Fox News personalities Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, John Roberts and Piers Morgan have all come out in agreement: In their opinion, Donald Trump should absolutely participate in the first Republican presidential candidates debate of the 2024 cycle, which will be held next month in Milwaukee — and broadcast on their very own Fox News.
The former president has refused to commit to the Aug. 23 debate, and he indicated as recently as Sunday that he’s leaning against it. (“When you have a big lead, you don’t do it,” he told interviewer Maria Bartiromo.)

Fox News is starving for the ratings that they lost all by themselves. Without Donald Trump, any debate will be just a gathering of has-beens and wannabes that nobody wants to see.

Don't think "Fox News hosts" have much pull (or push ) with DJT. Fox News has blown their credibility with DJT and with the people. Like Bud Lite they forgot who their primary customers were.

Oh puleeze. Fox has blown it by dissing Trump since Jan 6, and forcing RD down our throats nonstop. Now they want the obvious top candidate to help them in the ratings for a debate that is for “also rans”?
Unlike in 2016, we know the job he can do. We know how he feels about all the topics and what he plans to do.

Won't read the article to give WAPO the click. But the answer is no, no, no. Instead, at the same time as the so-called debate Tucker should do an interview with Trump on Twitter. Let's see who wins that ratings battle.
Let FOX wither and die a slow death.

Why should he? Fox has shown itself to be just as corrupt as any of the Alphabet crowd.
What I'd like to see is an online debate run by True conservatives like Carlson, Levin, or someone like that. Schedule it for the same day and see who turns up at which debate...

Trump has zero advantage going to the debate. He is up by double digits in every poll. It is like Alabama football ranked #1 having a game with North Alabama Lions. No upside. A 64-0 outcome is expected.

Trump should hold a separate rally at the same time, and see who gets the best ratings. Trump does not need the Republican debates. Trump debates frequently at his rallies.

Both Fox and the RNC think pretty highly of their political prowess. Their animus toward Trump is flagrant. Yet, Trump is winning, and both of them are losing. Why should Trump listen to losers?

Yes to Tucker; NO!! to Fox. Tucker gets mega-million views to his videos ~ his viewership now dwarfs the numbers he received at Fox. Fox needs President Trump; he doesn't need them one little bit. I hope he decides against attending. But then again Donald Trump always marches to his own drummer.

once the questions are asked of the other candidates, Trump can answer each of them on his social media site and respond to each wrong answer by his opponents. Dont go.

Don’t do it, President Trump. Host a rally. Do something on Newsmax or with Tucker. That debate is going to be a nothing burger. Ramaswamy is going to make them all look like slow movers and I am in no way endorsing Ramaswamy, it’s just the optics that will help him. Can you imagine any of the candidates sparring with him?

Trump should expect Baker to argue with him and to call him a liar to his face, like he did in the interview he did with him. Get rid of Baier and Martha, and let Tucker moderate, otherwise Trump should not participate.

So Doochey Dilweade, Rooberts and the stuffy Brit want PDJT to give their network who for the first time in decades is getting beat by a garbage dump leftist network in MSNBC good ratings? I'm surprised Hapless Hannity is among that group. Due to past treatment by that network if I were advising PDJT I'd tell him to say in in immortal words of Florence Jean Castleberry to kiss my grits.

Without President Trump - - the debate's ratings will be below the ratings of reruns of Veronica Mars.
So of course - - the anti-Trumpers at Fox want him there.

With "friends" like Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, John Roberts and Piers Morgan, who needs enemies as they say.
These would stab President Trump in the back if they got the chance. Don't do it President Trump! It's unanimous on this thread!

Ten years back I was running against the incumbent Democrat Farmer Labor city councilman in my ward for a City Council seat. He set up a debate with me at a local college Student Senate Forum along with The League Of Liberal Women Voters. They were all primed to hit me with affordable housing and Gimme Dat Mo Free Stuff Gotcha questions from committed Bolshevik activiistas. With one day until Election Day, I realized there were a hundred houses where mostly elderly widows lived that iI had not called upon yet. Out of 2500 homes. I skipped the debate and did not show-and door knocked instead. The DFL Chairman/Incumbernt was left on the stage for an hour and a half to splutter and bloviate about my no-show. I beat the rotten lazy Communist County Democrat booger by 37 votes.' Debates' only favor the Communists. To Hell with them. Trump is shrewd.
