Biden Admin. Splashing $1.7 Billion on
Electric and Low-Emission Buses

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced Monday it is releasing some $1.7 billion in grants to fund new electric and low-emission buses across the country. The taxpayer dollars come from the 2021 infrastructure bill signed into law by President Joe Biden, AP reports, with the money going to transit projects in 46 states and territories. “Every day, millions of Americans climb aboard over 60,000 buses to get to work, to school, doctor’s appointments, everywhere they need to be,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said in a call with reporters. “These are unprecedented levels of investment when it comes to putting modern cleaner buses on the road.”

His Inflation Reduction Act is just a laundering scheme to pay off corporate donors and greenies.

Saw a story a week or so ago, an Illinois company wanted to build a 30 Truck E-Fleet, applied for power from the State/City Utility grid, who were gobsmacked by the amount of power needed to charge the 30 trucks, it was MORE than the entire city used, and nearly twice as much power usage as the Plant that Built the Trucks. They didn't have anywhere near the capacity to be able to provide that power, and if they did at the "Guaranteed Discount" from the Federal Rules, it would have bankrupted the Utility.

I was discussing my investment portfolio this morning with my primary investment advisor. We are moving out of T Rowe Price mutual fund because these morons invested heavily in Rivan, a totally BS electric vehicle maker and have lost a lot of money. We are combing my investments, looking for other idiot mutual funds which are putting money into ANY electric vehicle makers, and getting clear. P*ssing away taxpayer money on electric vehicles is corrupt and stupid. EVs are a tiny niche market....rich folks who want an around town/commuter car....only. Anyone who has to pay attention to vehicle ownership costs, which is MOST people, cannot afford a short range, slow to "refuel", ultra expensive overgrown golf cart as their only vehicle. If you own a bunch of cars....and have lots of money, you can play around with them, and they are fine for short hauls and when you can return home every day to charge them up. Travel is hopeless, and will forever remain hopeless.

"Low Emission Electric Busses". And _where_ does the source of their electricity come from? It sure ain't from them solar cells. Or windmills (who are lucky to break even on production of value vs. manufacture/install costs) Transition from fossil fuels is critical to techno societal survival in the long run. But "F" it up with politics and virtue-signaling? Our ancestors all lose. And they will (rightfully) curse us for it.

Isn't it a great feeling to know that you are working and paying taxes so others can get to where they need to be on newer and cleaner buses? Don't get too upset though, Joe gave away tens of billions to the Taliban and Zelenskyy gets his check for four to six billion every time he calls Joe for more money. The Post Office probably got more than that to finance its new electric fleet. Last I heard, infrastructure did not encompass public buses.

Biden claims he doesn't drink but his actions with our money is one of a drunken sailor throwing around money on every notion that enters that feeble mind of his. Take the check book away from him. Anyway, just buying EV buses is just the beginning. What is going to happen to our grid when all these buses come back to the garage and have to be charged at the same time, while people are home using their HVAC's, stoves and running their washing machines? etc?

Apart of its continuing effort to make our lives less convenient and pleasant President Biden represented by “climate czar” John Kerry has signed a global agreement with 12 other countries to place farmers under new restrictions to reduce emissions of methane gas, all in the name of fighting "climate change." This would effectively reduce cattle and other agricultural production, raise the cost of food, and deprive farmers (already beset with supply chain disruptions, drought and increased loan interest rates) and the communities which service them of a substantial portion of their living and lead to starvation for many.

The media and other Democrats repeatedly call Republicans fascists and dictators to intentionally mislead the public. Fascists are essentially authoritarians. Trump and other Republicans basically want to transfer power and money to the people, which is the opposite of what an authoritarian would do. Democrats are seeking to transfer as much power and money to the government, which is what fascists or dictators would do. Here are some examples: On healthcare, Democrats want to either have single payer, government-run insurance or want to dictate, as with Obamacare, exactly what must be in health care policies. Republicans want people and companies to have freedom of choice.

So many different brands lay before me: Minute Maid, Simply, Tropicana, Dole, Florida’s Natural, Sunny D—not to mention the niche organic labels. And each brand offered juices with various configurations of pulp, vitamins, and concentrate.

We’ve long been critical of Hollywood’s lack of fresh, new ideas and its apparent fascination with rebooting past films or giving us a sequel decades later. Sadly, merely paying homage to the original material is insufficient. Instead, producers opt to incorporate “wokeness,” believing it will be more appealing to modern viewers, but in the process, they end up taking something beloved and turning it into garbage that the masses don’t want to see. The latest example is Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, the prequel series to the 1978 hit film Grease. I’m not sure who wanted this — it’s bad enough to hear any of the original songs
