Hillary Clinton breaks out into laughter

Just hours before former President Donald Trump was indicted for a fourth time in Georgia on Monday night, his former political opponent, Hillary Clinton, laughed merrily at him on MSNBC. "All over the country, people are wondering what Hillary Rodham Clinton is thinking watching things unfold in Georgia," MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said Monday to laughs from Clinton. "Oh, I can’t believe this," Clinton said, again breaking out into laughter. "Honestly, I didn’t think that it would be under these circumstances. Yet another set of indictments."

Lol. Wasn’t wondering at all. Actually President Clinton was the last democrat for whom I ever will vote. Only afterwards we saw how debased he was. And Secretary Clinton is far worse— seemingly— in her personal and public corruption. Their genius consists in seeing the American culture for what it is: civics-, politics-, and history-illiterate, easily duped by superficial sound and pictures, and unable to engage in critical thinking; to holding two opposing ideas in mind simultaneously and therefore lacking discernment. Yeat’s stanzas, “The best lack all conviction, while the worst/Are full of passionate intensity,” deliver the neo-Marxist color of the Democrat party, valuing shine above substance; boxers or briefs, and ultimately the Obamas. Hillary is confident the character of the water she’s swimming in won’t change before she’s dead, and she has no redress to fear. The same applies to all the self-righteous liberal intellectual mandate. They’ve almost strangled to death the culture.

Stepping back a few paces and putting on my analytical hat I see: a pear-shaped old woman with a pretty face and good cheekbone structure. She is a bit dowdy but with obvious intelligence and she speaks with the same Midwestern twang as most people from the Great Lakes region, her words punctuated at times by an overly loud grating hyena-like laugh. Her air is that of a condescending schoolmarm with an inexplicable amount of self-regard. Everyone but her, it seems, understands that her station in life has not been earned but simply acquired by marriage. She is not compelling, particularly talented, likable or charismatic but assumes authority and is merely tolerated by all but the weak who flock to her. She has the manner of a church scold at a potluck telling everyone else where to place their casseroles and whether the dishes they prepared look acceptable. She directs - people roll their eyes and softly snicker. She makes demands and no one moves too smartly and then…..that cackle, like fingernails on a chalkboard. People bristle and then shudder. This woman is not a leader. She displays no genuine honor or selflessness, no proof of a willingness to put herself last or to make any degree of sacrifice for others. She doesn’t make sure her guests have enough food before she starts eating. As for other people, they know instinctively that she lacks wisdom and loyalty and will use them and abuse them for her own ends. What I see is just a bossy entitled bitter old woman who could use a whole lot of humility and self-awareness. We all know the type.

The processing of former President Donald Trump in the Fulton County jail followed a familiar pattern. First came the mugshot, then the merchandise. Both the left and the right immediately started selling mugs and t-shirts featuring the scowling image of Inmate P01135809. Snap, scowl, sell and spin. Our legal and political dialogue has now been reduced to the substance of a Benetton catalogue. Politicians and pundits continue to assure the public that this indictment is not just the criminalization of political speech or election challenges.

Robert L. Peters is a man with many names. "Celtic." "The Big Guy." According to congressional investigators, most citizens know him as "President Joe Biden." Aliases are tricky things. They are sometimes innocent or essential like the code name that the Secret Service gives you as part of your protection like "Celtic." Then there are nicknames that are preferred to your given name. Take "The Big Lebowski." He did not like being called Mr. Lebowski and preferred "Dude" but he was flexible: "I’m The Dude. So, that’s what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or, uh, Duder, or, you know, El Duderino.
Why the House Has No Alternative to an

When Congress returns next month, it has little alternative but to launch a long-discussed impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. For House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), the case for an inquiry came from a most unlikely source: Attorney General Merrick Garland. The debacle in the Hunter Biden investigation has left most objective legal analysts in disbelief, with one CNN analyst calling it an "unholy mess." Even before the collapse of a widely condemned "sweetheart deal" with Hunter, the investigation headed by U.S. Attorney David Weiss was a growing concern for many observers.

Joe Biden in one of his now accustomed angry “get off my grass” moods dared the press to find just one of his policies/objectives that has not worked. Silence followed. Perhaps it was polite to say nothing, given even the media knows almost every enacted Biden policy has failed. Here is a summation of what he should instead apologize for. Biden in late summer 2021 sought a 20th anniversary celebration of 9/11 and the 2001 subsequent invasion of Afghanistan. He wished to be the landmark president that yanked everyone out of Afghanistan after 20 years in country. But the result was the greatest military humiliation of the United States since

The popularity of urban legends is a testament to the will to believe. The desire of people to keep Elvis alive or prove that a Sasquatch could exist furtively in our backyards shows the resilience of fables. Constitutional urban legends often have an even more immediate appeal and tend to arise out of the desperation of divided times. One of the most popular today is that former President Donald Trump can be barred from office, even if he is not convicted in any of the four indictments he faces, under a long-dormant clause of the 14th Amendment.

The advent of a new presidential campaign season brings with it the usual political- and media-class sentiment: no one wants to go back (to whatever one thinks there is to go back to), everyone wants to move forward. The conceit of progress that has gripped the American psyche for well over a century always demands the next click in the ratchet. It is the sort of perennial existential discontent, questing for the next thing, that is superb for, say, settling a frontier. It is much less salutary when the "next thing" is a new frontier in state power or societal overthrow.

Francis’ comments were an acknowledgment of the divisions in the U.S. Catholic Church, which has been split between progressives and conservatives who long found support in the doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI, particularly on issues of abortion and same-sex marriage. Many conservatives have blasted Francis’ emphasis instead on social justice issues such as the environment and the poor, while also branding as heretical his opening to letting divorced and civilly remarried
