AB-InBev, the corporate parent of Bud Light, is silent on the subject, but according to outside industry researchers, Bud Light’s sales collapse is “staggering” in the wake of protest over its engagement of Dylan Mulvaney as an “internet influencer.” Lisa Fickenscher writes in the New York Post:
Bud Light has suffered a “staggering” sales hit following the beer brand’s controversial marketing tie-up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney — with the latest data showing an alarming 17% drop, according to an industry research firm.
The latest sales data [snip]shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21%

Anheuser-Busch was dumb enough to hire some ugly chick who went to Harvard, and the rest is history. Get woke - go broke.
MAGA!

I would imagine that Fox News viewership will crater just like Bud Light's customer base.

The woke liberals lack of respect for anyone outside of their circle is staggering. Glad to see for once people who boycott or drop a brand making a huge difference. It is the only way to get any semblance of sanity back into corp America.

It wasn't just "Her", I saw a photo of the whole Budlight marketing team, all well under 40, 3/4 female, and the males look like they never played a sport, worked ANY kind of job or even hobby that would cause a callus...As a group they look like they have never changed a tire, wouldn't know how to use jumper cables, probably live in an urban area where they do not even need a car of their own. The females all look well 'used' while the males appear to be virginal....or gay.
Trying to establish a "New" clientele might be fine for a New Product, but...if you already HAVE the top selling product in the world? Why dump the dude that brought you to the dance just to flirt with the flower arranger or valet parking attendant...who drink wine spritzers anyway?

Even my hasn't-backed-a-conservative-cause-in-his-life brother in law actually retracted his order for a bud lite this weekend when we all ate out. He even reinforced that it was an intended retraction when he realized what he had ordered.

It is one thing to do something stupid -- lots of companies do that (such as the disastrous "New Coke" disaster). But they are smart enough to realize it very quickly, actually apologize to their customer base, and remedy the situation.
The Bud Light folks just keep doubling down on stupid. Instead of firing the affirmative action hire idiot that caused this whole fiasco, she simply went on a paid "leave of absence". And lots of "double-speak" from upper management, but not actually admitting that they offended their customer base like nobody before them in history. And definitely no apology for this stupidity!!!!!
Best Buy is now in bankruptcy because they failed their conservative customer base with the whole My Pillow fiasco. Coke took a huge hit with their memo for their white employees to stop being so white (which we sure took as we were too white to drink their swill anymore -- and we haven't). And the NFL was previously the kings of idiocy with their whole racist kneeling garbage!!! But, right now at least (sad to say), Anheuser-Busch is definitely the masters of "go woke, go broke"!!!!!

The company is afraid of address its insulting ads to its loyal customers because of the tyrannical Tranny movment? Really? A third reduction in sales because of a tranny and now the company is afraid of a further .00005% reduction in tranny sales if it pleas a Mea Culpa? Really? Are companies willing to loss sales for a bunch of trannies? Honestly, Bud Light and AB are in deep trouble if trannies force them to insult their customers at the cost of dramatic sales reductions.

It takes some sort of special genius to kill a brand so quickly and effectively. This will be studied in business schools for years to come. It took more than a brand manager to do this. She had help.

Regarding Modelo, Corona, and certain other brands (Pacifico etc), AB InBev bought full control of Groupo Modelo in 2013 and was immediately sued by the Justice Department. To settle the case AB InBev granted full US control of all Modelo brands in the US to Constellatin Brands Inc. AB InBev has full rights to the brands in the rest of the world. Constellation produces the US products in their own Mexican breweries, and imports and markets them in the US. Technically the brands are ultimately owned by AB InBev but the US branded products are outside AB InBev's control per the antitrust agreement. Modelo Especial's (and Mexican brands generally) growing popularity has been a thorn in the side of Bud since at least 2015.

Going from #1 in sales in bars to #4, and sales in bars and restaurants down 34% in a couple of weeks. Man that is some marketing genius right there! And there may be a serious load of unhappiness dumped on the corporate folks when the distributors - the folks who actually take the orders and deliver the beer, actually KNOW what is happening - meet with the corporate folks in DC today. Oh, to be a fly on the wall in that meeting !
