battery lasts, run the AC during the summer? I'll keep my "gas guzzling" RAM truck. 500+ mile range, comfort and it doesn't turn into a road flare.

The democrat answer to this will be to increase the subsidies and tax rebates. They are far too invested in the Green scam to give up on it now. The Chinese and Bidens stand to lose too much money otherwise.

The Gorons will resist mightily, but these vehicles make no practical sense, people don't want them, and won't have them. O'Biden will have to punt on this one, or lose all American car companies, which are dying of electric foolishness, losing tens of thousands of dollars per electric vehicle sold. That can't go on much longer. The government should not be able to tell us what to buy, and how to live.

The car dealers don't understand big government. If the peasantry aren't buying, the government must tighten the regulations and force the people to buy the electric cars. The government must be obeyed!

With grids like California and Texas struggling to keep electric power during extremely cold or hot weather, only idiots would want all cars to go electric!

When battery powered cars are affordable and make sense to purchasers, the Government will not have to mandate them.

I work at one of our Naval bases in our wonderful country. I came in this past Monday and sure enough there are two EV government vehicles being pugged up like appliances in the motor pool. Thankfully I'll never have to use them and will NEVER own one as a POV. All of the environmentalist wackos in the FJB regime and elsewhere need to understand that as a whole We the People don't want EVs. Period.

Maybe 10% of car buyers really want an EV. Most are upper income who use it for runs to Whole Foods or Starbucks. They probably have a (tattered) COEXIST bumper sticker on the back for good measure. Few, if any, would take an EV on a roadtrip of more than 100 miles.

Car dealers better watch out, it wasn't that long ago (~14 years) Obama closed many car dealers that they didn't like for political reasons and favored those they did like. All very illegal but he did it. Soo I predict those that do not sell enough EVs will feel the wrath of the anti-democratic party.

The government can pressure dealers and drivers but they can't force the sale of these impractical, combustible toys to the average driver. I see a lot of bankruptcies in the auto industry in the near future.

It's not ignorance. Biden, Obama and others at the top of the chain still own or are buying, ocean side properties. They know the truth but climate change is so all-encompassing that it allows them demand control over everything.

Considering how the puppet's handlers work, they'll double down and try to ban cars with internal combustion engines so that people have to buy coal-powered cars.

Visiting relatives in two different states, and friends, too.....universal rejection of EVs by every one of them when the topic came up.
Nobody wants those damned things.
