Bragg vs. the Windmills

It has always been my contention, drawn from long experience along with wide reading, that the American Left is fundamentally stupid. This is both in a general and particular sense. You have to be a little dense to accept left-wing ideas in the first place. [snip] European leftists have often been true intellectuals – people who do the reading, who are open to debate, who believe in ideas. But American lefties are simply punks. They think only in terms of slogans. They can’t reconcile experience and ideas. They can’t read or understand the historical record [snip] They almost always wind up sabotaging themselves.

Comments:

An excellent look at what Idiot Bragg is doing.

Even leftists have got to know that Bragg is doomed to crash and burn politically and professionally. But they don't really care if, in the meantime, the ongoing burlesque keeps a mentally challenged public distracted with silly legal drama.

Nobody has said it this well in a long time. The left is not called "the stupid half of America" simply because we don't like them. They are selfish, greedy and self-destructive. No reason why we should ever follow them over the cliff.

More like evil, if they were just stupid, like a stopped clock, they would have some policies that were not evil.

I agree that leftists are basically very stupid. However the really bad fact is that they are manipulated by really evil people, like George Soros and the CCP, to do enormous damage to our country, and to all of us.

They might be stupid, but they are winning on many fronts. They have been stealing and herding the political process with it's levers of power since JFK stole his election against Nixon, thanks to obvious voting fraud in Chicago. That's stupid, right? They had Trump on his back feet for much of his time in the W.H. and then they stole his re election right in front of everyone. The 'smart' people were going to stop that, right? Krackens, etc. The idiots of the left have a death grip on our educational system from K to graduate school, they own the mass media and Hollywood. What they can't get with bribes, they get with blackmail. The Mafia wasn't as powerful on it's best day. They steal hundreds of billions every year, with zero accountability. What morons. I wish the gutless liars on the right were half as stupid or had one tenth the fight in them that the stupid rats have. No, the stupid party has been correctly identified for years and it isn't the rats. It's a war of better equipped nazzies vs cub scouts.

Not the German government, which continues on a collision course with reality. But Germans have figured out that the green dream is turning into a nightmare. This report is on a survey of Germans done by forsa: An overwhelming majority of the German population is of the opinion that a successful energy transition is not realistic. According to a Forsa survey, 88 percent of respondents share this view. 88 percent! That is stunning.

San Diego judge blocks key parts of California's

San Diego federal judge has issued a ruling that blocks four provisions of California's strict handgun law, becoming the second U.S. district judge within two weeks to rule that parts of the state's Unsafe Handgun Act likely violate the Second Amendment. udge Dana Sabraw's ruling in the San Diego case could potentially open the door for Californians to purchase hundreds of types of semiautomatic pistols that state officials currently deem "unsafe" and thus do not include on a roster of approved handguns. But the judge issued a stay on his decision, giving Attorney General Rob Bonta time to appeal the ruling.

The hideous laws designed to violate almost all parts of the Bill of Rights are finally being struck down as unconstitutional. The Supreme Court of the State of New York, the state's second highest court, recently ruled the state's so-called "red flag" law unconstitutional. These unconstitutional gun confiscation schemes go by different designations, but they are colloquially known as red flag laws. The gun-grabbing ghouls of the far left are creative in describing their operation. Anyone supportive of individual liberty and our commonsense civil rights has been horrified at how these authoritarian abominations violate almost all aspects of the Bill of Rights.

In an administration plagued with incompetence, the Centers for Disease Control stands out. According to JustTheNews: The CDC found itself hoist with its own petard by making 25 basic statistical and numerical errors related to COVID-19, particularly with regard to children, while purporting to expose COVID vaccine misinformation, according to an analysis led by University of California San Francisco epidemiologists. The preprint, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, documented 20 errors that "exaggerated the severity of the COVID-19 situation" and three that "simultaneously exaggerated and downplayed" severity, while one each was neutral or exaggerated vaccine risks.

Harvard graduate Dr. Joseph Lapado has been called a “quack” and “unqualified” for his traditional, pro-science approach to healthcare; unlike a certain Supreme Court justice, he can tell you the differences between a man and a woman. Thankfully though for a man experiencing a cardiac arrest on the grounds of the Tallahassee capitol, Lapado doesn’t specialize in “gender-affirming care” or “equity” medicine — he’s a real, and apparently very good doctor. Oh my God -- we’re doomed. The UN’s Panel on Climate Change came out with a frightening report earlier this month that we are sitting on a global time bomb, and according to CNN, “time is running out,” without immediate drastic action. The UN report states that if global temperatures reach 1.5 C above the pre-industrial temperature norm of 1850-1900, the resulting melting of the polar ice caps, rising oceans, and unprecedented ecological disaster will follow.

Natural immunity to disease is, or at least was, a well-known concept in medicine. By disease, I mean viral infections. One can’t develop natural immunity to diseases like diabetes or heart failure. Many of us remember “chicken pox parties” where when one kid was infectious, he or she was invited over to play with your kids, so they all got infected and then they did not have to worry about getting chicken pox again, due to natural immunity. The CDC defines it as follows: “Natural immunity is acquired from exposure to the disease organism through infection with the actual disease.”

The Ukrainians have not only held their own, but have managed to liberate a good chunk of their conquered territory. They’ve been buoyed tremendously by a constant influx of Western military aid. I argue here, against a small but vocal conservative faction, that we should continue this aid. There has been plenty of unhelpful hyperbole on both sides of the debate. Prominent pro-Ukrainers have attempted to equate opposition to Ukrainian aid as opposition to democracy itself. Michael Beschloss, NBC’s resident Rent-A-Zinn, referencing members of Congress who didn’t applaud Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent speech, and in Stalinist fashion, tweeted “we need to know from them exactly why.”

David Archibald, an Australian scientist and analyst, counterintuitively argues that China is weaker than we think. I don’t agree with everything Archibald says, both factually and theoretically, but I thought his essay is interesting enough to bring to your attention. The premise of Archibald’s claim that China is not as forbidding as Xi Jinping makes it appear is summed up in a single sentence: “China has a lot of structural problems that make it a fragile state, a frail state and even potentially a future failed state.” Archibald makes five major points: One: China’s demographic games have been disastrous. Mao, who believed in big battalions, deliberately encouraged massive population growth

The bombshell last week was that Seymour Hersh, an investigative reporter who made his name in Vietnam reporting on the My Lai massacre, had released a Substack essay proving that Joe Biden ordered the Nord Stream pipelines to be blown up. Now, though, an analyst says that the essay is manifestly untrue. (This doesn’t erase the possibility that Biden blew up the pipelines; it just means that Hersh’s version isn’t what happened.) BERLIN—“Nuclear power, no thanks!” What was once a slogan found on the bumper of many a German car became a reality Saturday, as the country shut down its three remaining nuclear power plants in line with a long-planned transition toward renewable energy. The shutdown of Emsland, Neckarwestheim II and Isar II shortly before midnight was cheered earlier in the day by anti-nuclear campaigners outside the three reactors and at rallies in Berlin and Munich. Inside the plants, staff held more somber ceremonies to mark the occasion. Decades of anti-nuclear protests in Germany, stoked by disasters at Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and Fukushima, had put pressure on successive governments to end the use of

After years of declining sales, the stalwart kitchen storage company Tupperware announced it could be facing possible collapse last week. Executives cautioned the brand had 'substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern' in the face of a cash crunch and pressure from creditors after years of declining sales. Experts suggested a number of financial missteps plus the proliferation of reusable containers used in increasingly popular food delivery services could all have played a part in the long-standing brand's decline.
