IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel told Congress the Justice Department (DOJ) made the decision to purge an IRS whistleblower from the DOJ’s probe into Hunter Biden, according to a letter sent to House Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-MO).
Werfel’s letter on May 17 responded to Smith’s May 16 inquiry about concerns that a high-ranking IRS agent faced retaliation for raising red flags about alleged political interference in the tax probe of Hunter Biden.
Werfel said the decision to remove a whistleblower from the tax investigation was at the DOJ’s direction, confirming what a second IRS whistleblower alleged Monday.

So, if this was an investigation into the son of President Trump, and he was POTUS, thus, the DOJ worked under the very Executive Branch, and this same incident happened, how do you think it would be reported?
Don't you think they'd be saying it was interfering in an on-going investigation, was obstruction of justice, and likely would be demanding impeachment, right?

So, DoJ controls the investigations by the IRS? Is that a new criminal connection?

Typical bureaucratic buck passing! I didn't do it, the DOJ made me do it! By the time all of the Congressional and IG investigations are completed, it will all be blamed on a low level clerical error by a nameless low level office clerk who will be fired from their job also. The corrupt heads of the IRS, DOJ, FBI, Hunter and Joe Biden will all walk away scot free with big government pensions and pockets full of mystery money from the scandals that were never investigated all because of a "lowly clerical error".

Since the DOJ and FBI seem to have no shame, and operate at the top of the law enforcement chain they can do no wrong, and have no shame in how corrupt their actions look. After all the MSM will lay cover, likewise the cheating Dems who are in power, since the DNC is all about unfair cronyism.

Werfel is a coward to let Garland tell him what to do in his Agency.
A real man would tell Garland to mind his own business.

The most corrupt and incompetent AG in history. Remember, Obama wanted this political hack on the Supreme Court. We will be forever thankful to Cocaine Mitch for the “save”.

The corruption is truly breathtaking. If we had an independent FBI, they'd be pursuing RICO, or something like it, as this is organized corruption, (illegal) interference with the operations of other agencies of Government.
As we are wont to say, imagine if Trump had operated in this way? Looking at the photo of Biden and Garland, what I see on Garland's face is a big f-u to the American people.
We're in a dangerous situation when people seething with hatred, vengeance and vindictiveness have the power of crooked, bought-and-paid-for justice agencies. And what they think (and most likely laugh about amongst one another) is, "What are you going to do about it, eh?"

OK Danny, who in the DOJ gave the order?
The Feds are sending a message to all future whistle blowers, you will not be protected, so keep your mouths shut.
