Episcopal Church Shuts Down Its Migration
Ministries Over Trump Resettling White
South Africans

Remember Episcopal Bishop Marian Edgar Budde? On January 21, as presiding bishop for the National Cathedral's "Service of Prayer for the Nation," Budde decided to use a supposedly ecumenical and unifying prayer event to browbeat President Donald Trump and make her case for illegal immigrants and the LGBTQ-all-the-letters tribe. (Snip) We have not heard from Bishop Budde of late, but her denomination has let it be known that their vestments are in a wad. Why, you might ask? Because Trump has declared that white South African farmers, who are being murdered, persecuted, and having their lands confiscated, can now be resettled into the United States as refugees.

Comments:

WOW!! Not very biblical, if you ask me!! What a bunch of hypocrites!!

Sooooooo...... the Episcopal Church hates white people? They are withdrawing from the program because re-settleing 50 white people was a bridge too far. The Episcopal Church is Catholic Zero for people with no religious convictions. The whole religion came about so that a fat king could divorce or kill off his wives.

White South Africans are being continually murdered so as to steal the farm lands that they have worked and have been in their families for many generations. The other tragedy is that when the South African Government steals the land, they don't know how to work it, and the general population faces increasing food shortages as a result. I feel tremendous sympathy for these refugees. If we don't take them in immediately, they will be killed. And shame on the Episcopal Church. Shame, Shame, Shame.

These Episcopal "ministers" should be forced to take a pilgrimage to present-day South Africa and look at how historical apartheid has been reversed, with whites now living in shocking poverty in shanty towns and blacks living in relative comfort. Episcopalians who follow these two "leaders" should be disgusted and ashamed. Were I one of them, I'd be seeking salvation from another religious order...

From the article: "Because of this move by the Trump administration to welcome 49 white South African families to America as refugees, the Episcopal Church has chosen to shutter its 40-year-long Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM). It seems that white South Africans do not fit the definition of those needing help fleeing "persecution in their own lands, to find compassion and welcome here." They only like their particular kind

Am I supposed to care that they shut this program down? The Episcopal Church here has been sort of a go-to church for people who weren't comfortable with traditional churches who at least, used the Bible commandments and other do-nots contained in it. Fine, if you like a church that is more a Sunday gathering than a religious experience. Not for me plus the church leans so far to the left now that it doesn't entice me to even attend or even less consider joining.

The obvious bigotry aside here, the article notes that the EMM admits it received $50 million to relocate 6533 refugees in 2024. That's about $7,650 per refugee, and a business-minded person might look at that and think, "Hmm... seems like of overhead on a per-person basis." So let's hope that EMM goes away permanently and isn't restarted the next time the party controlling the executive branch changes.

#16.18, bless you. After 9/11 I did a deep study (albeit with secondary sources) of Islam and was gobsmacked at how it constantly intersected with Western civilization and always in a hideous way. The Crusades, The Inquisition, Vlad the Impaler, the so-called Dark Ages were all results of vicious Muslim aggression. Winston Marshall recently interviewed Raymond Ibrahim, an American Christian of Egyptian heritage who studied Medieval history and Islam at CSUF under the tutelage of Victor Hanson and earned a PhD at Georgetown. If you have YouTube it’s worth an hour of time. Even Columbus’ voyage was taken to avoid Muslims on any eastern route to the Orient for spices.

This is not really about refugees, South Africans or whites. It goes to the root of the culture of victimhood. The basic position that in today's society racism can be committed only by whites. #25, yes, Columbus was seeking a way to come behind the muslims during the crusades to show Christians a way to attack their rear. The first war the new US fought was against islam in northern Africa and the reason Jefferson started our Navy and Marines. Islam had invaded Spain successfully and was going to invade France too until they ran into Charles 'the hammer' Martel at the battle of Tours. They also tried to invade Europe thru the siege of Vienna and finally lost. Those battles were the cut off for the 7th Beast in the Bible and the newly formed 8th beast has now come to existence. watch Turkey. Erdogan is the sob that is in charge of islam now and will gather Iran and others to invade Israel in the near future (Gog Magog war that coming) and will bring His Return. Come quicky, Jesus. The world belongs to satans religion until then.

Nearly two dozen Tren de Aragua gangbangers in an ICE detention center in Texas have barricaded themselves and threatened to take hostages in a major uprising — days after migrants spelled out “SOS” in the prison yard. Members of the Venezuelan gang threatened to hold ICE officers captive and injure them on April 26 as they barricaded the doors of their unit with their cots, covered surveillance cameras, blocked windows, and flooded the unit by clogging the toilets, according to the Department of Homeland Security. The takeover attempt lasted “several hours,” with the detainees ignoring the orders of ICE agents.

So-called “influencers” are being accused of threatening the white African refugees in social media posts that are going viral for all the wrong reasons. Apparently, it’s cool to be xenophobic again as long as the people fleeing oppression are white. At least, that’s what one might glean from the videos that have been coming out since President Donald Trump made it his administration’s priority to “promote the resettlement of Afrikaner refugees escaping government-sponsored race-based discrimination, including racially discriminatory property confiscation.” But America may not be any safer than the violence they are fleeing if these people have their way. The vote comes as Hogg is reportedly planning to “spend up to $20 million” to fund “primary campaigns against incumbent Democrats.” Per the outlet, the decision from the credentials committee came after “three hours of internal debate and one tie vote,”

Restaurants on Lower Broadway have shut down due to fears of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s presence in Nashville. Fox 17 reported that at least two restaurants closed last weekend due to the rumored presence of law enforcement. “It’s just creating this general sense of fear all the time,” said a manager to Fox 17. “There were rumors flying around about ICE being on Lower Broadway. It was credible enough that we had to close the restaurant because back-of-house staff had to leave. Everyone split.”

Democrat Rep. Shiri Thanedar (MI) has introduced a resolution to force a chamber-wide impeachment vote against President Trump. Thanedar introduced “his impeachment resolution as privileged on Tuesday afternoon, meaning leaders have two days of the House in session to take up the legislation,” per Fox News. No House Republicans have signaled support for the measure, and leaders could potentially keep lawmakers from voting on impeachment at all. When deeming his resolution privileged, Thanedar said the president “has unlawfully conducted himself, bringing shame to the presidency and the people of the United States,” while calling the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) a “flagrantly unconstitutional creation.” Democrats have not backed the impeachment resolution,

The Episcopal Church’s migration service said it will refuse the Trump administration's request to help resettle dozens of White South Africans granted refugee status by the federal government. In a statement, Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe said the Episcopal Migration Ministries will instead terminate its partnership with the government. The announcement came shortly before 59 South Africans arrived in the United States. "In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step," Rowe said of the government's request that the church help resettle the South African citizens.

In his latest proposal to end the war in Ukraine, former President Donald Trump reportedly offered Vladimir Putin a dangerous concession: de jure recognition of Russia’s annexation of Crimea. The proposal appears to accept the idea that Crimea was once part of Russia and that returning it to Russia would restore historical justice. This logic is not just politically reckless, it is historically and legally indefensible. It echoes the imperial narrative Putin himself has long advanced: that modern Russia is the rightful heir to the entire Russian Empire[snip] Crimea was never part of Russia, and the Russian Federation is not a successor to the entire Russian Empire.

I wish I could locate the Twitter wit who said, during the Biden administration, that "Pete Buttigieg is so bad at being Secretary of Transportation that people actually know the name of the Secretary of Transportation." (Snip) Nothing seems to stand in the way of the unaccomplished former Indiana mayor taking another stab at his party's presidential nomination — and he's so serious about rebranding himself that he's even grown a beard. The beard jokes write themselves, but I'm not here to take cheap shots at Buttigieg; I'm here to take high-class, data-rich cheap shots. Join me, won't you?

The case of around 50 white Afrikaner refugees from South Africa has turned the political discourse upside down. After years of never finding a migrant they didn't approve of, Democrats and their press allies are suddenly greatly offended that President Donald Trump would dare grant asylum to a statistically insignificant number of people. On CNN, former Obama campaign official and current analyst Ashley Allison went on a racist rant, proclaiming they should go back to "Germany" if they don't like the "law of the land" of being persecuted financially and physically. Notably, Afrikaners, who migrated to South Africa some 400 years ago, aren't from Germany,

David Hogg, who emerged as a gun control advocate and political activist after he survived the horrible 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida, has shaken up the Democrat party and caused intense navel-gazing and infighting among the ranks. You see, after the 25-year-old was voted in as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, he continued to agitate and raise money for party candidates who were challenging Dem incumbents—in effect, going directly against the DNC’s core mission. Now some want him gone, and on Monday night, they took action [snip] Hogg isn’t taking it well
