During a portion of an interview set to air on Sunday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that was aired on Friday’s broadcast of FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” 2024 presidential candidate former President Donald Trump stated that “it probably was” a mistake for him to nominate Christopher Wray to be FBI Director during his term and Wray “was recommended very strongly” by 2024 GOP rival former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Host Maria Bartiromo introduced the clip of the interview by stating, “President Trump reacting to this week’s Judiciary Committee hearing with FBI Director Christopher Wray. Christie is looking worse and worse. Trump is constantly critized for his choices in subordinates but when people are recommended they should at least be a little competent and not total losers, like Mike Pence for instance, unless deliberate sabotage was in place from the beginning. How did this man achieve greatness with so many landmines in his path?

This is why I am concerned with referrals in the hiring or nominating process. Interview every person who is interested or has applied and make decisions from the interviewing process.

Why does President Trump have such a tough time admitting his mistakes? What about Fauci, Brix, Barr, his son in law Jared and Ivanka, Kelly, and on and on. There is no shame in admitting one's mistakes, indeed it would show humility and more importantly that you have learned from your mistakes and going forward will not make the same mistake again regarding who you will surround yourself with in your second term. Such a reluctance to admit his mistakes is a great failing of President Trump. By the way listening to that fat traitorous hog Christie in the first place is a mistake of the first order of magnitute.

Trump has three basic flaws. 1. He blurts out the first thing that comes to mind without thinking it thru. 2. He appears to be a horrible judge of character. Wray was one of many many bad choices. 3 He is downright vicious and unforgiving to anyone who disagrees with him or challenges him in public, no matter how slight that disagreement.

#7, Listen to yourself! When has a politician ever admitted a mistake? Do that and the media will stripped the meat off your bones. How about asking Christie why he nominated Wray? When it is your job to full hundreds of positions, you have to listen to advice. You can’t possibly know everyone and have to rely on referrals. One thing we know is that Trump is a fast learner and I doubt he will make the same mistake twice if he can avoid it, especially when it comes to referrals. He has earned a second bite at the apple and I hope he gets it because he will not be as trusting and will from day one make sure the people around him are as committed to restoring the country as he is. He knows the stakes and he knows he has one chance to pull the country back from the abyss. I believe, more than any other candidate he has the skill, determination and righteous indignation to get the job done.

Wray wasn't Trump's only terrible appointment. Sessions was a wimp and his appointment launched a 2-year Russian collusion hoax and caused the GOP to lose a Senate seat. Mattis was a war-monger. Barr was as bad as Sessions. Jerome Powell waited far too long to do anything about inflation. Milley was a disaster. And so on. He has real trouble finding people who share his values and priorities.

We wouldn’t know the depth of weakness in character & total corruption of some of these people, if not for their exposure by President Trump’s choosing them to serve our country in those positions. This exposure revealed that the choices are very limited among people in government who could withstand the intense scrutiny & investigations that Donald Trump has endured and remain standing so strong. I don’t place that blame on Trump. He apparently didn’t have much to choose from, & he isn’t responsible for their depth of corruption & lack of character. He had to take advise & choose from what was available. Who knows what would have been revealed by other choices at that time & under those circumstances? These people didn’t just betray PT, they betrayed US. They betrayed America. We couldn’t have foreseen it in many of them. Neither could DJT.

On the topic of accepting responsibility, Barack Obama destroyed a health care system that worked most of the time with a poverty level, overpriced piece of garbage that still haunts us today. He revived racial problems that had not been seen in decades, destroyed a military leadership with officers that I would not follow into the restroom and enriched himself through selfish endeavors while making the country poorer. As for Joe Biden, I can not honestly name one good person he appointed to the upper levels of government, he successfully destroyed a booming economy, opened the doors to all of the green nonsense imaginable, created an invasion of millions of foreign parasites and embarrasses us on a daily basis. #16 and other posters: Certain political appointee positions require Senate confirmation. Such as Attorney General, FBI Director, etc. Sessions was a long serving senator with a great record on immigration (and a colleague of McConnell) and seemed a logical fit for AG but the Hillary concocted Russia Collusion Horror Show got him caught up in it and Sessions was one of the first victims to it. McConnell especially, and Grassley made it very clear to Trump that if he fired Sessions, they would only support their man for AG. So you can lay a lot of the blame on McConnell if Trump wanted to get anyone confirmed by the Senate. What other President had such obstacles from his own party? As for Christie and Wray, Wray was his attorney for the George Washington Bridge scandal and he also prosecuted Jared Kushner's father so lots going on there. Jared and Ivanka were unpaid aides and actually accomplished a lot behind the scenes.

Upon winning in 2016 and starting the job in 2017 President Trump was a novice. As others have noted Jeff Sessions was a good senator who was great on the border, one of Trump's main issues. That he caved to the establishment and recused himself right off the bat couldn't have been predicted by Trump. Trump's "clear the swamp" rhetoric was concocted before anyone knew how big and poisonous the swamp actually was. Trump had to rely on those who had government experience and assumed those with that experience would guide him to the right people to put in his administration. Trump now knows that personnel is everything and relying on swamp dwellers, no matter how good they may appear, for advice is not the way to go.

So far Trump's choice in personnel has been HORRIBLE. Plus, when he DID have a good one, he didn't support them, letting RINOs and backstabbing Deep Staters talk him into letting them go. Immediate examples being General Flynn and Steve Bannon.

In these turbulent times, many Americans are thirsting to discover the roots of the founding and reclaim the essence of the idea that became the United States of America. The forgotten revolutionary raid at Stony Point, which occurred 244 years ago this week, exemplifies American courage, innovation, and grit. It typifies American DNA and our thirst for freedom and liberty. On July 15 and 16, 1779, the night was cold, and the wind lashed at the faces of the American light infantry moving through the darkness. One by one, the Continentals stepped off solid ground and plunged into waist-deep, thick, green muck.

LONDON— Russia halted an unprecedented wartime deal on Monday that allows grain to flow from Ukraine to countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia where hunger is a growing threat and high food prices have pushed more people into poverty. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced Russia would suspend the Black Sea Grain Initiative until its demands to get its own agricultural shipments to the world are met — even though the country has been shipping record amounts of wheat and its fertilizers also have been flowing. “When the part of the Black Sea deal related to Russia is implemented, Russia will immediately return to the implementation of the deal,” Peskov said.

Recently the Supreme Court put an end to Joe Biden’s efforts to give erstwhile college students almost a trillion dollars in “debt relief,” although the Biden administration is trying again. The War’s programs initially started on a modest scale but have expanded almost parabolically since. By the War’s 50th anniversary, the government had spent more than $22 trillion on various

The supporters of former President Trump are absolutely correct about one thing. If every single Republican pledged their allegiance to him and fell in line he’d win the nomination easily. But he’d also lose the general election, again. He does not receive enough support from outside the traditional Republican and MAGA base to win in 2024. Hillary Clinton beat Trump by roughly 3 million in the popular vote in 2016. While Trump indeed did win the election by taking the required 270 electoral votes, just a few thousand votes in each of the key swing states would have changed that outcome into a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.
