It’s Official! The Democrats Have a
Nonwhite Voter Problem

Original Article

I have written quite a bit about the Democrats’ emerging problem with nonwhite voters (for example, here, here and here), manifest in steadily declining margins among this demographic. Well, now it’s official.......Democrats may simply have misjudged what is most important to nonwhite voters, reflecting perhaps the increasing domination of their coalition by white college graduate voters, virtually the only demographic among whom the party has been doing steadily better. The agenda of white college graduates, particularly the progressives who support the party so fervently and fuel the party’s activist base, is less coterminous with that of nonwhite voters than Democrats seem to believe.

Comments:

Maybe I should run that 23andMe through again. I seem to think like America's nonwhite voters.

That doesn't seem fair at all. It could even be seen as more than a little bit racist, to leave out the black, female college graduates who are doing an absolutely splendid job of wrecking dem. So let me just say Thank You So Much for everything you do...

BOGOTA, Aug 3 (Reuters) - Nicolas Petro, the eldest son of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, on Thursday admitted that illegal money entered his father's election campaign last year, the prosecutor handling the case said on Thursday. Nicolas Petro, 37, was arrested on Saturday in the city of Barranquilla alongside his ex-wife, Daysuris del Carmen Vasquez, who was quoted in the media in March saying that two people accused of having ties to drug trafficking gave her former spouse cash to support the president's election campaign.

The mayor of one of Ecuador’s main Pacific ports was assassinated a month ahead of presidential elections as skyrocketing crime overwhelms the authorities, making the formerly peaceful nation as violent as Mexico and Colombia. The mayor of Manta, Agustin Intriago, 38, was gunned down during a public event on Sunday, in the second deadly attack on a politician in a week. A woman also lost her life in the attack, while two of the attackers were wounded and are in custody in a hospital, according to Interior Minister Juan Zapata.

You might have noticed a media narrative taking shape the last few days about how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign has “stalled.” [...] Perhaps what we’re seeing is less about him and still less about 2024 or the upcoming GOP primary scrum, and more about what happened in 2020. Put bluntly, maybe what we’re seeing now is an early sign that what Democrats, Big Tech, and corporate media did in 2020 was inject poison into our political system, and the 2024 election cycle is going to show us just how deadly that poison is.

For a casual observer of Chile, the election result might have come as a shock. A country that just a year ago seemed to be undergoing a progressive transformation, with a tattooed, thirty-something president taking office and an expansive new Constitution apparently on the way, now seems to be lurching in the opposite direction. ... While reasons vary somewhat by country, the insatiable appetite for drugs in both traditional consumer markets like Europe and the U.S., and increasingly within the region itself, is an obvious common thread.

Kevin McCarthy came up short once again on Thursday as he lost the seventh House vote to elect a new speaker. The outcome will only increase pressure on McCarthy to end the impasse over his imperiled speakership bid, but it is unclear whether he will be able to pull it off as the situation grows increasingly dire for his future political prospects. The House is moving to hold an eighth vote.

Stephen King just published his most recent horror novel, Holly. Disappointing does not begin to describe it. Do not purchase Stephen King’s Holly if your goal is to be entertained. This book is a poisonous political diatribe from beginning to end. King, America’s premier storyteller of the past 50 years, has never hidden his left-wing political bias. But before the mess that is Holly, King kept himself in check, never making politics central to his story nor demonizing those who do not share his ideology by using fact patterns unmoored from any sort of reality. With Holly, King has jumped the shark.

The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.

What a great question going into the 2024 presidential election! It was asked over 40 years ago and led to one of the biggest landslide elections in U.S. history. As the Harvard Kennedy School summarized: In the final week of the 1980 presidential campaign between Democratic President Jimmy Carter and Republican nominee Ronald Reagan, the two candidates held their only debate. Going into the Oct. 28 event, Carter had managed to turn a dismal summer into a close race for a second term. And then, during the debate, Reagan posed what has become one of the most important campaign questions of all time:

As RedState reported, Gov. Glenn Youngkin pardoned Scott Smith, who was arrested for disorderly conduct after challenging a school board for covering up the rape of his daughter. In one of the biggest stories of 2021 and one that likely helped sweep Republicans into power in Virginia, Smith's daughter was raped in the girl's bathroom by a boy wearing a skirt. The Loudoun County school board, which had been pushing a then-new rule allowing "transgender" students to use the bathroom of their choice, sought to cover up the rape at multiple levels. Those motivations were confirmed by a grand jury report which revealed officials ignored multiple warning signs

New York's police officers will face overtime cuts - despite increased crime - as the city continues to struggle with the financial toll of the migrant crisis that has overwhelmed the Big Apple. Upwards of 110,000 migrants are littered across the New York area, with most arriving in the last 18 months from the southern border. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has warned the issue could cost taxpayers $12million and destroy the city. Jacques Jiha, the city's budget director, has told not just the police department, but fire, sanitation and corrections to drastically reduce overtime.

A somewhat unexpected twist has emerged in the JFK assassination saga, which blows a hole in a critical government narrative surrounding his death. On Saturday, 88-year-old Paul Landis gave an exclusive interview with The New York Times where he shared he shared his revelations regarding what happened November 22, 1963, in Dallas — the day JFK was allegedly assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Landis that year was a Secret Service agent assigned to First Lady Jackie Kennedy’s protective detail, as the Daily Mail notes. Landis’s revelations regarding what happened 60 years ago lay waste to one critical claim by the Warren Commission and raises questions regarding whether there was a second shooter
