Retired U.S. Navy Commander Julianna Vida slammed one Republican Party lawmaker’s criticism of the Navy officially using a drag queen to boost recruitment for the military branch.
In a statement provided to Fox News Digital this week, Vida said that Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s assessment that the Navy has become "preoccupied with identity politics" is "destructive" and "undermines" the Navy’s methods of recruiting new members.
Vida, who was in the Navy for over 30 years and currently servers on the Naval Academy Alumni Association Board of Trustees, defended the Navy’s use of drag queen recruiting ads as a "critical" method of welcoming "traditionally excluded segments of our population."

When my dad and each of my brothers were in the Navy homosexuality was unlawful there.
Later it became optional and legal.
Now it is being encouraged.
Get out before they make it mandatory!

I guess they don't come any dumber than this dame. No wonder recruitment is down in every branch. One only has to look at flat footed moron Austin and his CRT rubbish.

Men in dresses do not belong in our armed forces. Corporal Klinger only did it to get out on a Section 8. And he used the mens latrine.

Diversity Inclusion and Equity might well be replaced with the Royal Navy’s traditional reputation as application of Rum, the Lash, and Buggery.

The dismantling of our Military because it's much too masculine, and we all know how toxic that can be. The feminization of both men and armies will continue unabated by your hurtful complaints.

The Woke think only their opinion matters. She dismisses the opinions of those who disagree because they served in the past? "Traditionally excluded groups" were often excluded for good reasons, as the drag queen issue should make loud and clear. Look at the recruiting numbers, Commander Woke.

China and or Russia is just sitting back waiting for us to implode before they just waltz in and take over. Pansy America at your service. This is sickening. Why so much emphasis on sex when there is so much work to do?

Re #5, you confuse the British Navy with the US Navy. None of those were ever factors in our Navy.

Building up deviancy by tearing normal down makes so much sense. NOT. Never has successfully worked, never will.
Claiming, as in the article, they want to increase the ranks of excluded segments of our population has the unintended consequence of decreasing the ranks of those who would normally enlist.

My service in the United States Navy was an honor and a privilege half a century ago.
Today, I would discourage my grandkids from serving beside some of the misfits that seem to populate that once proud branch of our defense.

Commander in only 30 years? Not exactly a rate burner huh? I was proud of my service when I retired in 1996. My son served on USS Ronald Reagan in the early 2000s, with pride. I can't any longer advise young men to consider it these days.

I was in the fourth year of women at the Academies. Women made up 12% of total class. Now women make up from 30-40%. Please explain how so many women are superior to men who applied to the Academies. They are not. Selection criteria has changed to favor women and other selected sub groups and exclude straight White men.

I have alwayus found it most intriguing that among the primary defenders of of the LGBTIQ+++, trangender, and Drag Queen agendas are WOMEN, with all their feelings, emotions and "wishful thinking" denial of Natursl science and Historicla fact claptrap! Confirms the view that Western cilvilization has been going backwards since women were given the right to vote and became the majority vote fortwith, with all the male polticians selling out all principles that made it great, for the sake of pure political power..
