Newt Gingrich wants a female speaker to
unite Republicans

Original Article

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich floated Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as the next speaker. Gingrich appeared on Fox News Sunday to provide an analysis of the Republican Party's plight in finding a new leader in the only chamber it currently holds a majority. By the time the House convenes again on Monday, it will have been 20 days without a speaker. (X Video) "I, frankly, I wish — listen, I've talked about this — I wish they had a woman candidate out of all the candidates they've got running," Gingrich said. "Somebody like Elise Stefanik or Beth Van Duyne, who had been a mayor of a city before becoming a congresswoman."

Sadly, the Matt Gaetz and company had no plan other than to have their feelings hurt because Speaker McCarthy had to ensure the government stayed open with a short-term CR. And before comments start about how they need to cut off funding, use the "power of the purse", etc... keep in mind they have been operating on a CR since the 2007 fiscal budget year (the last 2 years of Bush presidency). When you have a CR you can't change the terms of the previous budget, just add the Cost of Living and other increases. They were trying to get back to General Order (separate appropriations bills) but couldn't do it before they needed to fund the government.

A group of House Republicans is reminding President Joe Biden he does not have any authority under existing federal immigration law to bring Palestinians from Gaza to the United States via a parole pipeline. Reps. Josh Brecheen (R-OK), Andy Ogles (R-TN), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), and Clay Higgins (R-LA) have sent a letter to Biden asking him to oppose resettling Palestinians across American communities — an issue the White House has been silent on even as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) have voiced their support for such a plan.

President Joe Biden’s deputies welcomed at least one economic migrant into the United States during the last 12 months for every American newborn or high-school graduate. More than 4 million economic migrants crossed the southern border during the government’s October-to-September budget year, according to federal data released October 21.In contrast, 3.67 million Americans were born during the matching 12-month period in 2022, according to the Census Bureau. That 2022 number includes at least 400,000 births to illegal migrants. The inflow also creates vast economic competition for the 3 million American youths who graduated from schools in the 10 months up to October 2022, the bureau reported.

Obama voices his support for Israel, the safety of its people, and its right to exist, which is anathema to the legions of far-left, pro-Hamas supporters we’ve seen come out of the bushes in the past two weeks.
