Austin, Texas — Liberal policies have led to a shocking explosion in homeless camps across the state capital, with around 10,000 people living in 168 different areas that have popped up across the city, sources tell The Post. The illegal camps have been visited and mapped by local filmmaker Jaime Hammonds and show how out of control Austin’s homeless crisis has become. His map reveals the clandestine encampments have spread to a far greater extent than many taxpaying residents had previously realized — dotting the entire city, including near popular tourist destinations (Snip) Hammonds warns that an even bigger public safety threat could be looming as the sites remain largely unregulated

The way to get these bums off the street is to enforce the vagrancy laws. Pardon me, sir or madam. Do you have an residential address? Do you have a job? Do you have at least $ 100 in a bank? If not, you are going to jail for vagrancy.

It is shameful that we let Texas’ state Capital get so liberal, so Democrat-run that now we give up and concede all that ground to the commies. I know, I said many times, let them stay there, let’s fence those suckers in, etc. I don’t feel that way now. We need to quit giving ground to the destroyers of our liberty, traditions and way of life. Hey #9, no, says this TX Panhandle girl. With the sprawling growth of Amarillo and Lubbock, expansions of two major universities, we are getting plenty of democrat goofballs moving here for jobs. I get your general point though!!! Lol

Years back there was an encampment in Anacostia--Washington DC of Bonus marchers. Veterans who had been rpomised money and they never got it. MacArthur and Eisenhower and the army were sent in and they ran them off and burned heir encampment. That is what is needed in every city that has these campers.

I've lived in Texas all my life, except for a military stint in Viet Nam... I can tell everyone that Austin is a SchiffT HOLE, PERIOD. I went to the Univ of Texas and constantly gave Leftist Professors Hades, they hated me, but every time one of them downgraded my work I filed immediate complaints with the Dean. I think they just wanted to get rid of me so they started giving me good grades, Go Figure... It appears they have infested Austin!

Federal agencies are secretly accumulating mountains of data that could be used for “blackmail, stalking, harassment and public shaming” of American citizens. That allegation doesn’t come from a pink-haired civil-liberties fanatic — it’s in a new report for the nation’s chief spymaster, Avril Haines. The Fourth Amendment recognized Americans’ right “to be secure . . . against unreasonable searches and seizures.” But Washington is mothballing that lofty standard for a new motto: “Those who have nothing to hide have nothing to fear.” The latest federal surveillance tsunami is being spurred by purchases of commercially available information (CAI) that private companies vacuum up from data from smartphones, computers and other digital devices and trackers.
