The Pentagon and the White House on Thursday denied reports that China is planning to build a listening post in Cuba that would allow the communist power to eavesdrop on electronic communications across the southeastern US.
Department of Defense spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder called reports of an agreement between China and Cuba to build the secret base “inaccurate.”“I can tell you based on the information that we have that that is not accurate, that we are not aware of China and Cuba developing any type of spy station,” Ryder said during a Thursday press briefing at the Pentagon.

And we're supposed to believe anything the Pentagon or the White House tells us?

China doesn't already have a spy station in Cuba? Are they building a new one?

China doesn't need to spy on the US from Cuba. They have plenty of spies here in the US. Remember the incident where Chinese nationals were surveilling a base in Florida in 2020 and more recently in Alaska..

Never believe anything until first denial from these clowns.
Since we now know it’s true, the only question are (1) “does the Big Guy get 10%?” and (2) “what is the arrangement with China for the DOJ to spy on Americans? Is it like 5 Eyes?”

The quote says the report "is not accurate". That is not a denial of the report, but rather it may be a claim that some obscure detail is in error. Perhaps the inaccuracy is due to a failure to note that somehow the spy station is going to actually be funded with aid funds from the USA or from some United Nations agency. Sometimes what seems like a denial is just an observation that some detail is in error. Who can you trust today?

The default position for Dems is deny...... and they get away with it. They know they can get away with it, especailly after the Clintons.

In 2015 the Chicoms hacked the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
frm their website:
"...OPM discovered that the background investigation records of current, former, and prospective Federal employees and contractors had been stolen. OPM and the interagency incident response team have concluded with high confidence that sensitive information, including the Social Security Numbers (SSNs) of 21.5 million individuals, was stolen from the background investigation databases. This includes 19.7 million individuals that applied for a background investigation, and 1.8 million non-applicants, primarily spouses or co-habitants of applicants. Some records also include findings from interviews conducted by background investigators and approximately 5.6 million include fingerprints. Usernames and passwords that background investigation applicants used to fill out their background investigation forms were also stolen."
