Following the recent arrests of two juvenile suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of three teenagers in Ocklawaha, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of a third suspect. MCSO deputies are looking for 16-year-old Tahj Brewton. According to the sheriff’s office, Brewton should be considered armed and dangerous. On Thursday, March 30, shortly after 10:50 p.m., MCSO deputies responded to the area of Forest Lakes Park [snip] in Ocklawaha in reference to an injured female who was laying on the side of the road. Upon arrival, deputies located a 16-year-old girl, later identified as Layla Silvernail, who had been shot.

Comments:

Ocala is a small city in central Florida, (60K population) and this is in the very rural area outside of the city and has not had a history of much crime. I used to live less than an hour drive from there, and have spent time in that rural area canoing and such in recent years. This is Chicago kind of violence, from the usual suspects, of course.

If three white gang members had killed three black girls, the MSM would be all over it for days talking about systemic racism. Just saying...

Ocala is also horse country, where the big-time U.S. and Canadian equestrians winter over every year. As for the incident, high school girls have always liked bad boys but these two couldn't stop to think that maybe they were playing with fire?

Two white girls dead, the third victim seems to be male, and no name or race info. This is really rural, lots of national forest areas around for outdoors recreation, canoeing and hiking and hunting. This is way unusual. I wonder if these guys recently moved here from Chicago or NY or whatever?

I have grown weary of seeing the same vacant-eyed, slack-jawed feral creatures staring at me in yet another series of line-up photos. It has been said with some authority that the eyes are windows to the soul. If true, these monsters are indeed soulless.

The killers and the victims knew each other, were all involved in criminal gang activity, and were "hitting licks" (robberies and burglaries). For some unknown reason the black perps turned on the white perps and killed all three of them: two women and one man. The triple murder is notable because the killers are 12, 16, and 17. The 12-year-old apparently pulled the trigger on at least on of the murders. The reason we know the names of the murderers is because of the heinous nature of the crimes. Even middle schoolers know the difference between right and wrong, and all three have been or will be charged with murder as adults. Do adult crime, pay the adult price. What that means is these three are likely to get life without parole. Unless some milk-kneed Soros influenced judge decides to let them out to murder again. These three feral youths should never see another day of freedom.

Lots of questions. One of the first being where were these girls parents while all of this was going on? Why was this Brewton guy out after he was wanted for all of the charges he had against him? He was wearing an ankle bracelet but took it off? How many other classmates were involved, since all of them should still be in school.

Florida still has the death penalty. They probably won’t use it but it seems appropriate no matter the victims were also criminals. Many years ago, I was leaving my workplace and noticed a dozen LEO vehicles parked where a creek crossed the highway. Apparently, two criminals had robbed a gas station manned by a nice, old elderly guy everybody called “Pop”. They killed him for something like sixty bucks. And dumped his body in the creek. I will let you guess the ethnicity but this was 1961 and they got to “ride the thunderbolt” as we called it. I am somewhat ambivalent about using the death penalty but there are certain crimes that demand it.

San Diego federal judge has issued a ruling that blocks four provisions of California's strict handgun law, becoming the second U.S. district judge within two weeks to rule that parts of the state's Unsafe Handgun Act likely violate the Second Amendment. udge Dana Sabraw's ruling in the San Diego case could potentially open the door for Californians to purchase hundreds of types of semiautomatic pistols that state officials currently deem "unsafe" and thus do not include on a roster of approved handguns. But the judge issued a stay on his decision, giving Attorney General Rob Bonta time to appeal the ruling.

The hideous laws designed to violate almost all parts of the Bill of Rights are finally being struck down as unconstitutional. The Supreme Court of the State of New York, the state's second highest court, recently ruled the state's so-called "red flag" law unconstitutional. These unconstitutional gun confiscation schemes go by different designations, but they are colloquially known as red flag laws. The gun-grabbing ghouls of the far left are creative in describing their operation. Anyone supportive of individual liberty and our commonsense civil rights has been horrified at how these authoritarian abominations violate almost all aspects of the Bill of Rights.

Natural immunity to disease is, or at least was, a well-known concept in medicine. By disease, I mean viral infections. One can’t develop natural immunity to diseases like diabetes or heart failure. Many of us remember “chicken pox parties” where when one kid was infectious, he or she was invited over to play with your kids, so they all got infected and then they did not have to worry about getting chicken pox again, due to natural immunity. The CDC defines it as follows: “Natural immunity is acquired from exposure to the disease organism through infection with the actual disease.”

The Ukrainians have not only held their own, but have managed to liberate a good chunk of their conquered territory. They’ve been buoyed tremendously by a constant influx of Western military aid. I argue here, against a small but vocal conservative faction, that we should continue this aid. There has been plenty of unhelpful hyperbole on both sides of the debate. Prominent pro-Ukrainers have attempted to equate opposition to Ukrainian aid as opposition to democracy itself. Michael Beschloss, NBC’s resident Rent-A-Zinn, referencing members of Congress who didn’t applaud Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent speech, and in Stalinist fashion, tweeted “we need to know from them exactly why.”

David Archibald, an Australian scientist and analyst, counterintuitively argues that China is weaker than we think. I don’t agree with everything Archibald says, both factually and theoretically, but I thought his essay is interesting enough to bring to your attention. The premise of Archibald’s claim that China is not as forbidding as Xi Jinping makes it appear is summed up in a single sentence: “China has a lot of structural problems that make it a fragile state, a frail state and even potentially a future failed state.” Archibald makes five major points: One: China’s demographic games have been disastrous. Gonzalo Carrasco Jr., a 24-year-old officer with the Selma Police Department, was allegedly gunned down by a released convict on the job Tuesday. Overnight, the explosive accusations blew up in the national press, but the details kept changing. Initially, McCarthy said he had a list with the names of 205 communists in the State Department; the next day he revised it to 57. Since he kept the list a secret, the inconsistencies were beside the point. The point was the power of the accusation, which made McCarthy’s name synonymous with the politics of the era.
