Urban progressives blast the unsafe cities

The capital of the most powerful and prosperous country to ever grace Earth is an unpleasant — even unlivable — place to call home. Over the past decade, Washington, DC, has transformed from a beautiful, bustling and vibrant metropolis into a city that often feels like a ripoff of Batman’s Gotham.Between 2013 and 2019, DC recorded between 104 and 166 homicides per year. In the three full years since, it’s recorded 198, 223 and 203 murders. This year, it’s on pace to bear witness to 256. All this has been accompanied by skyrocketing crime rates across the board.

Be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it. s/o Now I want one of them to say the quiet part out loud. 95% of the criminals are black. LOL #1. I misread it the first time as "Kamala is a *itch" and wondered why her name was mentioned. Then I re-read it correctly. Either reading, correct or not, is true.

Check the picture. Specifically the b.g. woman in the blue hijab— right, that’s a traditional Muslim woman from a Muslim family— or just another misguided soul wardrobed in the latest costume demonstrating hatred of white Christians? A culture failed by LBJ and every other Democrat crook that’s come afterwards. Illiterate, publicly and sexually violent, proudly criminal, and mislead by their own leaders, “clergymen,” making a career out of their peoples’ misery.

The underlying problem is what Urban Liberals want is a fantasyland. They want a little bit of grit and seediness to distinguish themselves from well-manicured suburbs. They refuse to condemn the rampant deleterious behaviors in the city because 'those people' are needed to maintain their political stranglehold.

Maybe #3 is being snarky or ironic here. Anyway, if you remember the tv series set in NYC, "Kojak", you will see how depressingly rampant crime was in the city in the 70s into the 80s. It also helps you to realize how Mayor Rudy Giuliani's policies transformed the city into "the safest large city in the world" at one point, and of course during the aftermath of 9/11/01. Bloombloom continued most of these policies, but his liberal core began to show. It is a sad thing, because so many citizens suffer as a consequence of mollycoddling criminals, and leaving to neglect people who ought to be institutionalized because they CAN NOT manage life without strict supervision or confinement. Adding to the chaos and decay is another leftist poison injected into the "sanctuary" communities: the onslaught of illegal aliens. Let's Go Brandon... So right now, there is in Dem/Left-run cities, a confluence of liberalism and leftism, and the product is a hideous cacophony of crime, hopelessness, filth, as those who are able have begun to flee. (PLEASE don't come here!!!)

Connect the dots. All dangerous cities are run by the same people from the same party destroying our once great country. Look at all countries around the world that have become dangerous places to live. Same people, same problems. The elephant in the room and everybody ignores it.

My fellow Blacks that are democrat still wonder why I've never voted for anyone from their party. I tell them before or after I'm called an Uncle Tom is because their party has not only provided solutions that would help Blacks. Instead, they do nothing but put forth polices that don't make sense (defunding the police) and then blame others (usually White Conservatives) when those policies fail. And they wonder why in cities like DC, Baltimore, Chicago, NYC, San Francisco and Detroit there's high crime, violence and death. Urban progressivism is not working and never will. Too bad the people in charge and those who vote for them can't or won't see that.

Fani Willis, the district attorney in Fulton County, Ga, charged former President Donald Trump and 18 colleagues with racketeering under Georgia's RICO law. The charge is that he conspired with them to overturn the 2020 Georgia presidential election results. Experienced lawyers, such as those at Bochetto & Lentz, a law firm that says it specializes in "messy, complicated, high-pressure, and high-stakes cases," highlight the benefits of using RICO statutes, which enable prosecutors to tie numerous crimes into one case, even if they have covered an extensive period. The person who didn't "pull the trigger, set a fire, or commit a burglary" can be charged under RICO laws.

President Biden and former President Donald Trump are now in a legal death match, where, for either one to stay out of prison, his opponent will probably go to prison. The Biden Democrats have made no secret that they are willing to do almost anything to put Mr. Trump behind bars. The necessity of locking up Mr. Trump for Mr. Biden and his family to remain free has become even more acute given the added evidence of wrongdoing by the Biden family. Mr. Biden has to be reelected to be certain that no member of his family, including himself, is convicted of any felony with prison time or, if convicted, pardoned.

Here’s what I dream of Donald Trump saying when he stands trial on bogus charges proffered by his political opponents: “I do not recognize this court’s right to try me … I do not recognize my action as a crime.” Those are the fighting words of industrialist Hank Rearden when he was put on trial for ignoring an unjust law in Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged.” Although the circumstances of the cases differ, Rearden is a perfect avatar of Donald Trump, as both larger-than-life men are persecuted by the justice system for seeking to pursue their own self-interest and for refusing to surrender to government oppression.

Joe Biden has about 17 months left as an elected politician—if he is lucky. That projection guides most of the inexplicable and shameless behavior of the Department of Justice and Biden himself. View Biden as in a race against the truth. Will he be physically and mentally able to complete his term and head to retirement before his decades-long crimes of corruption catch up to him? Joe Biden’s serial yarn that he never knew anything about his son Hunter’s quid pro quo grifting with rich foreign grandees has been finally exposed as the old lie it always was. Biden’s fallback untruth—that he never got involved in Hunter’s business—proved instantly laughable

We have all heard about contempt of court and contempt of Congress. They are offenses for which one may be fined or jailed. But what about contempt of public? What’s the penalty for that? I don’t know that you will find contempt of public in the statute books. If not I offer up the phrase free and for nothing to the bureaucrats who look after such things. I think it should be added to our vocabulary if not to our code of laws. It names a grievous assault on the community. By making a travesty of the rules and institutions that undergird our social life, contempt of public

German officials in Berlin on Sunday commemorated the 62nd anniversary of the construction of the Berlin Wall. Construction on the Berlin Wall first began on August 13, 1961. Communist East Germany, formally known as the German Democratic Republic (GDR), erected the 155-kilometer-long (96-mile) barrier in order to keep its citizens from fleeing into West Berlin. The GDR's border guard monitored the wall and would shoot those trying to escape. At the Chapel of Reconciliation in Berlin, the city's State Senator for Economy, Energy and Enterprise Franziska Giffey attended a memorial service along with other German officials. Giffey and the others then laid wreaths at the wall

It’s been a week since wildfires on Maui ravaged the island and sent residents streaming into the ocean to avoid the flames. So far, Joe Biden has “no comment” about the casualties and, presumably, he has nothing to say about the massive relief efforts that are surely underway. But are they underway? According to the Wall Street Journal, “State and federal aid is trickling into the region in the wake of the deadliest U.S. wildfire event in over 100 years.” So after a full week, aid is just “trickling in” from FEMA to deal with the destruction of most of the Western part of Maui?
