The truth needs to be told about who rounded up the Africans and sold them into slavery. Name any people on the planet that haven't at one time or another been slaves. It will be a short list.

Great article, but it misses the fact that if slavery had never existed in America, modern-day black Americans would have never been born. They would not be living in West Africa in some idyllic Yoruban village. They never would have been born. If their ancestors had remained in Africa, they never would have met or had the same children [genetic line] that eventually resulted in today's black population in America, who are biproducts of slavery. They cannot logically claim that they have been damaged by slavery or the ''legacy of slavery'', when if it had not been for slavery they would have never been born.

I'd also like to expand on that and to break the chains of vocabulary to examine various versions of the human condition. It seems to me that if these criteria are met you are a slave. • You don't keep the product of your toil but the one in power does and provides for your needs. • You don't choose your form of toil those in power chose for you. • You don't have the option to leave to go elsewhere those in power see to it that you don't. • You are punished severely for defying those in power. It seems to me that there are more than one examples that meet that criteria and that not all of them have been labeled as slavery. It also seems to me that half of the country is espousing that we go through a fundamental transformation to one of those forms of human existence.

This is a highly worthwhile article, because it gives important background for the fight against the relentless propaganda of the Left and MSM. The great manufactured lie of 'Systemic Racism' is powerful tool, commonly employed to disunite Americans, but also, by fueling resentment, to provide the energy needed to force an overthrow of the USA as it has always existed. It is not hard to imagine why the education mills keep this history hidden.

#4, what you have described is not only the criteria for slavery, it is also the criteria for communism. And you’re right that half of the country is promoting it while they try to hide it by calling it “socialism”. They forget that USSR stood for the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics. When that half of the country finally gets what they think they want, they are not going to like it.

Slavery has been used as an excuse for incompetence, slothfulness, lack of discipline, and an education system offered to blacks which they refuse to take full advantage of. Blacks can and do learn as well as any other race if they allow themselves to stop believing the BS put out by other racist blacks about how they cannot get ahead because of whitey. Stop listening to the lies and get educated your future is as bright as anyone's if you stop using the slavery of your ancestors as an excuse.

Let's not forget that African chieftains put their own people of their own tribe into cages and carry them to the Portuguese ships! Furthermore, every country on the planet had slaves, every one of them. Europeans had them as well as Asians, or Russians. No one paid them a dime when they were freed. I for one am sick and tired of American politicians and street rebel rousers who are blabbing about 'reparations' that are due! Really?

Can't do it. Teaching the truth about slavery would lead to teaching the truth about systemic racism in America (there isn't any), reparations (we've had it for the past half century in fhe form of affirmative action), and remove racism as the officially taught excuse for Black failure. Teach the truth about slavery and all the rest and you remove the reason to exist for the race hustlers and race grifters who depend upon Black ignorance and failure for their livelihoods. Teach the truth about slavery and all the rest and suddenly the race hustlers have to get real jobs. Horrors!

At the time, slavery was a system practiced worldwide and was acceptable as a natural form of cheap labor. Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Aztecs, Incas and all other South American tribes practiced it. Certain countries in the Middle East still practice it. At a certain point after the Civil War we decided that it was better to use the Chinese for that purpose, probably because they were more productive. The majority of all of those who were the citizens of conquered countries, have managed to get over it. Many American blacks have discovered their history of slavery as a method to avoid work and responsibility and be coddled by others. LBJ saw the benefit of feeding this discovery. Why would they give that up? Many of us who have traveled the world have learned that American blacks are "different" from all others. We caused that. #23, let us remember that the Great Wall in China is also stuffed with the bodies of slaves who died while building it. 5500 miles of people still enjoy it their grave.

The Civil War started because the Southerners correctly believed that they would soon be even more outnumbered in Congress and thus always be the poor relation getting a) stiffed with less Federal money for harbors, roads and bridges, b) higher tariffs on their main export crops (cotton --- 75%, tobacco, indigo, rice and jute/hemp rope) and c) victims of Manifest Destiny as industry, and Federal money, was going west, not south. Slavery was legal and few took the initiative to stop it --- certainly not Lincoln! The 11 states who left the Union should have sued in Federal court as the Constitution doesn't say you can't petition to leave. But hot heads on both sides made it a shooting war ... and the rest, as they say, is history. Not as comical or accidental as the origins of WWI but given the time period and that all the dead were Americans it is just as tragic.

Ron DeSantis is getting the lion’s share of national attention for his sweeping victory...adding almost 20 points to his margin of victory in 2018, when he barely won the governorship. But 2 other statewide races on Tuesday featured incumbent candidates who vigorously fought against COVID shutdowns and mandatory vaccines. The majestic structures of ancient Rome have survived for millennia — a testament to the ingenuity of Roman engineers, who perfected the use of concrete. But how did their construction materials help keep colossal buildings like the Pantheon (which has the world's largest unreinforced dome) and the Colosseum standing for more than 2,000 years? Roman concrete, in many cases, has proven to be longer-lasting than its modern equivalent, which can deteriorate within decades. Now, scientists behind a new study say they have uncovered the mystery ingredient that allowed the Romans to make their construction material so durable and build elaborate structures in challenging places such as docks, sewers and earthquake zones.

A 16-year-old girl collapsed and died after suffering a medical emergency during a high school flag football game in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sophomore Ashari Hughes, 16, who played for Desert Oasis High School, collapsed around 7:30 p.m. Thursday after a home game against Valley High School, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
