When campaigning for your 2022 vote, did you see any advertisements from conservative candidates promoting the idea, “If you elect me, I will vote for raising taxes on gasoline, unlimited expansion of casino gambling, legalizing marijuana, and keeping Alabama’s K-12 education system 50th in the nation?” The answer is a resounding NO! Yet given the direction of these issues in our state, you’re likely perplexed as to who is really running Montgomery.

Lots of corruption in both parties in many states. Often this can be traced back to a powerful state House Speaker who is crooked, and or a few "top Senators" in a state who run things and are paid off by powerful interests. In nearby Missouri, a very powerful, long time House Speaker got so brazen that he sent a letter of blackmail to a casino company....and it got made public and he was arrested, convicted and imprisoned along with several long time staff members. Cleaned out a lot of corruption. But, you have to have a brave prosecutor and some honest judges - but starting to near extinction in our corrupt country. And people have to care, and vote carefully, not for the same old faces.

As far as weed goes, there’s not a lot of people that want marijuana laws enforced so if it’s going to be de facto legal you might as well tax it.

Much of the planet is holding its breath waiting for the next move in the war in Israel and wondering if it will spiral out of control into a wider regional war… Evil will always exist, but the greatest danger to free people are the so-called moderates that refuse to acknowledge or choose between good and evil. While most are unsuspecting, it is among the cowardly or undecided where Satan makes his greatest gains.

...The image of the empty altar-place, stripped clean as though by birds on a roadkill, brought my mind back to something I saw online not long after the Hamas attack on Israel. It was a young Muslim man standing frantic and desperate in Times Square, claiming that now was the time that EVERYONE must convert to the religion of Islam. “Is the West strong enough to withstand this?” I wondered.

A wild crash on a California freeway was captured on video last week showing a car flip through the air after it struck a tire that popped off a pickup truck and was sent airborne. The accident happened Thursday on the Ronald Reagan Freeway in Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles. Anoop Khatra was driving behind a dark-colored Kia Soul in the left lane when her dashcam recorded the heart-pounding moment. A white pickup truck was driving in the lane adjacent to the Kia when the pickup’s front-left tire popped loose and shot out in front of the Kia, according to the video.

MONTGOMERY — The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments Friday for overturning a preliminary injunction filed against Alabama's Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act (VCAP). In April, Gov. Kay Ivey signed VCAP (SB184) into law, which prohibits doctors in the state of Alabama from performing transgender operations or prescribing cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to individuals under 19.  VCAP went into effect on May 8 but was blocked by U.S. District Judge Liles Burke a few days later..."Of course, we have a rational basis for preventing the sterilization of children; it's to prevent the sterilization of children,"...

While most men accept the surface of things, the masters of men use the surface to mean many different things for their many different ends. If you wish to understand politics, do not listen merely to the words political people say but rather inspect below the surface for the necessities such people may face. The same applies to entire nations. On the surface level, we may still have de jure freedom and democracy in America, but below the surface, the government's necessary evils have expanded to a de facto tyranny of loosely aligned interests.

Republicans went into the midterm election Tuesday hoping to take back Congress from Democrats in a "red wave." When that didn't happen, many began speculating about what led to the low performance, but U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) said the GOP has no one to blame but themselves. "For more than two decades, all across America, GOP office-holders have dismally failed to protect and promote moral values, border security, liberty and freedom, balanced budgets, family incomes, the public's interests (not special interests), free enterprise, and the like," Brooks told 1819 News.

Teachers' unions have long been controversial in the United States, especially now, as polarizing discussions about public education in America are front and center. The most prominent teachers’ union in the United States is the National Education Association (NEA). By extension, the NEA has affiliates throughout the country...."The Communist governments consider it a great propaganda coup to have their phony 'unions' accepted around the world as 'true representatives of the workers,'" the AFT brochure read. "When the NEA establishes ties with these groups and agrees to have official exchanges with them, it plays right into the propaganda maneuvers of these totalitarian governments.

Barack Obama is not a learned man, but it’s a mistake to confuse that with stupidity. He is, in fact, an extremely clever man. Combine that cleverness with the fact that he truly dislikes Israel and has aligned himself with those countries and groups that wish to destroy the country, complete with the genocide of all of its inhabitants, and you end up with someone who covertly signals to Israel’s enemies his ideological allegiance with them, even while seemingly treading a morally meaningless line right down the middle. Those of us who have paid close attention to Obama over the years know that he dislikes Jews and Israel. Here

London has become ground zero for some of the most disturbing pro-Hamas demonstrations in the world following the attacks on October 7th in Israel, and things just got a lot more chilling. As RedState reported, tens of thousands have marched through the streets, some shouting antisemitic slogans and declaring support for "intifada." The mobs have also taken over various British monuments, desecrating and damaging them. In light of that, counter-protestors showed up on Saturday to ask people to respect British heritage. Instead of being allowed to march down the street as the pro-Hamas protesters have done, though, they were forced to stay behind barricades.

CHICAGO — Sophee Langerman was on her way to a bicycle safety rally in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood in June when a car turning right rolled through a red light and slammed into her bike, which she was walking off the curb and into the crosswalk. The car was moving slowly enough that Langerman escaped serious injury, but the bicycle required extensive repairs. To Langerman, it’s another argument for ending a practice that almost all U.S. cities have embraced for decades: the legal prerogative for a driver to turn right after stopping at a red light. Gaza’s genocidal war against Israel has torn the Democratic Party apart by revealing the anti-Semitic core of its dominant left wing. Axios headlines: “Biden’s 2024 team roiled by Israel-Hamas war.” Part of President Biden’s political team is in turmoil over the Israel-Hamas war, as some aides see the White House as abetting an immoral attack on Palestinians — while others believe Biden is showing “moral clarity” in protecting Israel from terrorists. … The strife within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) — which Biden is leaning on for his re-election campaign — reflects larger generational and political divisions among Democrats.
