The judge set to oversee former President Trump's latest criminal case is known for her sentencing of January 6 rioters and worked at a law firm associated with Hunter Biden.
DC federal Judge Tanya Chutkan, who was picked to oversee Trump's criminal case in the capital was declared 'the toughest punisher' of rioters charged with offenses relating to the 2021 riot.
In a profile by the Associated Press, written last year, they said: 'Chutkan has handed out tougher sentences than the [Justice Department] was seeking in seven cases,

He doesn’t stand a chance here. Get the appeal briefs and prepare for that now to save time and money.

Demand change of venue and the judge step aside due to blatant conflict of interest. We are now in banana republic land

A judge who hates conservatives will oversee the Trump trial. What an amazing coincidence!

#6 is right. She should recuse herself. But more than that, WE should be out there demanding that she recuse herself. And that's the big problem with conservatives: We don't act. We just complain to each other. Think what the left would be doing if the situation were reversed. Every single Democrat (whether in full agreement or not) would be elbowing each other out of the way in order to step up to the mic and demand recusal. And we'd have endless "interviews" with "average" voters clamoring that she step away.
But not us. Nope. Crickets.

The media keep referring to the Jan. 6 melee as a riot or insurrection even though the protestors were invited into the capitol by the police and were largely peaceful. President Trump said nothing that can be construed as encouraging riotous behavior. The media hacks are the whores of the "deep state".

Every day the Civil War makes more sense. Split the country in pieces and move on.
It is hard to imagine how much longer we can continue as a nation. There is hate and madness dripping from every pore. I will try to paraphrase what a wise man said - " a nation divided among itself cannot stand". If there were "good old days", they are long gone.

How long will American patriots put up with this use of our Judicial system by a political party to dispose of their opposition.
This is in your face tyranny using our courts against us.

Another angry, bitter black female who is very successful - go figure. BTW - Judge, you probably live in DC and your US Attorney (Michael Graves) for DC is spending most of his time, his staff time and our tax dollars going after J6 attendees while ignoring the violent crime taking place in DC.

Well that selected Judge, nominated by Obama, and originally from Jamaica, is a liberal Democrat who contributed to the Obama-Biden political campaigns, or Obama would never have nominated her to be a federal judge, that’s just common sense. That judge who will hold a Trump trial in DC, where about 93% of the probable jurors will also be liberal Democrat supporters. Apparently that judge used to be employed at the same DC Democrat law firm as Hunter Biden. So what would make any American to believe that in such highly politically based liberal Democrat politically grounded law fare case brought by the Biden Department of Justice that Trump could not get a fair trial?

She’s irrelevant and so is any DC brain dead jury. If Trump is found guilty this will be fast tracked to the Supreme Court where it will suffer a glorious, humiliating death. Totally unconstitutional.

If you look at Tonya Chutkin's Wiki Bio, be aware that a significant
case that she handled has now been erased. That was the case involving three
Pakistani brothers hired by Debbie Wasserman Schulze as IT workers.
They were accused of theft of funds and transfer of sensitive files.
Imran, Jamal, and Abid Awan were found not guilty by Judge Chutkin..
That case has now been erased from the wiki bio.

Trump asked the question, why now?
Well, I'm suspecting they are looking at the court calendar and determining who is most likely to end up "catching" the case that will favor the prosecution.

I've watched a number of Senate hearings where Biden-nominated federal judge candidates are routinely torn to shreds by Republican Senators, especially Sen. Kennedy. It's terrifying to observe how viciously partisan, ignorant and unqualified most of them are, especially the "nominees of color" (sorry, not sorry.)
Not saying that this judge is of that caliber, but I know which way I'd bet if I had to.
