Karl Rove scorches Donald Trump for 'his
childish impulse' that led to indictment

Karl Rove criticized former President Donald Trump this week following the arraignment over his alleged mishandling of classified documents, warning that “America will pay a high price for the former president’s reckless petulance.” Rove, a former top aide to former President George W. Bush, wrote in an opinion piece published in The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday that “America has been plunged into an unprecedented crisis by the indictment of Donald Trump.” “The blame for this calamity rests solely on Mr. Trump and his childish impulse to keep mementos from his time in the Oval Office, no matter what the law says,” Rove said.

Oh, good Lord, please. We are being invaded by millions across our southern border, inflation is out of control. We are almost in WWIII with Russia, but the DOJ has time and resources to waste on the former president holding some paper? So the unprecedented, historical step is taken to indict him and our side claps a hooray?

I can’t think of words contemptible enough to describe blaming POTUS Donald Trump for the malicious, unfounded, unprecedented and unrelenting attacks against him for 7 + years. It’s particularly contemptible when considering the egregious & truly harmful things deliberately done to this country by people Rove & his ilk support & embrace as comrades. I’m ashamed that I was ever blinded by anything that came out of his mouth. But, more than that, I am heartbroken that the good that I believed about them wasn’t true.

Old "T* Blossom" is still at it. [*President Bush's nickname for Karl Rove isn't allowed here by Lucianne's language monitors. That's OK. I'll refer to Karl Rove as Mr. Blossom.] Yesterday I saw a clip from a recent Jeopardy show in which none of the contestants recognized the Lord's Prayer. It was astonishing. And yet here Mr. Blossom seems not to know the words "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime," where they came from or what they mean. Or maybe he's simply revealing his true allegiances.

By the way, this is why I am disappointed with the Republican/conservative party base. We should be uplifting and respectful of each other but we have denigrated into name calling and bashing each other. It is bad enough that the Democrats/liberals participate in the name calling and bashing of the Republican party but do we need to do to each other? Another comment to Karl Rove: how about stating a positive about every person campaigning for the presidency?

As i recall the left opinion was that rove and bush invaded iraq because of bush’s “daddy issues.” Now it’s Trump’s petulance. Rove gives no facts that show that Trump did anything any differently from any other departing president. Including bush. Since facts that clearly show Trump’s conduct to have been wrongful would be detrimental to Trump, and rove wants to blast Trump, i can only conclude rove has no such facts.

Are we supposed to believe Washington is going after Trump because of his temperament? No way. Trump upset too many apple carts and stepped on too many feet with his policies. The other thing of interest is who is coming out on behalf of our corrupt and tyrannical government on the Republican side telling us what to think. Namely Kark Rove and Bill Barr. Potato Head Karl Rove and the rest of the Bushie's including Dumbo Dana Perino hate PDJT for several reasons. The main one is because during the 2015 Republican primaries he made JEB look like the complete weak fool that he was. Does anyone think that he could've taken on the Clinton machine and won. Me neither. The really funny thing is that Rove and the BOHICA Republicans still think that their opinions matter. America’s day of reckoning has arrived. After decades of lofty sanctuary rhetoric and scandalously reckless immigration policies, we now face some big questions with no easy answers. Where are we to put the millions of new arrivals? How will we pay for them? What is the cost to our society? While Joe Biden and his team of anti-borders radicals have been busy turning our country into a make-a-wish charity for the rest of the world’s population, it seems little, if any, thought was given to where all these newcomers would reside.

One of the great ironies attendant on that loss is a revolution in sentiment among many—but by no means all—people who think of themselves as conservative. Hitherto, such people would have been staunch supporters of those institutions that, traditionally, had represented the rule of law, the continuity of our culture, etc. Nowadays, they look with a jaundiced eye upon once-respected institutions like the Department of Justice, the FBI, the CIA, and the rest of the national security/surveillance apparat. As we all now know, former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 37 counts of willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice and false statements after a special counsel investigation. However, was the president set up by the federal government? That is a possible defense that floated into a letter to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in April by Trump’s attorneys, in which they allege the National Archives and Records Administration “has become overtly political and declined to provide archival assistance to President Trump’s transition team” — the first such incidence of this to happen in 40 years.

The Pentagon revealed on Tuesday that an overestimation in the value of weapons sent to Ukraine over the past two years has resulted in an extra $6.2 billion of U.S. taxpayers’ money earmarked for the Eastern European country. This figure is approximately double what was originally estimated and allegedly will be utilized for future security packages. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh provided clarification on the nature of the error, explaining that the military services had used the replacement cost rather than the book value of equipment pulled from Pentagon stocks and sent to Ukraine.
