SF Reparations Committee proposal demonstrates

I am grateful to San Francisco’s official African American Reparations Advisory Committee for the damage it has done to the notion that the current populace of the United States, none of whom were alive during slavery, owe some kind of debt to African Americans. (snip) The notion that but for the “harms” it cites, including mortgage discrimination, the construction of public housing, and the “war on drugs,” every African American would be rocketed into the 2% wealthiest Americans, is patently absurd.

I self-identify myself as a black, long-time resident of San Francisco. Please send a check. If I can get any more money by self-identifying myself as LGBTQWYZ, immigrant, gender-fluid, minor-attracted-person (aka "pervert" outside of SF), or vegan, please include that as part of the payment. I also self-identify myself as a resident of Texas for tax purposes. I may be crazy, but I ain't stupid.

Unreality. Yep. 45,000 blacks in SanFran, times $5 million payoff each, works out to $225 billion for just the folks in the city. Since the entire SanFran budget per year is around $13 billion, they can pay off this group of scammers in only 17 years by putting 100% of the budget to that purpose. Eye roll. They really ARE completely nuts.

$225 billion, huh? I guess that SF is going to have to go on the open market and sell their reparation bonds, since the city doesn't have that kind of cash sitting around. Any sucker who buys a "San Francisco Reparation Bond" deserves to be fleeced.

Idiocy like this does not help the black community. Instead it reinforces the belief that blacks are incapable of taking care of themselves and need a nanny state to survive.

After years of flip-flopping, the ATF has issued a rule recharacterizing guns with pistol braces, making millions of currently owned guns subject to federal "short-barrel" rifle registration, together with a $200 tax. The effect of this rule change is particularly potent in Connecticut, where existing laws banning so-called "assault rifles" are immediately triggered. Owners there of handguns with pistol braces cannot merely remove the brace if the weapon has a "forward pistol grip" or "second hand grip"; these guns are effectively rendered instantly illegal due to the fickle federal rule change.

Kathy Chung may be a key figure in the mishandling of classified documents from Joe Biden’s two terms as vice president. As his executive assistant at the time, she was reportedly involved in packing up the documents he removed from government offices when his term as VP ended. (snip) Who is Kathy Chung? Curiously, neither the UK Daily Mail nor Fox News, both of which are experts at digging up photos, has been able to come up with a picture of Ms. Chung, despite her currently serving in a rather public position for a rather public figure, the Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Within 24 hours of the public learning of the existence of a second trove of classified documents stolen from the White House by Joe Biden, this time in his Delaware garage, AG Merrick Garland disposed of a hot potato by appointing Robert Hur, a DC Lawyer and former US Attorney for Maryland as special counsel. The approved narrative is already emphasizing that he was a Trump appointee but will not mention that presidents usually nominate candidates recommended by a state’s senators, in Hur’s case, liberal Democrats Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen in 2018.

(snip) America is the only nation where people politick to make its long-dead slave past the center of its history. In 2021, Disney greenlit Strange World, an animated movie about a family journeying through a mysterious land to save a resource that’s losing its energy. Bob Iger, who is returning to Disney to “save” it from Bob Chapek’s sad tenure, was still on board in 2021, so he must have greenlit it. That’s a relevant fact because the movie bombed at the box office. Coincidentally or not, the movie has an openly gay subtext as one of the main male characters crushes on another boy. Before the movie opened, the media wanted audiences to know about the gay romance, probably under the mistaken belief that audiences would care:

With each gallon of gas pumped in the United States since 1932, drivers have been paying taxes. The revenue is used for road repairs and public transportation such as train and bus systems. Currently, the Fed takes 18.4 cents per gallon for gas or 24.4 cents per gallon for diesel. State gas taxes range from a national high of 61 cents for gas in Pennsylvania, to a low of 8.95 cents in Alaska. But environmentally motivated improvements in fuel efficiency and the move to electric vehicles (EVs) translate to less gas sold, resulting less tax revenue collected. State and federal governments are looking for a new way to fund transportation.

In an exchange on the opinion roundtable show, "The Five," Rivera discussed President Joe Biden's pledge to ban assault rifles with his fellow co-hosts. "I submit to you, ladies and gentlemen, there is no legitimate reason ... to have an AR-15," Rivera tells the table. Fox News host Greg Gutfeld pushed back on Rivera's opinion, however, and asked the former correspondent, "What does 'AR' stand for?" "It is an automatic rifle," Rivera answered, to which Gutfeld said, "That's not what it is."
