The Jambo traditionally has always been a transformative experience for the youths who attend it — two weeks away from their families in a tween- and teen-boy paradise, a sylvan Never Land where they can belch and play with cool, nerdy stuff and whittle and stink without having to worry about impressing girls or being nagged not to do something dangerous. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has become the target of an unscrupulous attack by left-wing radicals who apparently feel that since they can’t alter the ideological makeup of the Supreme Court by winning elections, they’ll do it the old-fashioned way.

The gunman who allegedly killed a Tennessee surgeon in an examination room yesterday was identified Wednesday morning as Larry Pickens by the Collierville Police Department. Pickens, 29, of Memphis, has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the targeted attack on Dr. Benjamin Mauck at the Campbell Clinic Orthopedics in Collierville, Major David Townsend wrote in a Nextdoor update. Pickens’ bail has been set at $1.2 million. His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.
