Some pollster has the Republicans taking back the House, but only gaining one Senate seat and one governor seat. Hoping for better than that. Voter apathy and voter fraud working hand in hand. Nothing changes.

The D'Rats could have a problem cheating, if the red wave materializes in places like NY and other blue states it will be hard to pull off in purple states. NY, CT, NH, etc., went Red and PA goes blue? Just doesn't make any sense.

ABC ran a story last night saying a Red Mirage would appear tonight and then fade as the hours pass, giving way to Democrat victories in various areas. How many more hints do we need about the communists intentions to steal another one? Vote Vote Vote! They may steal a few, but if we win in unexpected districts we can still gain a huge majority in Congress. They can’t cheat in every district!

I wonder if in Vegas people can place bets about what time the vote counting will shutdown in various key states. I'm sure it will be sometime after midnight. Perhaps 1AM. Then it will open back up about 5AM and mysteriously the Democrats will have gained votes during the time the counting was "halted". And it will be enough to give them an insurmountable lead over the Repubs.

Joew9 (#5)..... You Broke the Code! Delayed result is because it takes some time for the 'Rats to figure out how many votes they need, then shove that many (X2) into the system.

As vote counts continue to be posted, it is clear that Republican hopes and dreams of a huge wave election have been dashed. (snip) But in one state, Florida, Republicans have triumphed in tsunami-like proportions. With 98% of the vote counted, Marco Rubio has a 16.4% landslide lead over Senate challenger Val Demings, and Governor Ron DeSantis has a 19.4% lead, a gigantic increase over his fraction of one percent squeaker victory 4 years ago. It’s going to take some time to figure out why the rest of the country isn’t behaving like the Sunshine State, but 3 factors suggest themselves.

Ron DeSantis is getting the lion’s share of national attention for his sweeping victory...adding almost 20 points to his margin of victory in 2018, when he barely won the governorship. Among his pillars of support was his strong opposition to COVID shutdowns of businesses and schools and his opposition to vaccine mandates. But 2 other statewide races on Tuesday featured incumbent candidates who vigorously fought against COVID shutdowns and mandatory vaccines. And in both races the incumbents won victories with even bigger margins than DeSantis. In Kentucky, with 87% of the vote counted, Rand Paul is winning re-election to the Senate with a 22.8% margin)

It’s time, once again, for another climate conference. This will be the 27th desperate effort to save the planet. It doesn’t have to be this way. As of writing, the leaders of China, India, and a host of other countries will not attend. Buckingham Palace stepped in to steal the spotlight in between. John Fetterman obviously hoped that by lowering expectations for last night’s debate with Dr. Oz and by having a closed captioning system with 2 70-inch monitors, he could convince Pennsylvania voters that he was healthy enough to discharge the duties of US Senator. But he equally obviously failed. He opened his remarks with an inappropriate greeting: “Hi. Good night, everybody.” (snip) Fetterman’s performance was bad enough that even the partisan media were forced to acknowledge his poor presentation. Pennsylvania Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman was winning the outstanding in-person and absentee votes in Philadelphia and in a suburban county. That meant essentially that most of Dr. Mehmet Oz’s votes had been counted and allowed the Associated Press to call the race early Wednesday for Fetterman. At times early in the cycle, it seemed Fetterman would run away with the election after handily defeating his primary opponents, but Oz tightened the race, attacking Fetterman as soft on crime and relentlessly questioning whether his Democratic counterpart was fit to serve after he suffered a stroke in May.

"The Red Wave.” If you’ve been watching Fox News and frequenting conservative websites the last few weeks (and this commentator admits he does more than his share of both), you were hearing how Republicans were going to have another one of those massive 2010-style seat pickups in the House. Fox News commentators (yeah, doing it again) in the wee hours of Wednesday morning were struggling to justify salvaging at least a “Red Ripple.” Turned out to be a Red Puddle. Of blood.

I have been pretty clear about my take on election fraud: it happens. How could it not? There is fraud in every aspect of human life, and we generally take precautions to minimize it. In elections? Not so much. It also rarely makes much of a difference, because committing massive fraud is difficult, requires the cooperation of significant numbers of people to pull off, and when it matters a lot the lawyers get involved. I think it happens a lot more than Democrats are willing to admit, but I also think it affects the outcomes of elections a lot fewer times than many Republicans suppose. It is a marginal
