The call to ban gas stoves in the U.S., based on environmental concerns, certainly drew backlash from an angry public tired of seeing their household appliances, critical possessions and standard of living being targeted.
After all, they've already gotten our incandescent light bulbs and flush toilets in many quarters. They've meddled with the design of our cars and guns. They're trying to get our meat, telling us to eat bugs instead. Many consumers, and professional chefs, who say gas is best for cooking, simply put their collective foot down.
Where did this lunacy come from?
About where you'd expect -- from our enemies.

You can't shut off gas stoves and heaters remotely.

Makes you wonder if the politicians who are pushing this idea is being paid to do it by the Chinese. They should not be allowed to govern. They should be charged with Treason. When will our politicians be held accountable?

#1, but you can destroy or turn off pipelines in a remote location.

Natural gas is THE most efficient, clean and affordable form of energy for the home. Gas furnaces are around 93% efficient for modern designs with the plastic exhaust pipe type of "flue", and older designs with the standard metal flues are about 87% efficient. Gas stoves and the rarely seen, but still common in older homes, open "blue flame" wall heaters are 100% efficient, literally all the heat going to the intended purpose.
And it is delivered at extremely low cost via pipelines.

The part I found most interesting regarding this article were the statistics. China has 22 years of natural gas left given its current reserves, and the US only has 12 years of natural gas left. Not sure what I think of this. Obviously, the natural gas companies have to continue searching for more resources. Maybe this is the normal state of affairs regarding resource reserves.

I'm a chef and ask any other, a gas stove is IT too cook properly. An electric alternative is a magnetic induction stove. The stove top is fine but you must have Magnetic Pans like stainless steel. Other pans like ceramic or aluminum won't work at all and cast iron can be a disaster. They also cost 3 times as much as a gas stove and use a BUNCH of electricity. Then you have to have a gas convection oven.

Natural gas is the easiest and cheapest energy to produce. For five years that was my job in a large well known oil company. The gas only has to have moisture removed (heater towers) when it comes out of the ground, pressure boosted by compressor for pipeline to sales. Even the compressors run on the natural gas cleanest energy there is. If you come for my gas stove and furnace, I'll give you a lesson in how an assault weapon and ammunition work. That goes for the Chinese government too.

Years ago, I attended a safety lecture hosted by a rep from the local gas company. This I remember; gas is not poisonous. He demonstrated by snorting up a snootful. It kills by “drowning,” depriving your lungs of oxygen. That is why sewer gas is mixed with the natural gas, so we call smell it if there is a leakage. NG is oderless. Obviously the other danger is an open flame.
Anyway, it will be way too easy to shut off our supply, rendering ALL gas appliances useless, including home heating. I’m afraid that is going to be the scenario.

#6 - And trying to wok on an electric stove is out of the question, so you know the Chinese will never give up their gas burners.

Sewer gas is not mixed with natural gas as an odorant. Sewer gas is hydrogen sulfide which is toxic. Methyl mercaptan or another substance is mixed with natural gas as an odorant.

Rip Van #1 must have been asleep while things like "smart meters" got implemented and installed, which allow utilities (at the behest of government officials) to control the timing and settings of our climate control systems, not just remotely, but also in real time. And we let that happen in the name of convenience or in exchange for discounts.

The Chinese take over of the USA is in plain sight yet we are no where near a critical mass who see it. I have been quick to use the word coup but we are really under attack from a foreign adversary.

Natural Gas is the ideal fuel. It requires virtually no processing, is relatively easy to transport through physical pipes, is the #1 fuel in North America, where we have more than most anyone in the world. is easily accessible, and it's clean burning, providing nothing by plant food (mostly CO2) in the process. These psycho anti-American, Chinese loving scurn should be taken out and tarred and feathered for their attempts to disrupt the American way of life.

In my opinion the best way to counter this kind of insanity is to expose the individuals behind it. They do their dishonest research and our first question when these “studies” rear their partisan political heads should be to name the people actually doing the work, name the persons or entities who fund it and demand complete transparency. We cannot allow them to be kept behind a veil of rhetoric. They must be able to defend their positions and we must demand that they do. If we have learned one thing these past two years it is to question everything especially when it comes to public safety, public health, and anything else for which the left is advocating simply because they cannot be trusted.

Call me skeptical because natural gas reserves were estimated at 300 years at current use a decade ago. One of the Halliburton geologists stated they do not always strike recoverable oil but the natural gas is viable lacking a pipeline nearby for distribution.

No wonder china is building all those coal facilities...they hope to do to America...what Russia did to Germany...get US hooked on their supplying our coal...now that biden has threatened the coal industry here in America to shut them down...just as crooked Hillary said back in 2016 when she told the miners to find other work because she was going to shut down the mines...

My best guess would have been the son of Al and Pauline Gore, the parents that dragged the Vanderbilt drop-out--Spotted Owl Gore--back from Canada. Nobody ever found out what Little Al would be when he grew up.

The leftist attack on energy has nothing whatsoever to do with the environment. The left learned that Republicans will scatter like cockroaches to avoid being labelled "racist", "white" "anti-science" or "anti-environment".. As soon as the Republicans once again signaled their cowardice , "the environment" became another book of dogma in the left's religious crusade against Freedom. And remember - it was Republican President Richard M. Nixon who surrendered our lives, our country, and our Freedom by signing the Magna Carta of enviro-fascism. 1972 marks the end of Freedom in the US, thanks to the Republican Party. .
