A social media personality who dared police to arrest her as she gleefully incited looting and rioting in Philadelphia on Tuesday was seen crying in her mug shot after being charged with six felonies. On Wednesday, Dayjia Blackwell — known online as “Meatball” — was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, riot, conspiracy, criminal use of a communication facility and criminal mischief, the New York Post reported. The influencer was also slapped with two misdemeanor charges of receipt of stolen property and disorderly conduct, according to WTXF-TV. Blackwell’s teary-eyed mug shot was a stark contrast to her obnoxious bluster on Tuesday night, when she recorded herself encouraging and engaging in the mass looting.

The Oversight Committee began its first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Joe Biden’s alleged public corruption and bribery concerning payments from overseas interests.
“We’ve had to slide awkwardly into a House impeachment process without the benefit of the floor vote that Speaker [Kevin] McCarthy insisted was absolutely imperative and necessary when Donald Trump was impeached,” Raskin said in his opening remarks.

A longtime associate of Bill and Hillary Clinton is facing up to six years behind bars after he pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of felony theft.
Attorney Steve Bachar, touted as a “socially responsible” investor, served as the co-chair of the Clinton Global Initiative prior to his arrest in October 2021.

The United States House of Representatives has approved an additional $300 million aid for Ukraine. The decision came late Thursday night with a 311-117 vote.
The aid for Ukraine was initially part of a larger Pentagon funding bill for the fiscal year 2024.
House GOP leaders, including Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), had initially planned to hold a separate vote on the Ukraine aid. The decision to separate the aid came after Rep. The federal government warned its employees a shutdown is imminent as the House passed three out of four Republican appropriations bills late Thursday evening with about 48 hours left to go until the government runs out of money.

Barbara Lee (D., Calif.), would be the first (fully) African American to represent California in the upper chamber.
