Sometimes, these articles almost write themselves. Or, due to hypocrisy, dishonesty, or unintentional humor, many stories beg to be covered. This is one of them, and the cast is perfect: an ex-Republican congressman, MSNBC, and the Democrat-weaponized FBI — with the CIA tossed in as a bonus.
Our tale begins with Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie’s revelation that now-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy agreed, as part of a deal with GOP lawmakers opposed to his speakership bid, to the formation of a committee modeled after the 1975 Senate Select Committee, formed by Senator Frank Church, which investigated abuses by the CIA, FBI, National Security Agency, and the IRS,
What integrity? They shed themselves of any shread of integrity long ago, and today thanks to Elon Musk the proof is there for all to see, but then you have to see because those who refuse to acknoweldge the truth are part of the problem.

#1 asks the pertinent question. We should all thank Barry Soetoro and his America-hating wife for this fundamental change.

#1 is correct. Most people paying attention already knew that the government was corrupt. However, when Elon Musk courageously exposed it’s depth of corruption with the revelation of the direct communications between the various agencies and the social media giant, it’s going to be hard to deny it when these individuals are brought before the House with the evidence that has been revealed. We are going to see lawyering like we have never seen before to the extent that delays are going to be the norm because the individuals tied to the allegations will have no other strategy. It will be to delay, delay, delay and see if they can hold on until 2024 when they will have a chance to steal another election and save themselves. I am sure democrats are already busy getting lawsuits ready to be filed in order to end whatever committee is created to hold them accountable because they have no intention of complying. Even if they come before the committee, they will not cooperate. As Hillary Clinton famously screeched during the Benghazi investigation, what difference at this point does it even make? This kind of arrogance will be what we will hear and I fear it outcome will be the same, absolutely zero accountability. Has the corruption gone so deep that the outcome is already decided? I pray it has not, but I fear it has.

Shred the hell out of it! The left is just worried they might be loosing another method or platform for rigging elections. They lost Twitter censorship ability. Now they might actually lose the FBI CIA weaponization. The liberals might actually have to begin to rely on good policy for once to win elections.

If I remember correctly, nobody was held accountable for the corruption exposed by the Church committee.

I for one will have more faith in our government if the vile pieces of it are shredded and then combusted! This was particularly ignorant statement by a former congressman. The Roman Catholic church hid the corruption in its ranks thinking the corruption would damage the church. Hiding the corruption did far more damage. Nixon didn't lose the presidency for breaking into Dem headquarters. He lost it by trying to hide the break-in.

From the article: "In reaction to the news that McCarthy agreed to organize the committee to investigate alleged abuses by the FBI and CIA in recent years, as reported by NewsBusters, Jolly suggested that Fox News viewers are degenerate drug addicts, desperate for their next fix of government-hating heroin. Great start, right?"
I think Jolly has had to many jollies because his statement is detestable.
He is very upside-down in his thinking which in turn reinforces my thinking. The American people vote and everything is off limits after the election. We don't even have any process in place where we can verify election results. Let me explain that statement. Any process we have right now is a limited one and it usually involves the judicial/legal branch which is just another branch of the government. Once I cast my vote, who knows what happens and that is my concern. Accountability in government? If anything exists, it is the government overseeing government. It really is a conflict of interest. After all, government oversees individuals and private sector businesses. Just saw an article on another website that the Biden Administration in 2022 audited the poorest taxpayers.
To David Jolly: it is about time that accountability be put in place for government entities. . .

I guess I wonder WHY McCarthy had to be forced to agree to form this committee! Shouldn't that be something he would want to do as soon as he is in Power? Hmmmmm

Unfortunately, all of these investigations will go unreported by the MSM, just more trees falling in the forest.

The left will soon sic Apple and Google on Twitter just like they did Parler. The enemedia's heads will be exploding daily. Those investigated will do whatever they can to refuse to produce evidence. The investigations and hearings should be completely public with no underground bunker stuff because of so-called security reasons. They need to start it right away and don't give them months to produce evidence. They should also pull all the evidence from the January 6 committee and investigate the phony investigators as well. Congress should squash all funding until justice is done, but I'm afraid it will be an exercise in futility. Call me a cynic, but can you blame me?

I hate to be cynical, but I suspect the investigations will not amount to a hill of beans.
Just as the Jan. 6 Committee was a place where bitter politicians ate their sour grapes and the only good event to come from it was the disappearance of Chaney and Kinzinger.

Oh dear, "shred the integrity of the government". What a laugh, a bitter one at that! None of these congress critters are going to be held accountable for anything. Look at all of the people running around dc who should already be in jail, that'll give you the results of any new investigations.
Also, #1 is absolutely correct pointing out the people who refuse to acknowledge anything is wrong. Then again, many of these same people firmly believe this is the way the U.S. has always been. It's what they learned at scrool.

The only thing this will 'shred the integrity of' is the Democrat party and their contributors in the GOPe. We need term limits and many, many other things. Support a Convention of States action.

There is no integrity in the federal government, and there hasn't been since President Ronald Reagan's tenure, although a spark of integrity existed from 2016-2020

Shredding what integrity of the U.S. government has left is exactly what's needed. Only the left thinks the government can do no wrong and is functioning just fine.

The FBI and CIA have NO INTEGRITY now. They are criminal organizations which are destroying the country.
Massie is either ignorant of these facts, or part of the Deep State criminal class that runs DC and worried about losing Deep State control.

It's somewhat ironic that the Church Committee of 1975 was going after the CIA, FBI etc. for unconstitutional acts against various leftist organizations like the anti-Vietnam War groups, MLK Jr., etc. Senator Frank Church was, at that time, one of the most liberal members of congress (The Dem Party of today would probably cancel him as being too conservative). Now, half a century later, those agencies have been weaponized to attack and undermine conservative groups and movements. What they do now would have horrified those members of the Church Committee of 1975. That committee did find some unconstitutional abuses against leftist groups and citizens, but nothing like what they are doing against the right today.

Integrity was lost with the Obama Administration and continued with the bitterness for Trump and now that Joe is in office, the idiotic nonsense continues because no one cares- just greed and line their pockets while they can. Fire them all and strip them of their retirement!
