London has become ground zero for some of the most disturbing pro-Hamas demonstrations in the world following the attacks on October 7th in Israel, and things just got a lot more chilling. As RedState reported, tens of thousands have marched through the streets, some shouting antisemitic slogans and declaring support for "intifada." The mobs have also taken over various British monuments, desecrating and damaging them. In light of that, counter-protestors showed up on Saturday to ask people to respect British heritage. Instead of being allowed to march down the street as the pro-Hamas protesters have done, though, they were forced to stay behind barricades.

Israel will have “security responsibility” over the Gaza Strip for some time after its war against Hamas ends, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview aired Monday night.
How Israel intends to handle Gaza’s postwar future remains an open and burning question as Israeli forces push deeper into the enclave amid a campaign to eliminate the Hamas terror group, which has ruled the Strip for over 15 years.
“I think Israel will for an indefinite period have security responsibility,” Netanyahu told ABC News. “We’ve seen what happens when we don’t have that… security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn’t imagine.”
BERLIN – New, stricter measures to curb the high number of migrants coming to Germany were agreed by Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the 16 state governors in the early hours of Tuesday, reaching a compromise on an issue that has become a huge political problem for the government and a hot-button topic in society.
The new measures include speeding up asylum procedures, benefit restrictions for asylum seekers and more financial aid from the federal government for the states and local communities dealing with the influx.

One tidbit from the New York Times/Siena poll really stood out: the more diverse a battleground state, the worse that Biden is doing in the polls.
That’s a slap in the face to the “diversity is our strength” party. Discontent pulsates throughout the Times/Siena poll, with a majority of voters saying Mr. Biden’s policies have personally hurt them. The survey also reveals the extent to which the multiracial and multigenerational coalition that elected Mr. Biden is fraying. Demographic groups that backed Mr. Biden by landslide margins in 2020 are now far more closely contested, as two-thirds of the electorate sees the country moving in the wrong direction.

Israeli security personnel conducted counterterrorism operations in the West Bank on Monday, successfully neutralizing several terrorist targets, the IDF, Shin Bet, and Police said.

Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell (D) launched an investigation Monday into how purported images of the transgender Nashville shooter’s manifesto “could have been released.”
WSMV 4 reported O’Connell saying:
I have directed Wally Dietz, Metro’s Law Director, to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released. That investigation may involve local, state, and federal authorities. I am deeply concerned with the safety, security, and well-being of the Covenant families and all Nashvillians who are grieving.

The chaper 11 bankruptcy announcement caps a stunning downfall for the once-high-flying, SoftBank-backed venture, which was privately valued at some $47 billion at its peak.

A set of resolutions, proposed by AMA’s Resident and Fellow section, suggest the AMA should abandon its opposition to assisted suicide, adopting instead a neutral stance on the practice. The resolutions also propose changing the official language from “assisted suicide” to “medical aid in dying” (MAID) at the meeting,[Snip] These proposals, if adopted, fundamentally change the AMA’s position on assisted suicide. The story was based on a new survey in which voters in six key swing states — Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada — were asked whether they supported President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump in a 2024 matchup. The result: In five of those states, all except Wisconsin, Trump led Biden.
