A jury has found that Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll.
The panel of six men and three women also found that Trump injured advice columnist Carroll in a Manhattan Bergdorf Goodman dressing room and defamed her, ordering the former President to pay her $5million in damages.
Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct or assault by more than two dozen women, but this has so far been the only case to end up before a jury.Carroll, 79, sued for battery under the Adult Survivors Act, a law passed in New York that allowed a one year window for sexual assault claims normally outside of the statute of limitations.
What a bunch of crap.

Fox News is showing a banner that says the jury found Trump assaulted that woman. That is not the case. A biased jury found in the woman's favor in a defamation case because he said her story is untrue. Fox News is leaning hard left and never-Trump, while the Biden regime is destroying this country.

On my satellite system, I can receive several "raw news feed' channels... What the cameras and microphones in the field see and hear from remote locations, before the video and audio gets modified by the editors and producers and spinners.
The hordes of reporters standing in front of the courthouse hoping for interviews are ecstatic: "We Finally Got Him!!!!"

The woman couldn't remember the time, day of week, the month or even what year this alleged assault happened. The case should have been thrown out before a jury was even picked.
A New York jury found Trump liable with her say only and absolutely zero relevant evidence. I wish that I could claim to be shocked.
Next up, he will be convicted in a DC court for leading a rebellion against the US government

Trump had about as much of a chance against a NYC jury as a black man had against an all-white jury in the south during segregation.
As a result of this verdict, people who hate Trump and would never vote for him still won't vote for him. Despite this verdict, Trump's supporters will still vote for him. This election will turn not on this court case, but on the GOP's ability to prevent massive ballot fraud.

I read somewhere that the jury was told if there was 50% chance it happened, they should vote to convict. That's scary. Lots of things life are 50/50.

I never saw ANY evidence that Trump was at Bergdorf Goodman. The plaintiff would not provide a date for any incident, so Trump had no way to provide an alibi. The case should never have been allowed in a courtroom.

That women was lying. That jury had their decision of guilty settled before the trial. Sure would be fun to see if their bank accounts have extra cash in them.
When a person is raped, they NEVER forget the time. The date and where the assault took place. This women could not remember! BullShiff! She also claimed she had a dress which Woukd prove PRESIDENT Trump assaulted her. But she gave it to the press. The democrat judge said no DNA TResting because i
The dress was handled by too many people. More bullshifff, Who Would touch z dirty dress. Yuck! DNA could still be taken off the dress. Dumb women. Could have gotten lots more money. But she knows there was no adult and there us no DNA on her blue dress

As expected. Justice for us, Just-Us for them. Nothing like a two tiered justice system. Wouldn't it be great to live in a country where all men and women are equal under the law. And there is only one legal system!

They found in her favor in assault (“injury”) and defamation. This was a civil case - for damages - not a criminal case. The standard is lower. If the jury believed happened, they were to rule accordingly. The “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard is for criminal cases.

Why does this case remind me of another long past bogus sexual assault when Bret Kavanaugh was also accused
by a victim who remembered even less about things like date of occurrence and who was there?
Hey, maybe Stormy Daniels will have to use her tips from stripping to pay for the court ordered Trump's attorney fees after all.
Now everybody is going to bring some kind of a court case against Trump.

How many people who say they hate Trump are, in truth, jealous of him and his success and his wealth and his family? I do not know if he will appeal the verdict; maybe he will decide it is not worth his time and money, but I wish he could have the case tried again outside of NYC.

Don't pay it President Trump, and appeal the verdict. What a bunch of Adam Shiff. It was a kangaroo court!
These biased jurors ignored due process or the TRUTH. How can you convict someone years later when the
"victim" can't remember salient points? Besides that, it was tried in the State of New York where the PDJT hatred derangement is running high. Sadly, Justice, due process and the Truth has died in the State of New York!

I haven't followed the case in detail but it sounds like the jury believed some of her story but rejected the most serious part. That seems odd. Didn't her friend testify that Carroll had immediately alleged an actual rape?
if she had said when the incident occured then Trump might have been able to show he was somewhere else at the time. . But it is very hard to show you were never at a given place during a period of several years.
A current UPI story itemizes the various parts of the $5M judgement. It also implies the jury spent almost no time in deliberatations.

This is hard to believe.
Yet there it is.
What did they offer in the way of evidence?
How did they instruct the jury.?
What criteria was used in selecting a jury?

She couldn’t remember the year she was raped, the statute of limitations expired sooo she brought a civil suit, the jury said she’s was not raped, she said it happened about 26 years ago, Trump said he has never seen her, the judge refused to give the names of the jurors , which is illegal, the judge gave $$$ to Bidens campaign, she was funded by a billionaire who Hates Trump. How did the jury manage to dismiss the rape charge yet allowed the assault charge to stand? It’s a civil case, it’s in NY….what a joke!

Two major cases where they had to CHANGE the Law...to claim he broke it.
She claimed RAPE, clearly a defamatory. He says "Nope", she gets $5miilion, when she cannot even recall what YEAR it took place? The Statute of limitations was already long expired?
"They " passed a special ONE YEAR Law to allow this particular case. Sounds like a Bill of Attainder.
"They" also waived statuates to prosecute him on minor book keeping differences of opinion, that had already passed state and federal tax audits, and FEC investigations...but now they want to claim they are felonies? 34 Felonies?

Frightening. I was leaning DeSantis but I will crawl over the proverbial broken glass to vote for Trump. If any of you good Lucianne folks have the means to get out of NYC, do it now before it’s too late and they start fining people who are trying to escape. California is already considering taxing residents who are leaving.

Damages for denying the charges? Given she ripped off Dick Wolf's show for her tale of woe, she is the one who needs to pay out the nose, not Trump. The big problem here is, she has tried this on several other men also but thankfully without success. Women like this need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Their lies damage the credibility of actual real victims and scare them from coming forward.

How could Trump have defamed Ms. Carroll by defending himself against her accusations? By the standards set by today's verdict, any person who says their accuser is a liar is guilty of defamation. And don't get me started on the not remembering when or details of the alleged assault, but only remembering that it happened. Maybe it was a dream.

and pray tell just what happened to that black Donna Karan coat dress she was wearing at the time?..said it had DNA on it..she kept it hanging on her dressing room door for decades and then suddenly..poof..it was supposedly given to some reporters and then was "contaminated"..it could not be used because too many people had handled..how convenient!!! I started shopping at Bergdorf's in 1960 and continued until sometime in the mid 2000's..it is as quiet as a tomb
a gorgeous tomb.the sales staff..the Gestapo..in the nicest. possible way. would never have let a male close to the dressing rooms..especially in the "frillies" dept.and DJT would have stood out like a sore thumb..6 ft. 3 and blonde..couldn't hide that!! She has always been certifiable..I used to read her columns for amusement..
