Tucker Carlson grilled former Vice President Mike Pence, running to become the 2024 GOP presidential nominee, over the January 6, 2021 riot at the United States Capitol, asking whether he believed it was an “insurrection,” as the establishment media has repeatedly claimed.
During a GOP presidential candidate summit hosted by Carlson, Blaze Media, and the Heritage Foundation, among others, Carlson asked Pence his thoughts on the riot that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, just as Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election.
A part of the exchange went as follows:

The critical question he needs to answer is this. Even though the Constitution gave you plenary powers over the joint session why did you yield control and decision making to Speaker Pelosi?

Pence is scum.
I have no sympathy left for him. I'm sure, if he bothered, he would see the videos, that the police, and certain specific embedded organizers (who then vanished behind police lines) instigated the riots. But that's not the narrative. We're police harmed? Yes. But I know, that if I'm minding my own business and a guy in a uniform opens up on me with chemicals and rubber bullets, I'm going to retaliate.
Pence is trash and scum.

And flash bangs. I know I’d freak out if a flash bang were fired at me, and I’d figure I was being shot at. What is the appropriate way to react? They — so-called law enforcement — knew exactly what they were doing.

Pence is not a smart man, and is incapable of admitting mistakes. The brain density is appalling. The only thing Pence can say is his support is not diminishing, because he has none.

I believe Pence is a man who was caught up in an incident he did not have the courage to control.
Not that he is a coward, but that he did not have the balls when they were needed.

Tucker Carlson: "Where's the concern for the United States in that?"
Pence: "It's not my concern."
Wow. Pence may not realize it, but his political career is over now. Rat now.

$5, You're being too nice. I don't think Pence didn't have courage. I believe he purposefully sabotaged our election choice. He deliberately helped the left steal our election. May he go to Hades.

Talk about a non-answer calling it a tragedy. Perhaps Pence can tear up when talking about 1/6 for the sympathy vote. Just another politician that's not competent enough to govern the country.

“Pence said he supported the Justice Department’s extensive prosecutions of those who attended the January 6 riot …”
As others have alluded, he’s neither very bright (where has wealth originated?) nor does he have a lot of brain wattage.
What is his final game plan?

If you didn't think Pence was a gutless, backstabbing, weaselly worm before you read this article - - by now you surely must.

Yet another Republican that I am sick that I supported him, just like GW Bush. What a POS. Couldn't mention Ashli Babbit's name until asked. Didn't think J6 was an insurrection but has not said so publicly EVER until asked by Tucker. God, how I miss Tucker. Pence is a weak, ineffectual (unless trying to bring down Trump) sniveling politician. And God help us if he gets anywhere near the Oval, again. Certainly not as president, that ain't gonna happen. But, in a cabinet or even wash room attendant.
Trump endangered him and his family. Really? Trump gave this guy the opportunity of a lifetime. He would never have become Vice President, and in the history books, had Trump not picked him. Please, Mike, just shut up and go away to your rather elaborate home complete with large swimming pool. Yeah, another public servant living large. How did that happen?
Sorry for the rant. But, this guy and everything about him sickens me and makes me feel like a fool for ever supporting him and his ilk.

Tucker: “Every city in America has become worse over the past few years… Your concern is that Ukraine don’t have enough tanks… Where’s the concern for America in that?”
Pence: “That’s not my concern.”

Jan 6 was a calculated event. Mikey was part of the cabal that put it together, with Mitch, Nancy, Chuck, and hundreds of operators from various agencies comprising the "deep state". The certification process had to be prevented at ANY cost.
If God existed, God's hand would have descended from the sky and struck that lying s**mbag and his co-conspirators dead as doornails.
The uniparty rules this country. We don't have a say in it. Get used to that idea. Voting over the last 30 years has been nothing more than masturbation. That's why we are where we are today. I quit... No more jerking off.

Lying Weasel. He describes the overreaction of congress and the police but to define the thousands of angry unarmed people who were cheated out of their voting rights as a "riot" was completely dishonest. We all heard every word spoken by Donald Trump on that day and the one that stands out is "peaceful." You want to see a real riot, try to pull off the theft of another election in 2024. Little Mikey did not do his duty or his job but he wants us to elect him POTUS. Sorry Mikey but you turn your back on people once and you are done for life. If you were leading military troops, a good fragging would have followed your cowardice. All you had to do was refuse to certify the election until the charges of cheating were resolved. Go home.
There were so many FBI stooges in that crowd that nobody can know how much of the incitement or damage was done by them and we never will because a good portion of the available video was hidden away because it did not fit the narrative.

It wasn't even a riot let alone an insurrection. School board meetings have had more violence over the last couple of years than Jan. 6th.

Typical RINO. Wants to have it both ways. It's a riot and was Trump's fault, so he should be held to account and everyone should be prosecuted even though they were invited into the Capitol by police. But, oh yeah, the people in the summer riots should be prosecuted, too. Like that's going to happen. And there are zero pouints of comparison. Unlike the Capitol "riot," the BLM/Antifa riots resulted in extensive property damage and multiple deaths (not at the hands of the police).

He appears as a soulless robot
‘But i do believe that a day of tragedy -pause for effect - became a day of freedom! - pause for effect -“ and then preprogeammed blather about how he singlehandedly saved the nation’s institutions by his weakness.
Bleh. One of our children graduated Hillsdale in 2018 and Pence was the invited speaker. Unfortunately. The graduates were almost completely overlooked. And it seems he can only speak like some kind of a pompous ass as he did it then, and now.

There is something about this whole issue that's being kept from everyone, I suspect.
If I'm not mistaken, due to the "riots" they issued emergency powers that effectively stopped the normal process where Congress members can object to electors as had happened in most presidential elections.
Thus, Pence was not able to do what many claim was something afforded him under the Constitution, since they were operating under emergency rules.
I would suspect they are trying to keep such a process under cover out of fear it would enrage a lot of voters, even many Democrats and Independents (except those newly minted Indies who come from the extreme-left and consider themselves Progressive Independents).

When Congress reconvened, Pelosi called for an emergency vote which meant that there would be NO discussion, only a vote. Pence, who had probably been forewarned (and paid off) was off the hook because the “emergency” forced an emergency protocol. There was enough reason for Pence to suspend the vote and allowed time for an inquiry, but Pelosi threw down her wild card and Pence took the easy way out.
He is Judas Iscariot, and, like Judas, won’t be remembered kindly.
