JASPER — U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) told 1819 News on Tuesday he expects an apology from former CIA director Michael Hayden for a comment Hayden made late on Monday night suggesting Tuberville should be removed from "the human race." Former President George W. Bush appointed Hayden CIA director in 2006. Before that, he was head of head of the National Security Agency, overseeing the organization's controversial domestic wiretapping program.

The Intro gives no clue as to what they disagree about. After the U.S. Supreme Court brought the abortion issue back to the states by overturning Roe v. Wade last summer, the Pentagon decided to aid female soldiers in obtaining abortions by offering them up to three weeks of leave and transportation allowances to travel to states where abortion is legal. Tuberville, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, threatened to impede President Joe Biden's DOD nominations if the policy were implemented without congressional approval. His decision slows Biden's efforts to fill DOD positions without a formal Senate vote. Tuberville clarified earlier this year that his hold did not stop all nominees from being confirmed but rather prevented the Senate from confirming them in large swaths instead of individually.

Senator Tuberville is doing exactly what Republicans should be doing, which is wielding what power they have to thwart the Democrats. If they followed Tuberville's example en masse we would start to get the government back to where it should be.

And so another senior government official has revealed what is on their mind and if it doesn't scare the heck out of you, not just what they said but the fact that they obviously felt very comfortable saying it, you haven't been paying attention. A new dark age is closing in on us and it could well be generations before what has been set in motion plays out. Prepare as best you can and pray as if your life, and the life of Western civilization depended on it, it does!

Another example of GW Bush spitting in the eye of Republicans and Conservatives. We're learning a lot about globalist GW Bush, and it isn't good. His brother by another mother, Bill Clinton, says so much about him.

A wild crash on a California freeway was captured on video last week showing a car flip through the air after it struck a tire that popped off a pickup truck and was sent airborne. The accident happened Thursday on the Ronald Reagan Freeway in Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles. Anoop Khatra was driving behind a dark-colored Kia Soul in the left lane when her dashcam recorded the heart-pounding moment. A white pickup truck was driving in the lane adjacent to the Kia when the pickup’s front-left tire popped loose and shot out in front of the Kia, according to the video.

MONTGOMERY — The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments Friday for overturning a preliminary injunction filed against Alabama's Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act (VCAP). In April, Gov. Kay Ivey signed VCAP (SB184) into law, which prohibits doctors in the state of Alabama from performing transgender operations or prescribing cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to individuals under 19.  VCAP went into effect on May 8 but was blocked by U.S. District Judge Liles Burke a few days later..."Of course, we have a rational basis for preventing the sterilization of children; it's to prevent the sterilization of children,"...

While most men accept the surface of things, the masters of men use the surface to mean many different things for their many different ends. If you wish to understand politics, do not listen merely to the words political people say but rather inspect below the surface for the necessities such people may face. The same applies to entire nations. On the surface level, we may still have de jure freedom and democracy in America, but below the surface, the government's necessary evils have expanded to a de facto tyranny of loosely aligned interests.

Republicans went into the midterm election Tuesday hoping to take back Congress from Democrats in a "red wave." When that didn't happen, many began speculating about what led to the low performance, but U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) said the GOP has no one to blame but themselves. "For more than two decades, all across America, GOP office-holders have dismally failed to protect and promote moral values, border security, liberty and freedom, balanced budgets, family incomes, the public's interests (not special interests), free enterprise, and the like," Brooks told 1819 News.

Teachers' unions have long been controversial in the United States, especially now, as polarizing discussions about public education in America are front and center. The most prominent teachers’ union in the United States is the National Education Association (NEA). By extension, the NEA has affiliates throughout the country...."The Communist governments consider it a great propaganda coup to have their phony 'unions' accepted around the world as 'true representatives of the workers,'" the AFT brochure read. "When the NEA establishes ties with these groups and agrees to have official exchanges with them, it plays right into the propaganda maneuvers of these totalitarian governments.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing is just "the left's new way of imposing their worldview on the country," according to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. ESG is an approach to evaluating how a corporation aligns itself to social goals beyond earning a profit for its shareholders. These goals often pertain to environmental sustainability but also to advocacy for certain social movements and commitment to "diversity, equity and inclusion" (DE&I).... Other critics have called ESG investing a "wokeness report card" and compared it to China's social credit score system.

One Alabama embalmer will perform his job in silence no longer. Richard Hirschmann has been the impetus for recent disturbing pathology reports of abnormal blood clots found and removed by embalmers from the corpses they embalmed. Hirschmann claims this pattern has only emerged in his line of work since the onset of COVID-19 and the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccines. Hirschmann lives in the southeastern part of Alabama and has practiced there as a private contractor for the past 20-plus years. The embalmer said he started to notice this unusual substance in his work in the summer of 2021.

Years ago, I read a book by J.P. Moreland called, “Love Your God with All Your Mind.” It was written by an evangelical to fellow evangelicals, arguing that we were not doing a very good job of thinking biblically. I have to conclude that he was right, and I join in his call for fellow evangelicals to do the part of the Great Commandment that we may have been neglecting: loving God not just with our hearts and souls but also with our minds.

Harvard students who blamed Israel for the massacre of its citizens by Hamas had their own future thrown into doubt last night as a host of blue chip CEOs declared them unemployable. The elite university faced a massive backlash after 31 of its student societies issued a joint statement ‘holding the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence’. The Anti-Defamation League denounced the statement as ‘anti-Semitic’ and others accused the university of tolerating hate speech. But Wall Street appears even less forgiving with billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman revealing that his fellow bosses want to know who they are so ‘none of us inadvertently hire any of their members’.
