Nordstrom will close both of its downtown San Francisco stores in the coming months, citing the "dynamics" of the downtown market as the region continues to see a rash of retail thefts by brazen thieves. In a memo to employees, Chief Stores Officer Jamie Nordstrom said the company will not renew its lease for its San Francisco Centre Nordstrom store and the Market Street Rack store across the street. "We’ve spent more than 35 years serving customers in downtown San Francisco, building relationships with them and investing in the local community," the message said. "But as many of you know

I guess they are tired of being robbed blind. Shoplifters will be mad over the dwindling number of stores they can loot.

The puke is afraid to say that crime rampant thievery was the main cause of closing the stores.

It will be interesting to hear how the mayor spins the "changing dynamics" when there isn't a store left to loot and the Urban Outdoorsmen begin crawling up the gutters and the sides of apartment houses to steal what is no longer readily available on the store fronts. I have zero sympathy for the Cali croud. They either learn or they burn. No sleep lost here tonight on their account.

Remembering when Nordstrom on Market was a must on my occasional visits to San Francisco. That was in the 90s. I have boycotted SF since 1998, when aggressive bums in Union Square would not take no for an answer. Sad, isn't it.

Nordstrom finally got tired of being ripped off due to the ferals five finger discount I guess. Not too many of those stores left as brick and mortar. Their bargain shop called The Rack I think can be accessed online?

My great uncle lived in San Francisco and was in a hospital when the Great Earthquake of 1906 happened. He was rescued the next day. He loved San Francisco and would be sad and angry that the city he loved so much has fallen so far.

Democratic Senator John Fetterman blamed Dr. Mehmet Oz and the “vicious” 2022 campaign season for his ongoing battle with depression, RadarOnline.com has learned. In a surprising interview to come roughly one month after the 53-year-old senator was released from the hospital following a six-week stay for depression, Fetterman spoke about his lingering mental health issues to CBS News affiliate KDKA-TV. “I feel fantastic, honestly,” Fetterman told the Pittsburgh-based outlet following his first official week back in Washington. “A lot of people have asked: 'Hey, how are you feeling? Clear majorities of Americans support restrictions affecting transgender children, a Washington Post-KFF poll finds, offering political jet fuel for Republicans in statehouses and Congress who are pushing measures restricting curriculum, sports participation and medical care. Most Americans don’t believe it’s even possible to be a gender that differs from that assigned at birth. A 57 percent majority of adults said a person’s gender is determined from the start, with 43 percent saying it can differ. And some Americans have become more conservative on these questions as Republicans have seized the issue and worked to promote new restrictions. The Pew Research

One thing I've learned as an adult is that people who actually care about someone don't let them continually fail. Instead, they address that person's problems head-on, because people who care actually want you to succeed, and success often requires course correction. New York is the first state in the country to ban natural gas and other fossil fuels in most new buildings – a major win for climate advocates, but a move that could spark pushback from fossil fuel interests. Facing mounting pressure from environmental advocates and climate-minded voters, Gov. The law bans gas-powered stoves, furnaces and propane heating and effectively encourages the use of climate-friendly appliances such as heat pumps and induction stoves in most

CHICAGO — U.S. cities already struggling to shelter thousands of migrants are calling for federal help and an end to Republican political gamesmanship over immigration, concerned that an expected increase in the number of people entering the country when pandemic-era asylum restrictions end on the U.S.-Mexico border May 11 will further strain their budgets and resources. Chicago has long pledged to welcome migrants. But a tenfold increase in recent days has taxed resources. Migrants awaiting beds in city-run shelters are sleeping on floors in police stations and in airports surrounded by suitcases. They’re depending on donors for food, medicine and

Think Biden administration regulators have it in for gas stoves? Just wait until you learn what they have in store for air conditioners. In fact, many homeowners are already finding out first hand. It’s all part of team Biden’s prioritization of climate change policy over the interests of consumers. Now that air conditioning season is commencing across most of America, nearly 100 million homeowners are turning on their systems for the first time since last summer, hoping they get cold air. Those that don’t will need repairs, which may require replacing refrigerant that has leaked out of the system. Unfortunately
