I have a secret to share: I think both the Trump and Biden classified document scandals are big fat nothingburgers. It’s not that I don’t think classified documents are important, or that they shouldn’t be protected, or anything like that. If anybody outside the elite of the elite did what these guys did they would be toast. But at this level? Does anybody think that a former VP or President isn’t a walking classified document already? These guys write their own rules, for good or ill. If either of them wanted to blow the whistle on anything nobody could stop them. Hillary Clinton did much worse

State gas taxes range from a national high of 61 cents for gas in Pennsylvania, to a low of 8.95 cents in Alaska. But environmentally motivated improvements in fuel efficiency and the move to electric vehicles (EVs) translate to less gas sold, resulting less tax revenue collected. Lützerath, Germany was a small town located about 50 miles west of Frankfurt. It has been empty of residents for some time after government ministers reached an agreement that would allow an open pit coal mine to expand in the area. Here’ a video showing how close the village is to the current mine. You may remember a bizarre incident that took place in the early 2000s. To briefly recap, the company Cape Wind Associates wanted to erect an offshore wind farm off the coast of Massachusetts. We all know who lives on the coast of Massachusetts: rich people who champion all sorts of causes, including renewable energy. But these rich people did not want the things that produce renewable energy within sight of their beach homes. Among those who were scandalized by the idea were Walter Cronkite and then-Senator Ted Kennedy. Other wealthy people who also claimed to love Mother Earth were opposed to the idea and a lawsuit ensued.

After years of flip-flopping, the ATF has issued a rule recharacterizing guns with pistol braces, making millions of currently owned guns subject to federal "short-barrel" rifle registration, together with a $200 tax. The effect of this rule change is particularly potent in Connecticut, where existing laws banning so-called "assault rifles" are immediately triggered. Owners there of handguns with pistol braces cannot merely remove the brace if the weapon has a "forward pistol grip" or "second hand grip"; these guns are effectively rendered instantly illegal due to the fickle federal rule change.

Washington - A former top intelligence official who signed on to a letter attacking The Post’s bombshell 2020 reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation has now admitted he knew a “significant portion” of the recovered files “had to be real” – but doesn’t regret dismissing the exposé. Douglas Wise, a former Defense Intelligence Agency deputy director, was one of 51 erstwhile intelligence brass who issued the public letter on Oct. 19, 2020 — five days after The Post began a series of reports on the now-first son’s shady overseas business dealings. Of the four presidential assassinations in American history, James A. Garfield’s carries the most significance for Americans today. In office only four months before being shot in a Washington train station, Garfield clung to life for an additional two months, earning him the dubious distinction of being the slain American president with the shortest tenure in office and the longest period in agony. Garfield’s assassin, Charles Guiteau, was an unknown and insignificant supporter of Garfield’s during the 1880 presidential campaign with the delusional notion that his unknown and insignificant support entitled him

Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee has introduced a bill aimed at fighting “white supremacy” by attaching criminal charges to certain forms of hate speech. The Democratic congresswoman introduced the Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023, which aims “to prevent and prosecute white supremacy inspired hate crime and conspiracy to commit white supremacy inspired hate crime.” The conspiracy addition means people who use hate speech online could face criminal charges under the legislation even if they don’t act on their threats.

It must be nice to be Joe Biden. When the Justice Department lost patience with Donald Trump, who was storing classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, they launched an unprecedented Hollywood-style raid on the former president's home – complete with 30 federal agents and a comprehensive search of Melania's wardrobe. But when it turns out that Biden was keeping secret material in his personal office and Delaware garage alongside his prized Corvette -- suddenly it's like Seinfeld's Uncle Leo stealing from the bookstore, 'I'm an old man!' Did the prolonged fight for the Speaker’s gavel create circumstances for change in Washington -- especially in the Republican party? For the first time in over a century, it took 15 rounds of voting, cajoling, compromise, and almost one fistfight to select a Speaker of the House. The MSM gleefully reported on the “Republican clown show,” predicting that the conflict would split the party. They even fantasized that it could result in a Democrat Speaker, in a majority Republican House of Representatives. What a sweet victory that would be. Well, the Republicans didn’t break up, the Democrats didn’t pull off an upset, and the MSM was blind to

Martin Luther King Jr. was more than a great pastor and civil rights leader. He had a deep mind of discernment that focused on timeless truths. The holiday in his commemoration is not only the time to celebrate his depth, character, and accomplishments, but it is also an occasion to reflect on the conditioning and brainwashing that characterize today’s leftist identity politics, which seeks to normalize the legitimacy of divisive and demoralizing ideologies King fought against. In contrast, King was all about constructive action directed at racial and social healing through truth, love, and peaceful nonviolent debate and protest.

The discovery of a fourth set of classified documents, at the Biden residence in Delaware, has further undermined the White House’s virtual mantra that the president “takes classified documents very seriously.” Putting aside the repeated movement of highly classified documents over six years, one curious element has emerged in this scandal: the use of private counsel. Not only did President Joe Biden enlist lawyers to clear out his private Washington office; he then used them — rather than security officers or the FBI — to search for additional classified documents. The initial use of lawyers is notable.
