The 1950s “Nation of Immigrants” narrative is more important than Congress’s laws, according to Alexandro Mayorkas, who is President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief.
“Our goal is to achieve operational control of the border, to do everything that we can to support our personnel with the resources, the technology, the policies that really advance the security of the border, and do not come at the cost of the values of our country,” Mayorkas said in an interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace, on the cable TV show, Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.”

and, as long as we have people like that determining the direction of our country we'll be exactly in the same place we are right now, forever
we must get sanity back in the decision makers in our government ie: no demcommies(period)

Mayorkas just proved the case for his own impeachment. Just more proof that Mayorkas and all the rest of Biden"s "firsts" are unfit for office.

Govt employees do not take an oath to a "Social Slogan" they take an oath to THIS country, and it's LAWS.
If they do not feel it's LAWS "align with their expectations" for immigrant non-citizens, they need to be barred from Law Enforcement, they are free to run and try to be elected as legislators, to CHANGE the Laws. But their duty as employees of the Govt is to Follow and Enforce those Laws.
In his own words, HE KNOWS what the LAWS say..."If one looks at [Congress’s 2006] statutory definition, the literal interpretation of the statutory language, if one person successfully evades law enforcement at the border, then we have breached the security of the border " . 4.5 Million on HIS watch is a total failure, and a breach of HIS DUTY.

Does Secretary Mayorkas think that his parents were the only people who came to the United States for a better life? Perhaps he does. Everyone's experience is different. Secretary Mayorkas' parents fled with him from Communist Cuba in 1959, and they came to America to take advantage of all the freedoms and opportunities our country provides and which he, himself, benefited from (U.C. Berkeley and Loyola Law School), but with those freedoms and opportunities come the responsibilities of being an American citizen.
My parents immigrated from Ireland. Waited until one of their aunts or uncles would send them the passage money to come over on a ship. Their first stop would be Ellis Island where they be interviewed and vetted for any health problems (had an uncle who got a cold on the trip over and was terrified he would be sent back on the next ship to Ireland claiming he had tuberculosis - he didn't and he wasn't). They studied to pass their citizenship tests and when they became citizens, they knew that they had received a great gift and they never took that gift for granted.
I worked with a very wise Jewish woman when I was young, and she told me that "How something begins is very very important." Secretary Mayorkas, we have a terrible homelessness problem in our country. One only has to take a walk through the streets of any of our major cities - but not at night - to become aware of how bad the problem is, and many of those homeless people are veterans (I think I read that the suicide rate among homeless veterans is about twenty-five a day - forgive me if my information is incorrect. Perhaps it is more than that.) And how many of the homeless who collapsing on the streets of our major cities are young drug addicts? How much drugs are being brought in across our southern border? And, lately, I have been reading articles about how badly our children are being taught in our schools where they are not even learning basic math and so many of them do not even know how to read. Why is this happening? Years ago, I had a class of 60 children in the second grade and they all could read at the end of the school year.
Secretary Mayorkas, the problems in our country are frightening (and you know I am only mentioning a few of them). They have to be addressed, or the freedoms and opportunities that were there for your parents and mine will no longer be there for others. You have to address the problems in your own country before you try to solve the problems in the rest of the world, You are a well-educated man. You know what I am saying is true.

Every other country in the world also allows immigrants. But every other country in the world has limitations, conditions, and reasonable controls on how many can enter. Mr. Mayorkas doesn't want any controls and has chosen to be the sole determiner of who and how many can enter, disregarding all of our laws.
Impeach.

With 5 million illegals and counting flooding America Mayorkas is seeding the war in the streets. This Cuban ingrate is a full blown traitor and congress should respond as such.

We are a nation of LEGAL immigrants, not illegal aliens, Our infrastructure and our culture cannot absorb the bum rush of illegals that the open borders crowd salivate over. That's unsustainable in the long run. They know this.
Cloward and Pliven are smirking.

Yes, we are a nation of immigrants and they came here LEGALLY!!! and did not demand welfare such as lodgings in four star hotels, get cell phones, free health care and handouts. Our forbears here worked the minute they got here. Those who didn't had the money to support themselves. Mayokas is sitting up there making money from we taxpayers, will have a great pension and health care freely throwing our money around on criminals. Thanks a lot!

My grandparents arrived through Galveston at the turn if the 20th Century. Before they were allowed into the country they had to have a sponser who would help them find an appropriate communuty in which to live, provide jobs and assist assimilation into life in America. My parents grew up 20 miles apart but when they met in their teens they were surprised that they both had the same "uncle". He was no relation to either but both families' sponser.

We may be a nation of immigrants, but why does he want them to have come illegally, or by use of some "asylum" or other claim instead of the normal processing?

What Biden, Mayorkas, and the leftist and socialist Democrats are doing is flooding the USA with millions of poor and uneducated illegal aliens from the third world who fit within the minority group categories of Democrat identity politics who they believe will come to embrace the leftist and socialist Democrat political agenda, and will eventually become leftist and socialist Democrat supporters and voters by the tens of millions. There are billions of such potential illegal aliens out there in the world and there is no doubt that most of them would like to gain entry, by hook or by crook to the USA, either illegally or legally, and resettle in this country for a “better life”. Actually what Biden and Mayorkas are doing is seriously expanding the minority population groups in the USA by using the fraudulent guise that most all third world origin peoples are eligible for asylum in the USA, are analogous to the Jewish people who fled Nazi racial persecution before and during the Second World War, and that they must be allowed into the USA in unlimited numbers to apply for asylum and other human resource benefits because “that’s who we are”. Biden and Mayorkas know that by facilitating masses of such illegal aliens to illegally enter the USA in violation of the immigration laws passed constitutionally by Congress, that they are feloniously violating those laws. Biden’s and Mayorkis’s assumption is that they can get away with violating the congressionally passed current immigration laws, as they effectively create their own unconstitutional immigration laws, believing that the wimpy Republicans will only talk and write letters that will never be acted upon in response, and will eventually cave to Democrat demands as they have always done in the past, and are scared to death if they were to take effective action to oppose or stop what Biden and Mayorkas have been doing, that the leftist and socialist Democrats would call them all out as being racists. What Biden, Mayorkis, and the leftist and socialist Democrats intend to actually do, as they know that almost all of the illegal aliens they are allowing into the USA would be denied asylum by immigration judges as being ineligible under the current immigration laws, so as Biden recently pointed out in his State of the Union speech, he expects Congress to effectively make the mass uncontrolled illegal immigration situation effectively legal, through Democrat designed “comprehensive immigration reform” bills that will pass the Congress with wimpy Republican support, that would include a series of Democrat designed “Path to Citizenship” amnesty and legalization programs that would essentially create tens of millions of future foreign origin Democrat supporters and voters, causing permanent Democrat control of the Congress and the White House and able to transform the USA into some form of socialist utopia.
