'Notorious RBG' and a Liberal Supreme

The last year has shown the power of a 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court. Conservatives had a 5-4 majority for years and were not able to overturn Roe v. Wade or get rid of affirmative action. Now, with a six-member majority, half of them appointed by former President Donald Trump, the conservative bloc on the Court has done both those things and more. Liberals are furious, they are outraged, they are depressed, they are hysterical -- they are experiencing any number of intense emotions as they realize they are helpless to stop a united conservative majority. Some are angry at Trump and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell,

Some liberals are now quietly pushing Wise Latina to step down for the same reasons. She is nearing 70 and has serious health concerns (Type 1 Diabetes). They fear Biden losing in 2024, which would leave a Republican successor naming Wise Latina's replacement.

FTA ... Now, with a six-member majority, half of them appointed by former President Donald Trump, So he did manage some swamp draining after all. Time for another swipe. If he hasn't heard it (possible) I really like the idea in the age of Zoom meetings of relocating DC departments and their upper echelons to appropriate locations. Agriculture to Bug Tussle, Kansas ... Education to Houma, Louisiana and so forth. It would create a self-cleaning swamp.

I keep hearing this is is 6-3 conservative court. It is not. It is a 2-4-3 court. It has 2 real conservatives (Alito and Thomas), 3 radical leftists (Sotomeyer, Kagan and Jackson), and three wishy washies (Roberts, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett).

I truly believe Antonin Scalia was murdered in a failed attempt to get the court to a more liberal balance. Sad for Scalia and his family, he was a great SC Justice. Just glad that the democrat's "wet works" did not give them what they thought it would.

When was the last time you read the Declaration of Independence? Was it when you were a kid? Have you ever read the whole thing? This Independence Day I’ve decided to turn the majority of my column over to the men (and yes, they were all men and all knew what a man and a woman were) who laid the groundwork for the greatest, freest nation human beings have ever seen. I do this now because the concept of that country is, and has been for years, under assault by progressive politicians and activists who wrap themselves in the protections afforded all Americans

Did you notice that humanity ended on June 21? I didn’t, either. But Greta Thunberg said it would happen, so I guess it did. On June 21, 2018, Greta tweeted: “A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.” Well, we didn’t stop using fossil fuels, so I guess humanity was wiped out. Too bad. I wanted to eat at Burger King today, but I guess there won’t be anybody there to serve me.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has become the target of an unscrupulous attack by left-wing radicals who apparently feel that since they can’t alter the ideological makeup of the Supreme Court by winning elections, they’ll do it the old-fashioned way. They’ll use smears, lies, gross exaggerations, and false and hysterical charges of wrongdoing to force conservative justices off the court. Do you think it’s a coincidence that these attacks on Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Amy Coney Barrett are occurring when a Democratic president is in office? Meanwhile, the “charges” against these justices are laughable — so much so, that CNN buried the lead in its piece detailing the charges against Alito and Barrett:

With the sweetheart deal that Hunter Biden just got from federal prosecutors, Attorney General Merrick Garland has once again confirmed that he has taken the Justice Department, which was once the envy of the world for its indefatigable commitment to equal justice for all, and turned it into a squad of legal hit men for foes of the Biden regime and a legal laundromat for the regime’s members and cronies, most notably for the alleged president’s crackhead influence-peddling son. Garland himself, however, bristles if you believe your lying eyes on this matter. On Friday he complained that charges that his Justice Department was doling out frame jobs for dissidents

At least, how else should we interpret a lot of LGBTQ activists marching about chanting, “We’re coming for your children”? Of course, this chant is similar to the sentiment expressed by our esteemed president and his ever-brilliant White House press secretary. “There is no such thing as someone else’s child,” Joe Biden asserted in April. “Our nation’s children are all our children.” Fact-check: false. And in May, White House Press Secretary and open lesbian Karine Jean-Pierre made the same creepy claim regarding parents’ objections to transgender surgeries for children: “These are our kids.

Debris from the OceanGate Expeditions’ Titan submersible was found Thursday, confirming all those aboard had perished. The Coast Guard said the array of debris on the ocean floor, found 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic, meant the craft would have suffered a “catastrophic implosion,” sometime after it had been lost one hour and 45 minutes into its dive to the wreck, 12,500 feet below the surface on Sunday. Joe Biden was again at his beach house in Delaware for more vacation over the weekend. He then left there on Monday and flew to Santa Clara County, California, to deliver remarks about climate change and the environment. He’s later scheduled to go to a campaign reception. At his climate remarks were Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (who some think may be pushing something of a shadow campaign to take over if Biden can’t continue his campaign). But the time in Delaware doesn’t seem to have rejuvenated him. What he said prompted more calls for him to step aside and for people to invoke the 25th Amendment.

One of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit is an immigrant from El Salvador who works for “Mi Vecino,” a third party voter registration organization. US District Judge Mark Walker said the election law banning non-citizens from handling voter registration forms is unconstitutional.
