...The image of the empty altar-place, stripped clean as though by birds on a roadkill, brought my mind back to something I saw online not long after the Hamas attack on Israel. It was a young Muslim man standing frantic and desperate in Times Square, claiming that now was the time that EVERYONE must convert to the religion of Islam. “Is the West strong enough to withstand this?” I wondered.

Decades ago Richard Fernandez (Belmont Club and PJMedia) wrote about how the extremists in Philippines met and compared weapons and strategies in their attempts to take over the gov't there. The islamists had modern weapons, plenty of ammo, plans that could work. The communists had old, mismatched weapons, short on supplies and no strategy at all. Today the militant wing of the globalist/commies (Antifa, etc.) are ill-fit for battle. They might do a fair job at ruining a town's main drag but that's about it. Today's Islamists are well prepared for battle. They also melt into the civilian population at the drop of a hat.

Excellent and very short read. I think he's captured the essence of what's being done to undermine and conquer the West. Why the masses of the West have turned against their own fundamental beliefs at the time when they have delivered an economic life of unprecedented well being is quite a question. Part of the answer is a childlike belief that the existence of Western prosperity is how nature created the world without the realization that it was built by people with a very specific world view or set of beliefs, and without the realization of the underpinnings of the institutions that were required to establish it. The Dims I meet seem to be children; if you ask them where milk comes from they say the grocery store.

I wouldn't call it a vacuum. The religions of feminism, wokism and secular humanism are growing at alarming rates. The re-paganization of the West continues. As for Christianity in the former Communist country of Romania, you have to remember how terribly Christians were treated in Soviet satellite countries. As for converting to Islam, I've had the opportunity to chat with a couple hundred Muslims over the last 24 years in various online forums. Clearly, only a few of them could engage in a serious conversation. I quickly learned that their culture doesn't value debate, reason or science. And not surprisingly, not one of them could ever give me a good reason why I should covert to their religion of evil.

Several stages of insanity would have to be passed through before most people would convert to islam after they have seen it from the outside. The Left would have a much shorter path because their journey is mostly complete.

That fellow wanting everyone to convert to his pagan moon god cult is the one who needs to convert. Convert to God and Christianity.

A wild crash on a California freeway was captured on video last week showing a car flip through the air after it struck a tire that popped off a pickup truck and was sent airborne. The accident happened Thursday on the Ronald Reagan Freeway in Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles. Anoop Khatra was driving behind a dark-colored Kia Soul in the left lane when her dashcam recorded the heart-pounding moment. A white pickup truck was driving in the lane adjacent to the Kia when the pickup’s front-left tire popped loose and shot out in front of the Kia, according to the video.

MONTGOMERY — The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments Friday for overturning a preliminary injunction filed against Alabama's Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act (VCAP). In April, Gov. Kay Ivey signed VCAP (SB184) into law, which prohibits doctors in the state of Alabama from performing transgender operations or prescribing cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to individuals under 19.  VCAP went into effect on May 8 but was blocked by U.S. District Judge Liles Burke a few days later..."Of course, we have a rational basis for preventing the sterilization of children; it's to prevent the sterilization of children,"...

While most men accept the surface of things, the masters of men use the surface to mean many different things for their many different ends. If you wish to understand politics, do not listen merely to the words political people say but rather inspect below the surface for the necessities such people may face. The same applies to entire nations. On the surface level, we may still have de jure freedom and democracy in America, but below the surface, the government's necessary evils have expanded to a de facto tyranny of loosely aligned interests.

Republicans went into the midterm election Tuesday hoping to take back Congress from Democrats in a "red wave." When that didn't happen, many began speculating about what led to the low performance, but U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) said the GOP has no one to blame but themselves. "For more than two decades, all across America, GOP office-holders have dismally failed to protect and promote moral values, border security, liberty and freedom, balanced budgets, family incomes, the public's interests (not special interests), free enterprise, and the like," Brooks told 1819 News.

Teachers' unions have long been controversial in the United States, especially now, as polarizing discussions about public education in America are front and center. The most prominent teachers’ union in the United States is the National Education Association (NEA). By extension, the NEA has affiliates throughout the country...."The Communist governments consider it a great propaganda coup to have their phony 'unions' accepted around the world as 'true representatives of the workers,'" the AFT brochure read. "When the NEA establishes ties with these groups and agrees to have official exchanges with them, it plays right into the propaganda maneuvers of these totalitarian governments.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing is just "the left's new way of imposing their worldview on the country," according to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. ESG is an approach to evaluating how a corporation aligns itself to social goals beyond earning a profit for its shareholders. These goals often pertain to environmental sustainability but also to advocacy for certain social movements and commitment to "diversity, equity and inclusion" (DE&I).... Other critics have called ESG investing a "wokeness report card" and compared it to China's social credit score system.

That’s right, among individuals intending to vote for Biden in 2024, 47% think “the government should regulate or restrict the expression of views considered discriminatory or offensive.” Considered “discriminatory or offensive” by whom, exactly? Sadly, the results weren’t a whole lot different for supporters of Donald Trump, 35% of whom purport to believe the government should exercise this control. Fools, all.
