Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that the Georgia investigation of former President Donald Trump’s Jan. 2, 2021 call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger will likely result in indictments. Schiff said, “Well, I give a lot of credit to the Fulton County DA. I think she’s been really courageous and has moved with swiftness to conduct this investigation.” He continued, “When a prosecutor talks about charging decisions, I tend to infer from that suggests someone will be charged. Often when there is a decision not to prosecute, there really isn’t a public statement.

HOUSTON — The One Safe Houston violent crime reduction program hosted its latest event today in northeast Harris County.

According to Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Houstonians traded in nearly 800 guns at the event.
The event went from 8 a.m. to noon at Deussen Park. People turning in guns will got gift cards ranging from $50 to $200, depending on the type of weapon and whether it still works.
“We don’t ask questions,” Ellis said. “We don’t care if they come from other counties.”

Police officers in Columbus, Georgia were dispatched to the Shell gas station on Warm Springs Road on Friday night around 10 p.m. Responding officers reported a large group of people with nine shooting victims, police said in a press conference on Saturday.
"Based on our preliminary investigation, we learned that an altercation took place at a party that was nearby," Columbus Police Chief Freddie Blackmon said, adding that all the victims were under the age of 18.
