To say there were more reporters in attendance than fans when the Dodgers honored the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at Dodger Stadium Friday night, would not be a major exaggeration.
Sister Unity and Sister Dominia stood to represent the “Sisters” and receive their Community Heroes Award as the public address announcer made the announcement official in front of what appeared to be roughly 50 fans – at least two of which were loudly booing – and assembled media. [Tweet] Meanwhile, outside the stadium, thousands of pro-Catholic demonstrators protested and, at one point, even blocked one of the main entrances to the stadium. The protest drew the support of non-Catholics as well.

It was near empty because they snuck this salacious group in to give it its "award" BEFORE the game. They know what they have done, but unless there is significant backlash they will continue........probably even if there IS backlash. Watching the Black Rock and AARP commercials on tv constantly now---they continue to do what they do, are woke and fund Leftists with customers $, but PRETEND..........

Headline is at best misleading. The anti-Christ dodgers did the ceremony an hour before the game—so stands were empty.
We would have had a victory only if fans had NOT filled the stands for the game.

No apology should be expected. One empty stadium is worth it to the ESG 'masters' as a sign of obedience. Now if the stadium were to STAY empty, ala Target/Bud Light sales, then some chance of waking up from 'wokeness' might occur.

The box score claims Attendance was 49,074. I have heard it's fashionable to arrive a couple innings late in L.A.

Somebody should ask the Dodgers why they are honoring a hate group. There is no way this can be justified. The reason they were honored before the game was because the Dodgers were afraid the fans would trash the place in response.

I been to Dodger stadium for the ball games. I've eaten the Dodger dogs. No way do fans arrive late if they can avoid it. That stadium and its parking lot are gargantuan. Everyone arrives early if they can.

I am not much of an activist, but if I lived in a town where this group was being featured it’s an egregious enough offense that I would get out an protest. Their blasphemy outrageous and I don’t know how much longer God will permit this.

When people stop buying tickets, this nonsense will end.. or these idiots will die on their hill. I personally would not give one fig if every pro sports team in the world disappeared. It used to be the sport first and then the business. Now it's just business and to heck with the sport.

I dont
care that the headline time frame is wrong. The Dodgers NEVER should have honored these people at all. Since when do we celebrate a persons sexual preferences! Since when is a month dedicated to people who are PROUD to dance half naked in front of kids. And the stupid parents who take their babies to see this trash. But thats another story. We give ONE day to honor our Vets. One stinkin day to honor those that died fighting for freedom, and a whole month to those who defy God and nature. the left can keep their baseball and their football and their basketball. I'll stick to morality. It's more honorable and much safer!

What is even more maddening is that these decisions usually come down to one flunky activist employee. You know darned well the players don’t embrace it, nor the majority of the fans. I’d even bet management doesn’t embrace it. But, somewhere is that one person—usually a woman or a gay man—who holds the entire organization hostage. This only stops when people in positions of power have the courage to say no.

"How to make a million dollars in MLB."
First, start with $100 million dollars, then start finding every extremist, perversion, mentally deranged lunatic 'cause' you can and showcase that on your baseball field. Soon enough, you'll have your million dollars...having lost $99 million of it.

What about Bud Light do the Dodgers not understand ?
I hope Dodgers fans will find a baseball fix elsewhere that doesn't involve homosexual transvestite freaks.

So, the Dodgers are on a suicide mission along with Target and Budweiser. We have a lot of stupid people in high places.

As a lifelong (age 87) I no longer support the Minnesota Twins. The Twins are part of MLB, the Dodgers are part of MLB, the Dodgers are Anti-Catholic, MLB is Anti-Catholic, and the Twins are Anti-Catholic. No more MLB for me. How stupid are the Twins, the Dodgers, and MLB? Look at what happened to Bud Light, and Target - go woke, go the hell.

It appears that the Dodgers decided to avoid a stadium full of booers and msybe worse by having this lttle stunt well before the game was to begin. Meanwhile protesters, who had sowed up at 3 PM were blocking the stadium entrance, causing delays in filling the stands. Good.
Magic Johnson’s son is a transvestite …dresses like a woman. Surgeries doubtful. Magic may have had something to do with this..
It was a massive fail

Magc Johnson became a co-owner of the Dodgers some years ago. From a 2020 Newsweek:
The three-time NBA Finals MVP became the co-owner of the Dodgers in March 2012, purchasing the franchise as part of a group of investors including former Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals president Stan Kasten, movie executive and Golden State Warriors co-owner Peter Gruber and global investment firm Guggenheim Partners.

I am proud of the people who showed up to protest these freaks. I’m wondering if my Catholic friend is waking up to what the liberal left is doing.

MLB is going down the path of the NFL. Lots of protesting in the short term during the "take a knee" commotion, but after that, the fans came back. Boycotts only work over long periods of time.

#5, you are correct about the box score. However, MLB box scores show the number of tickets sold, not the number of people who show up for the game ("turnstile clicks", as they call it). So it's possible that a good number of people who bought tickets, such as season ticket holders, didn't show up.

It's been reported that major league teams are quietly putting away the rainbow stuff because the fans hate it so much. Seeing our Tampa Bay Rays playing against Oakland festooned in the color spectrum was offensive. Catholics, protestants, and Jews are all together on this.
