Zelensky Says He Won’t Hold Elections
Unless U.S. and EU Pay for Them

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded that taxpayers in the United States and European Union send the country even more aid if the West wishes for elections to be held next year. In an interview published by the president’s office on Sunday evening, Zelensky said that he would be willing to hold elections despite the ongoing martial law amid the war with Russia, so long as the U.S. and EU bankroll the voting process. The Ukrainian leader said that elections during peacetime typically cost around 5 billion hryvnia ($135 million) but did not speculate as to how much more they would cost during a war, though presumably it would be much higher.

Anyone else get the feeling that the corruption in Ukraine aided and abetted by many American politicians was about to blow up in their faces so what do they do? Provoke a war with Russia. Remember how Joe was poking the Russian bear a few years ago? Seemed like an odd thing to do for a responsible leader to actually try and incite war, but Joe got his way. War has broken out, the country is devastated, massive numbers of lives have been lost, families are scattered to the four winds, and the corruption scandal so far stills has the lid tightly on it. We are funneling billions into Ukraine without any oversight. Apparently the rewards are great when you become financiers of genocide. Zelensky is rolling in the dough and who knows how much American politicians and corporations are taking in. This whole situation is an abomination and goes to show the complete depravity of man. Seems to me that in the midst of a war is a very strange time to have an election. It would be impossible to execute with any reliability. Zelensky must need another mansion or the wife wants another trip to Paris. Ukraine is all about the money and the thieves there and in the US are profiting from the suffering. It doesn’t get much worse than this.

Here it is: the biggest missed story of this century is the incredible dumbing down of the American public, to the point where a cripplingly large portion of the adult population is no longer willing or able to exercise independent critical thinking in order to take decisive action on a wide range of issues that shape the direction of our economy, culture, and personal freedoms. Indeed, too lazy and unmotivated to analyze readily available, credible data, far too many people have ceded their personal independence to government dictates — dictates clearly designed to increase government control over the population, rather than having been put in place for

New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking an immediate partial summary judgment in her multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, court documents show. Documents dated Aug. 30 show Ms. James urged Judge Arthur Engoron to issue a summary judgment on one of seven claims in her 200-page civil lawsuit filed against President Trump, the Trump Organization, and three of his adult children in 2022, alleging "years of financial fraud to obtain a host of economic benefits."

Mitch McConnell, 81, carried on with his Wednesday evening plans with fellow Republican Sen. Jim Banks just hours after freezing up in public for the second time in the matter of a month. The episodes come amid growing concern over McConnell's health following multiple falls in recent years – including one that led to a concussion and broken ribs. I believe he's now self-hosting a podcast no one listens to after getting fired from whatever his last media job was. Given Olbermann's wealth of time in his old age, being an unmarried, childless scold, he decided to attack Riley Gaines for no legitimate reason whatsoever. Univision’s Ilia Calderón, who will co-moderate the second Republican presidential debate, is a staunch critic of former President Donald Trump, having accused him of empowering white supremacists and “racist” rhetoric in the past. Fox News and Univision announced that Calderón, along with Fox News’s Dana Perino and Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney, will moderate the September 27 debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. Calderón, who co-moderated the last Democrat presidential debate in 2020 between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and President Joe Biden, has railed against Trump on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, over the years.

Our world in 2023 is filled with different cultures, and we are familiar with the individuals from these diverse nations. This is a wonderful connection and one of the reasons I loved growing up in Manhattan and being exposed to so many people from other countries. As a woman of color who had grown up in the 1950s, my exposure to what constituted American culture was exclusively White although at the time it wasn’t labeled as such. It also made no difference to me that the idea of diversity in culture was even necessary.
