Bret Baier Throws Cold Water on DeSantis
Run: ‘Something Has to Change Dramatically’

Fox News’s Bret Baier assessed that the 2024 Republican primary will have to experience an earth-shaking development for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) to surpass former President Donald Trump. Baier joined America Reports to react to the news that DeSantis will officially join the 2024 presidential race in an upcoming Twitter Spaces event with Elon Musk. The Special Report anchor began with a nod to Fox contributor Karl Rove, who spoke before him about how Trump currently leads the GOP — adding things could change as the race goes on. (snip) noted the reality that Trump still “overwhelmingly” tops DeSantis in the polls.

Comments:

The last about the polls is from Baier.

My first choice is Donald Trump. If he doesn't win the Primary i will get behind whatever republican does win it. IMO DeSantis has a chance to win, lots can happen in 1 1/2 years The others --Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Christie, they haven't got much chance. What I really want is a Trump--Lake team. Both are fighters and that is what we need.

What seems to make sense to me, is that we have Trump 2024, DiSantis 2028 and 2032. Other than the Lord himself, I don't see that there is any other human being out there that can fix this country. We certainly do not need nor can use any more Rinos in our midst. All IMHO, of course!

DeSantis has the same problems all the other Republican candidates have. They all look like they can be bought by the big money interests controlling Washington. None of them have any real solutions. The main reason Trump is in the lead is he can't be bought. So much so that his enemies are persecuting him. When one looks at how much the Republican party is screwing with Trump, it's a shame there is no real alternative for Trump and his supporters. If this is the Republican party, Trump isn't a Republican and neither are his supporters.

Baier spends too much time speculating on this and giving his opinion. We have a long way to go. Many have not announced yet. And many will not last long as the money will run out. He is not a good prognosticator. He should leave them to the pundits on his show. Trump is going to be tied up in legal cases.

Brett is deep state and knows what is coming with the DC Special Counsel indictments and the plan to put Trump in jail after he wins the nomination. DeSantis will wipe the floor with Biden & Co. We can not nominate Trump because the play book for the DOJ is in place and is very transparent.

#1, I think we need to define "fighter." Some see Trump's type of retaliation as childish and personal while others see it as necessary and smart. What we should be considering carefully is how effective different personal styles are. In the context of the hopelessly biased media, Trump hasn't been able to successfully attack the media in all these years, yet he refuses to try a new method. His lashing out at opponents thrills his base, but it turns other voters off because it results in escalating drama and many are simply reality-showed out. DeSantis decided to avoid the media by trying a Twitter workaround instead. Despite the glitches, it appears there was quite a demand to listen to his announcement. One way to stop our out of control media is simply not to invite them. It'll be interesting to see how this strategy works with different demographics.

It's much too early to be picking he winners and losers, but not too early to pick those who have no feasible way of even entering the conversation.... These things can be accurately be predicted at this time" it's a two-horse race. The others who have filed or may file have absolutely NO CHANCE of making the finish line with enough delegatesto be nominated. The media will continue to do their job to undermine Mr. Trump's return with bad press, the social media giants will still NOT report anything positive about Mr. Trump or DeSantis and the legal challenges of the GET TRUMP people AT ALL COSTS regardless of his innocence, will constantly be drum beated with every minute of coverage to make him vulnerable and change people's opinion in the next year and a half. One thing is certain-- no matter how hard they go after President Trump, they cannot RUIN him financially like they have on the "whistleblowers" treatment. With all the revealations we have learned in the last couple of weeks, our agencies lean on their agents TO COVER UP THEIR OWN ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES like La Cosa Nostra! Now THERE's a story for them to hammer on.... but they are in BED in an incestous relationship with the Sociaists who are going for broke to put as many turds in the bowl as they can hoping they can ignore the limitations put on them by the Constitution and the Rule of Law which they show no fidelity to if it furthers THEIR agenda, Tacq[ya even for NoBama and the Wookie who they are getting ready to against Madam Broomstick as they shove Senator Feinstien off a clif to appoint the next wacko.. The short piece of legislation would roll back a rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for trucks in December 2022. The rule, which can be read here, “sets stronger emissions standards to further reduce air pollution, including pollutants that create ozone and particulate matter, from heavy-duty vehicles and engines starting in model year 2027,” according to the EPA.

It is clear from the Durham report and the work of House Republican hearings that the current scandals in the Biden White House – and senior bureaucracies at the Justice Department, IRS, and elsewhere – are much deeper and more cancerous than Watergate ever was. It may be hard to remember, but Watergate came about due to a weird, dumb, and fairly narrow set of criminal behaviors which mushroomed into 69 officials being indicted and 48 imprisoned. I remember Watergate vividly, because I first ran for Congress in 1974 during the Watergate scandal.
