As murders surge in Guayaquil, the city has moved up dramatically in international rankings of cities with the highest murder rates. In 2022, Guayaquil ranked 24 among what Insight Crime labels the “most murderous” cities. The city entered the list in 2021 at number 50, the first time an Ecuadorian city has ranked in the top 50 National Police reported 1,537 murders in Guayaquil in 2022 compared to 992 in 2021. Ecuador’s Interior Ministry blames 75% of the city’s 2022 homicides on criminal gang activity, most of it related to the transport of illegal drugs.CORRECTION*

Comments:

The root cause of violence and instability in Latin America is North Americans who use smuggled drugs. The cause of the supply chain is the buyer. This supply chain is murder-corruption-murder-corruption all the way from end to end.

How wonderful that we have thrown open our borders to allow these "criminal gangs" new territory to exploit. I wonder how much China is paying the traitors-in-our-midst to destroy our country from within?

Gangs formed by the drug cartels to transport their product. They also work in human trafficking. Our government is involved in both. Especially the human trafficking. Both are illegal. People go to jail for human trafficking. There are laws against this kind of behavior. But our government does it so it's ok. Our government is a criminal enterprise.

Cartels fattened by human smuggling make cities hell for the cities illegals leave behind. What we are seeing here is the Mexification of Ecuador, starting with the illegals' port of departure, Guayaquil.

What do all the US cities on the murder list have in common? That commonality will tell you why they are on the list. You can bet that all the foreign cities listed are very happy to send as many of their violent street gang members to the USA as possible across Biden’s “open border”. Most third world countries do not have modern data bases listing their known convicted criminals so there is no way to run foreign criminal records checks on all the millions of foreign criminals/illegal aliens who Biden and crew have been allowing to gain unlawful entry to the USA.

The House is moving to hold an eighth vote.

In May 2022, after Musk agreed to buy Twitter at $54.20 per share, he said he would reverse Twitter’s lifetime ban on former President Donald Trump if the acquisition went through. Today, Trump praised Musk for taking over Twitter. The former president previously said he would not return to the platform, but it remains to be seen if he will now that the company is run by Musk.

The world’s richest man wants the West to more seriously consider the risk of nuclear conflict and World War III breaking out over Ukraine, as Russia’s hold over Crimea—illegally annexed by Russia in 2014—is thrown into question. “If Russia is faced with the choice of losing Crimea or using battlefield nukes, they will choose the latter,” Elon Musk wrote in a tweet on Monday. He continued: “We’ve already sanctioned/cutoff Russia in every possible way, so what more do they have left to lose? If we nuke Russia back, they will nuke us and then we have WW3.”

When Dashi Ergys was shot to death in an upscale Guayaquil restaurant in January, the media provided little information about him other than that he was Albanian. Despite the fact that he appeared to be specially targeted, many people assumed he was a tourist who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was more than a month later that a National Police commander revealed in comments during a radio interview that Ergys was under investigation for drug trafficking and that he was probably part of an Albanian mafia operating in Guayaquil, Manta and Esmeraldas, involved in shipping illegal drugs to Europe.

We’ve all just been served with a shining example of how reflexive moderation – which is good when estimating measurements for recipes, or having drinks at a work party – becomes the tendency of a political fool. The wellbeing of countless Americans has long been sacrificed on the altar of moderation by the Democratic party, and all the Democrats win for it is maximal disgust.

The 'migrant' shot dead by an Arizona rancher on his land last month was likely a cartel drug smuggler or scout, according to a former Border Patrol chief, who says the area is known for 'violence'.  George Alan Kelly, 73, was arrested on charges of first degree murder for shooting Gabriel Cuen-Butimea on January 30 at his home. That charge has now been downgraded to a second degree murder charge.  He denies the murder, insisting he only ever fired warning shots when he saw what he perceived to be a gang of cartel smugglers on his land.   Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott, who was previously a supervisor in the area,
