Joe Biden Tuesday evening released a brief statement after meeting with congressional leaders to discuss the debt ceiling.
Biden met with Speaker McCarthy, Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Minority Leader McConnell and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in the Oval Office.
McCarthy’s debt limit plan will eliminate Biden’s unconstitutional student loan bailout plan and slash the funds set aside for the army of IRS agents.

160 billion, if true, is a rounding error with the sheer amount of spending since 2008. A trillion anymore hardly gets anyone's attention.
I'm only surprised that he didn't spend 2 trillion and claimed to have saved money by shopping the discount racks.
160 billion today is chump change.

IF he cut spending soooo much...Why does he need a debt ceiling Increase, on an Emergency Basis...long BEFORE the money was supposed to have run out?

This sob is screwing over the American people a "billion" times over. Real people are suffering or will suffer if this thing blows up in his face. The Republicans have to stand their ground, to give him one inch will enbolden him to do even more crap to us. What he has already done to the economy is bad enough. Instead of sending billions more to Ukraine, spend it on the American people who should come first, but no, the American people are just an endless supply of money for him to screw around with and line his pockets, it is China and others he cares about, we are always last until he needs more cash for power. Drop dead Joe, needs to do just that. FJB and the Dems.

I'm surprised that Jackass Joe hasn't created an EO that allows him to keep on spending like there is no tomorrow and soon there wouldn't be. Any of us could think of a thousand things that could be cut out of the US Government expenses right now and real people would not miss them. Welfare and other vote buying, paid to not work programs, climate change, the Department of *******, all Ministries of Propaganda, Secret Service protection for all of the corrupt Biden family, all of it should be on the table.

So Sponge-Brain Joe finally has his Dr. Evil moment...
Does he really think that we don't know that the billions he's sending to Ukraine aren't being funneled into the pockets of Zelensky and his top generals (with 10% for the "Big Guy" of course - call it a "finders fee")?
$160 billion is a rounding error in the administration's "modern monetary policy". Trillions in debt, skyrocketing inflation, and riots in the streets...let's vote for four more years of this...!!
I'll keep those savings in mind when I go to the store or out to eat - the average cost is about 20% more across the board since 2021. $24 ribeyes? $6 eggs? $7 bacon? $4 bread?

AT BEST this is like the sleazy retail sale ad hyping the price savings on products whose prices were doubled or tripled shortly beforehand. A bipartisan spike in spending, mitigated by a blip of cutting and distorted by gaslighting 'news' media.
The New York Times, L.A. Times, Washington Post, et al. should just be merged into a new End Times, the way their coverage is distorted to a degree approaching the opposite of reality.

Biden has no intention of negotiating with McCarthy who since being elected has stuck to the conservative political line. Instead Biden will most likely negotiate with McConnell who is his decades old Senate buddy. McConnell will probably negotiate with Biden and his crew behind McCarthy’s back and will engineer yet another UniParty establishment Republican cave in to Biden and leftist Democrat demands. Watch that work out!

"...we cut the deficit by $160 B I L L I O N on the MEDICARE deal."
Did anyone catch that? HOW are they cutting the deficit $160B....is it by cutting Medicare benefits?!? of course, that's it - it's what dems do best, steal from those who worked for it!
To #2: $160B is NOT chump change if they are taking it all from Medicare. That alone will leave a LOT of seniors in dire straits.

We drove to California and back several weeks ago and have never seen the freeways in such bad condition. Potholes all the way around. The money Biden sent to Ukraine could have help to fix those roads.
Where is Congress anyway? Why can't they stop Biden and the bleeding to Ukraine?
