The Biden administration on Wednesday approved the Orsted A/S’s Ocean Wind 1 project, setting the stage for installation of a massive wind farm in the waters off New Jersey while ignoring the protests of locals who will be forced to share their environment with as many as 98 turbines.
Interior Secretary Deb Haaland boasted the authorization was “another milestone in our efforts to create good-paying union jobs while combating climate change and powering our nation.”
Bloomberg reports the approval represents the third commercial-scale project of its kind in federal waters to win U.S. government backing — all under President Joe Biden.

205 windmills, EACH one 1000 feet tall with a blade span of up to 600 feet.....9 miles off shore ( the horizon is 12 miles ), their noise will be audible from the mainland, the blades, big enough to change the local weather that attracts people the the Jersey Shore , they will impact the the fish , the bird migration and the fishing industry. This will devastate ( I'm sure on purpose , south Jersey is conservative ) the local economies. The people don't want it and have been fighting against it.

This is what happens when you vote for Democrats over and over again. Democrats have an agenda, and your opinion is meaningless.

The whales and dolphins will be headed for the beach by the dozens to catch some sun. Absolutely obscene. These windmills don't belong anywhere near people or animals.

Where are the groups that protect whales etc. Those groups should be fighting this pollution but they're not. Why not? These windmills are going to cause so many deaths of whales, it'll be obscene. Windmills that size will impact the environment and not positively. These people have no forthought.

I designate the State of Delaware for the dump site for wind farm blades. Biden Blade Mountain could go to 5000 feet high.

#10, groups that allegedly protect whales, trees and desert lizards are committed leftists who while they fully support Biden, want him to go even further left in order to truly harm the US. One can only hope for two things:
A. Kevin McCarthy and the House Repubs deny funding for all green projects in the October fiscal year budget. No money, no windmills. No tax subsidies, far fewer electric vehicles.
B. We have truly honest elections in 2024 so that normalcy can return. Without a Repub president and control of the House and Senate this lunacy will continue

Now that they've killed off all the Whales and Dolphins mapping the area, they might as well kill the rest of the Jersey Shore.

And a bit further south is the Coastal Virginia Off Here Wind:
Scheduled to begin offshore construction in 2024, CVOW is a 2.6-gigawatt offshore wind energy project that will consist of 176 wind turbines located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, three offshore substations, undersea cables and new onshore transmission infrastructure to deliver emissions-free wind power to homes and businesses.
Virginia, like many states when they had Dem governors and legislatures, have signed off on these horrible "farms" and other "green" projects in the name of saving the planet while wiping out marine and bird life.

Nos. 3 and 4 is all you have to know. That being said, there are four very corrupt counties and maybe four other not so corrupt counties that come to mind, all leaning Democrat if not fully Democrat, that carry Democrats to victory in every election in NJ. We all know you get what you vote for. And if by chance a Republican gets in, chances are that he/she is a RINO 95% of the time, will go along to get along, only to be voted out in the subsequent election and replaced by a Democrat. That’s life here in NJ!

#11, let’s also designate Rehoboth Beach as the dumping ground for all of the dead whale and dolphin carcasses and limit that area to the beach in front of Xiden’s house.

Completely agree #1. This administration is not only illegitimate but it is lawless too. These awful things are a scourge. When will these things be banned for the harm they do. They are not efficient but a means to force us to comply. I abhor this administration and this green garbage is a cult of mind-numbed followers.

NJ can thank Christie for this one. After Sandy, he gave his bro-hug to Obama and gave him a helicopter tour of our beautiful pristine beaches with huge houses on the waterfront. Many were damaged but are now restored.
Obama couldn't allow that so puppet Biden and crew need to destroy the serenity that the Jersey Shore provides to millions. Screw the whales and dolphins. For Obama, this is payback to the rich for being rich.

I have said this before but until people wake up, it needs to be said, yet again. Since the “vote” has been bastardized, by COVID, fraud and Dominion, the Politicians in DC (and in this case, Trenton, don’t care about the wishes of the citizens, they represent themselves and the donors alone.

Jersey is already an eye sore. The beaches in Cape May and elsewhere are ugly, weedy, and cost horrific.
What the left has done to our country is a disgrace. Bring back the 60s, 70s, and 80s and let’s have fun again.

Our enemies can destroy these wind farm in minutes, leaving millions without power, helpless, and defenseless. Or Mother Nature can do it just as easily. Meanwhile, the narcissist Dems in the Cocaine House and their acolytes will have unlimited access to gasoline-driven generators. When Chyna forces ultimatums on us, the Dems will turn on a dime and become their enablers. Then they'll serve as our enemies' puppet governors, much as the Romans used Herod and his ilk.

Windmills and solar panels have an operational life. The windmills have 25 years of service as both the mast fatigue and even heavily lubricated the side loaded bearings wear out. The solar panels perform at optimal output when new but after a few years the output decreases by a compounded rate of 2 to 4% per year. Who is responsible for removing windmills and solar farms after their useful life? My guess is the investors will leave landowners or taxpayers with the takedown and scrapping costs after they obtained their riches. A fossil fuel power plant operational life is far beyond and these can be rebuilt.
