The Biden administration is reportedly finalizing a proposal that would force fossil fuel-fired power plants to substantially curb emissions or utilize costly carbon capture technology.
The proposal — which will soon be released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) — is expected to require coal- and natural gas-fired power plants to cut or capture the vast majority of their carbon dioxide emissions by 2040, The New York Times reported on Saturday, citing officials briefed on a draft of the plan. The regulation, if finalized, would represent the first-ever federal action curbing power plant emissions.
"EPA cannot comment because the proposals are currently under interagency review,"

What about all the natural resources bring strip mined to create batteries as we all know eventually will no longer keep a charge. What THEN?

If you don't have a generator, better get one. The rolling blackouts ARE coming. Generac has excellent whole house units powered by natural gas or propane....if the Dems haven't made that illegal, too.
A relative installed one in her rural home, doesn't worry about the thunderstorm power outages that are common in the SE.
But the Dems HATE IT that we have comfortable, reliable power, 24/7. They want us to be like other third world stinkholes....lots of power outages, less convenience all around. They are making all the appliance no longer work, too.

A great documentary I watched on Youtube that was produced by a strong leftist proves that green energy is a lie (which most of us here knew). It is a perfect documentary on the fraud and failure of the green agenda. Look for Planet Of The Humans. Eye opening even for someone that knew it was all a leftist religion and a scam.

I say every policy proposed by any Bureaucracy MUST have 2/3 of the Congress and Presidential signature before any policy can be enacted. Power plants that have ALREADY rebuilt and reconfigured several times to meet everchanging regulations, caps, and ceilings...at GREAT EXPENSE, charged to the consumers.
The actual solution IF their focus was on green "Power" instead of doing away with Cars/Trucks, would be Nuclear. The footprint and safety of ZERO emission Nukes has been clearly demonstrated to be the best of ALL available options, Compare the track records of Nuclear Submarines, where people LIVE inside a small confined space WITH the nuclear reactor, where a city grid can be run from a docked Nuke sub or carrier. The drawback to trying to build one is COSTS, primarily regulatory, and design oversight generated costs, not actual construction/materials/labor, even the footprint of a major Nuke plant is tiny in comparison to a solar field, but provides 100% steady, scale-able, stored power...on rapid demand. Most of the actual "Footprint" of a nuke site is "Defensive perimeter space", not actual Plant area needed to function...even old tech nukes, still running on COLLEGE CAMPUSES, where they have been incident free for THREE generations now are housed in a small, campus building with zero security required....often the doors are left propped open, students can stick their heads in and take a peek.

Two recent satellite based studies
NOAA STARS satellite data indicates the planet has only warmed by half of the temperatures reported and not near those predicted by models. There is no accelerated warming and no existential threat to life on the planet
Another satellite study using gravitational methods has found 19,000 previously unknown volcanoes under the oceans. But Global Warming and Climate Change models ignore the contribution of vulcanism to increases in greenhouse gases.
I think it was either Von Neuman or Feynman who commented that computer modelling too often devolves into playing games.

The Republicans need to do a video to show how this move by the EPA will cost the average American hundreds more in utility bills. They need to at the same time make sure that the average American knows that China and India are building new Coal Fired electric plants at record pace and the US is doing nothing to try to stop them or to punish them for their actions. They need to make the public understand that if we are forced to turn to EVs, there will not be enough electricity to supply all of the cars and there will be shortages. There is a way to do this that will have an impact on the average working person who has probably never thought about this.

#11, given the fact that the current insanity is the result of deliberate and not very effective application of evil and stupid ideas, I would guess that Donald Trump will have it all reversed in about two months. The average person with the desire and power to destroy the country would have completed the job by now. We laugh at Joe's deteriorating mental condition but it is the reason that the progress of the progressives is so slow.

And Republicans need to stop with the "All of the above" approach to energy for the US. NO - our fossil fuels are just fine, clean, safe and plentiful so its stay with them and add in nuclear power. It's not the 1970s anymore - RIP China Syndrome.
And when is Congress going to start asserting their role in passing legislation? If not then, why do they exist if they are going to continue to let the Administrative State do their work?

Let's see, curb emissions on an old, relatively inefficient power grid that, as-is, will not be able to keep up with the new proposed policies of having EV vehicles replace gas cars. With the emissions policies and EV mandates, how will this power grid keep up with demand? It probably won't. Here comes the blackout. This demented stupid dolt of a president is making us a third-world country, plus making it even easier for China to become the dominant power in the world. Why is this man still president? What idiots we have in charge! We have more important things to correct.

Before President Trump, Pelousy and company attempted to pass laws and regulations that "no future Congress or President could alter." The DemoKKKrats and RINOs thought they could actually get away with it. Future right-thinking Congresses have and will correct this insanity and totalitarianism. This was part of why some of Obamacare was easier to delete. In their haste to pass the ACA, the legislation states, over and over, "as the Secretary (of HHS) shall determine." So, when a new Secretary assumed office, they simply deleted and altered the monstrous ACA. Similar proces with Executive Orders (EO), except EO can be completely trashed by a new President. What one President can accomplish with a wave of the leftist, commie pen, a right-thinking, God fearing, loves the founding and foundation of the greatest country on God's green Earth, that President's EOs can protect the individual, not divide us into groups and steal us blind.
