CHICAGO — U.S. cities already struggling to shelter thousands of migrants are calling for federal help and an end to Republican political gamesmanship over immigration, concerned that an expected increase in the number of people entering the country when pandemic-era asylum restrictions end on the U.S.-Mexico border May 11 will further strain their budgets and resources. Chicago has long pledged to welcome migrants. But a tenfold increase in recent days has taxed resources. Migrants awaiting beds in city-run shelters are sleeping on floors in police stations and in airports surrounded by suitcases. They’re depending on donors for food, medicine and

The border cities are much smaller than Chicago, have many more illegals than chicago, and did not offer to be sanctuary towns

The leftist and socialist Democrat politicians who run the big cities problem with the numbers of illegal aliens showing up in their cities, is not that they don’t want the illegal aliens to stay in their cities, because they know that the illegal aliens in very high percentages fit within the minority group categories of Democrat identity politics. They also know that if the DC leftist and socialist Democrats have their way, and grant amnesty to just about all illegal aliens, that the legalized aliens would in very high percentages, eventually become leftist and socialist Democrat supporters and voters. What those big city leftist and socialist Democrat mayors and their establishments really want is for the federal government to pay for all the expenses engendered by the illegal aliens after their arrival and on into the future.

The solution is simple, Chicago: take some of those abandoned buildings of the companies you ran out of town with crime and high taxes, and turn them into shelters. But, no, they'd rather complain that they're "full up."

Think Biden administration regulators have it in for gas stoves? Just wait until you learn what they have in store for air conditioners. In fact, many homeowners are already finding out first hand. It’s all part of team Biden’s prioritization of climate change policy over the interests of consumers. Now that air conditioning season is commencing across most of America, nearly 100 million homeowners are turning on their systems for the first time since last summer, hoping they get cold air. Those that don’t will need repairs, which may require replacing refrigerant that has leaked out of the system. Unfortunately
